Still dated Futaba in my 1st gameplay, and I don’t regret it! Some consider her as a little sister, but that feeling/view never got to me. Akira, Sojiro and her are biologically non-related.
She may be shorter (perhaps due to her lifestyle, I don’t mind though), but I absolutely love her personality, because irl I personally prefer women with eccentric traits; they’re never boring to me.

I've grown to relate to Futaba more and more as the years pass. With my dad passing away, my anxiety, guilt and depression building. And the reliance on my friends to leave my house made me really resonate with Futaba and her situation. Plus she's cute as heck, although her constant references to gaming culture are a bit excessive.

I do like Futaba's character a lot. Though I feel like they wasted a lot of the potential she had. Social anxiety and essentially ptsd since she actually watched her mother commit suicide is something really serious. They could've explored that more in her confidant but because they had to have a mementos quest at the end we end up focusing on Kana for the last parts and less on Futaba's condition and helping her to overcome at least a bit since anxiety isn't really overcome by a trip to the beach lol. I think that's one of the only flaws in some of P5's confidants is that it's a video game and you have to have a big fight at the end of a confidant. It works pretty well in some cases like with Mishima, when you need to change his heart in mementos but you just don't. He learns on his own and grows out of that dark side of his heart without you changing it. I like Futaba's character because the problem she has feels real and human even if she can be a weirdo sometimes it's kinda cute. But that's my take on Futaba.

I too look at Futaba as a little sister. I wouldn't be against dating someone like Futaba (size is NOT a problem), it's just that there are other girls I like more for romantic options. As a friend/little sister, Futaba is top tier.

Multiple dialogue options allow you to refer to her as a little sister. The game itself is acknowledging that seeing her as a little sister is an understandable viewpoint.
Also, she's by far the most imature of the PT. The others are underage but they act like young adults/late teens. Futaba acts like a 12 year old

I love Futaba because she is her own person that doesn't change or act differently for anyone. She has a big role in the game and is probably the second strongest asset to the team (behind Joker) She is also one of the most fleshed out characters in the game

Fuuka might not be the most useful in battle, but I do like how she can actually determine enemies' weaknesses herself without waiting for you to ram your head against the wall. Makes Hama and Mudo skills a lot more useful. I also appreciate being able to warp to the entrance of a dungeon with the press of a button. Reaper's about to catch you? Nope! See ya!

Futaba is best girl and my favorite Waifu. I guess you have to be into nerds/lolies to love her. I personally love her orange hair it fits her perfectly. Try to picture her with any other hair color. For me, her design is too expressive for a character that was supposed to have been an hikikomori for a year or two.
I kinda wished that when you met her for the first time she was... well, a mess.
You know, very skinny (because she doesn't eat regulary), messy black long hair (supposing that it's her natural hair color, after all she's japanese), eye bags, etc...
Then, at some point while you raise her confidant rank, she changes into her current design.
But, whatever... It might be just me...

That's actually a really neat idea. I definitely feel like that would've been more realistic, if not more interesting.
Er, you do realize you DID " change her heart". As in she lost her distorted desire that led to her blaming herself and wanting to die. So what you are seeing is Futaba as she used to be before Wakaba's death. Sojirou confirms it during his events and it's precisely what leads him to confront the Protagonist and Futaba about the Phantom Thieves calling card. Because he knew there was no normal way for someone to suddenly go from refusing contact with anyone to being the old happy-go-lucky selves in just a matter of weeks.
I mean, she already is pretty skinny but I get what you're saying. It's not a bad idea, but people might not have been down for a character changing so much visually after you just got used to her first appearance.
I feel like I'm the only guy who doesn't like this character at all.

Trust me, you aren't the only one at all, I'm the same. To me, she's a mix of the "lol so quirky introvert" and the "supper l33t hacker" character tropes which are among my least favourite in storytelling. She's just so, so annoying, because she feels like a bunch of 40 year old men trying to connect with "da youth."
