- On today's DOUBLE/TRIPLE PACK VELVET ROOM THE CONFIDANTS we talk about the master of the Velvet Room and the Wardens, Caroline and Justine. Are these great Confidants, or does finishing them feel like a prison sentence?

@@issacthompson330 Even better because the skill cards you get from those events help you do the Strength confidant easier (Requiring only the correct persona and using skill card on it to complete)

I actually like Lavenza, and dislike the twins. As for her personality only being just Justine, think of it this way. When she's calm and patient, she's Justine. When she's had enough of your shit (like the time she started yelling at Ryuji because she kept getting interrupted), you see the Caroline.
As for her character design, she's basically designed to look like a maid, which makes me think that Joker's Velvet Room doesn't naturally look like a prison, until Yaldadouchebag pissed in the soup.
Also, I'd say that once the anime finishes, Atlus will consider spoilers free reign, and Lavenza will show up in all the spin-offs or sequels that are post-game (like Arena).
Ah, so we just haven't seen her Caroline side because no-ones been annoying to her yet; I can understand that as I'm kinda like that sometimes.

Igor's voice actor in 5 is a different guy. It used to be Daniel Worren in 3 and 4, and they switched to Kirk Thorton for the real Igor at the end of 5. I believe they reused the Japanese voice lines I think though.
Yeah because the japanese voice actor Isamu Tanonaka passed away at the age of 77 and so because of that they had to reuse his voice lines from persona 3 and 4

Imagine having an actual Igor Social Link, he occasionally congratulates you on your new bonds (like the P4 Anime) and at some point starts feeling a bit down and you're just like, "Is something wrong, Igor?" and he just says "You need not worry" or something and eventually he talks about Philemon and maybe the final boss ends up Nyarlathotep this time and once you finish him off, Philemon comes back and Igor's like "It's good to see you again, Master" or maybe he'd have a more surprised tone (characterization) and you'd be like "So this is Igor's master?" and Philemon would be all "I would like to congratulate you on defeating Nyarlathotep" or maybe something even more formal, and then in the next game Philemon gives you your Persona.
Well we did not get Nyarlathotep, but his father is in Royal.

Fithair, truly, the best UA-cam attendants. I give their social link a 7/10, -1 points for requiring watching no less than five days worth of cutscenes with no dialogue options, and minimal character development, +4 for the quality of the cutscenes only getting better the further in you get.

I feel Igor needs to stay, but they need to find him a new voice actor. I understand they want to be respectful, but they can’t keep reusing his old lines forever.

Since Persona 5 was my first (and only) Persona game I played I didn't get anything suspicious as I never new about his voice actor stuff as well any behavior stuff.
I believe some of the voice lines suggest the twins were going to have scenes hanging out with Joker outside.

i imagine them being able to split and refuse at will now. overwhelm with 2 relativly powerful people or fuse to Megidolaon things to death. might make for a funny arena moveset. normal attacks have her as lavenza and the persona attacks have her split and send out one of the twins.
If you really think about it, Ren truly was a "Wild Card" in all this..... he was just an innocent bystander in this whole affair, a kid dragged into a war he didn't deserve or ask for..... yet despite all that, he proved that when faced with hardships and given the power to make a change, in the end, good wins the day. Of course, Goro represents the polar opposite of that, but my point remains that P5 is the (to my knowledge) first persona game where a Rogue Variable was added to the equation, one meant to be used to prove the folly and fault of mankind's morals, and it ended up proving the value and beauty of mankind's potential and growth. Nice on you, Atlus.
Igors confidont is one of those things that just make it suck to have started with p5 (like me, I didn't even know the series existed till p5) because of what it actually means, you won't even understand the hints because you don't realise somethings wrong
I appreciate that most of her post-P5 appearances kept Lavenza as Lavenza instead of splitting her up into the twins because if you are playing a game that’s explicitly supposed to be a sequel, you should expect to be spoiled about stuff that happened before.
I just looked it up to confirm but Igor's English VA is alive and well, he's even hanneman in 3 houses, unless you were talking about the Japanese VA?

This is my favorite Velvet Room S. Link mostly because it’s much easier to get the Personas with the skill they want, iirc the only one you really have to go out of your way for was the last one which is fine by me. And the skill cards were a huge huge help. I don’t know if P4 Golden did anything different, but it was pretty much RNG if a persona inherited the skill.
I actually kind of like the fact that you have to start with 5 Persona slots when you start a new game+, having all the overpowered personas in dungeon 1 makes the game a little too easy.

Golden did in fact fix the skill inheritance system to how it plays in P5.

We have pretty much 3 situations for Lavenza
A) what you guys mentioned
B) After dancing star night (assuming persona Q2 doesn't fuck sees and the investigation team over even harder with time travel/alt. reality BS) Atlus just says fuck all with Lavenza's current state and actually injects some Caroline into her personality
C) Lavenza will still be in her regular state most of the time but will occasionally split up into Caroline and Justine
When playing I was really hoping that they would indeed become Elizabeth, it felt like that was where it was going.

Well it doesn't matter that they are unfused for Dancing Star Night, since that story isn't a sequel for 5, pretty sure the 2 new dancing games were stated to not be canon this time.

if they remake p5 like they did for the other two modern persona games, im calling lavenza as the new, more powerful super boss instead of the twins.
also, the theory about lavenza and elizabeth being the same person might be interesting considering they both get their names from the same character of Frankenstein, the novel from which all the velvet room inhabitants get their names. but lavenza comments on her "sisters" which are most likely elizabeth and margaret so it could be just coincidence.
Margaret is also a character from Frankenstein so I don't think that theory holds much water.
BUT!
A better theory I've heard is that all the velvet siblings are all split pieces of Philemon. Think about that one!
i stated all the velvet room inhabitants get their names from Frankenstein not just Elizabeth and lavenza. that philemon theory is interesting. unfortunately i havent yet played the classic persona games so i dont know much about who philemon is since they seem to have reduced him to just an obscure cameo.
Still, what would they call the remake anyway? Persona 5 Picaro?

What would have been better (in my opinion) is that Yaldabaoth leaks information about Igor and everything surrounding him and then the true Igor would appear then you’d have to pick either Igor or Yaldabaoth

On Flair guys statement that Yaldabaoth didn't care about Joker. I gotta disagree. Joker was still one of his two special wild cards.
