    Thank you so much for this series. I wasn’t really a fan of epoxy and it’s nice to know that you there are alternatives that don’t take away the shine from the glitter and make the tumbler looks really dull.

    I am brand new to tumbler making and bought epoxy before I realized how dangerous it can be, I really want to switch to CrystaLac now. My only issue is I am not seeing on the website that it is FDA complaint, am I missing that somewhere? I want to make sure I am using the safest products for myself and anyone who will be using my cups. Thank you!

    • @AlisonCrafts
      @AlisonCrafts  4 роки тому +1

      It's definitely FDA Compliant! Totally safe to use! the FDA doesn't regulate top coats but they do make suggestions on what companies should follow and the CrystaLac meets or exceeds those recommendations :)

  • @abbypollard6007
    @abbypollard6007 3 роки тому

    Ok, so question. I have a few projects that I need to use spray paint with. I know that there is at least a 48 hour wait period between applying spray paint and applying crystalac. However, can I go ahead and ModPodge my glitter on during my wait time, or will that affect the gassing off period?

    • @AlisonCrafts
      @AlisonCrafts  3 роки тому +1

      I would wait at least 24 hours before doing Mod Podge. The can of spray paint says it needs 24 hours to dry! Probably best to just wait the 48 hours though.

    I am currently using epoxy but I'm starting to have reactions to it and I'm considering switching. I'm concerned about the cost though. It's much higher than the epoxy I use and you mentioned having to do a lot of coats. Do you know approximately how much it takes to complete one tumbler?

    • @AlisonCrafts
      @AlisonCrafts  4 роки тому +2

      It really depends on the epoxy you used before, but CrystaLac cost's about $1.60 per cup. I do not personally find it more expensive and since I literally can't breathe when I use epoxy, I'm willing to spend more to keep myself and my family safe! Each coat is only about 2 mls of CrystaLac so you're using much much less than epoxy
