He is on the last floor of Midlight's Deep/Deep Dungeon. You can also recruit Byblos as well as learn Zodiark here.
I give some basic tips on how to learn Zodiark as well on how to defeat this boss.

There are no words that can express how I felt the first time I both found this boss and then beat him a week later. I remember going around the map afterwards to all the cities and castles trying to find other secrets. To this day, I feel like there is STILL something hidden that no one has ever found lmao. 😂😂😂😂

It would be cool if in order to get his final summons, you would first need to use all the other summons in the battle. And then he would start using the final summon so that the summoners could gain the the skill.
That is a really cool idea. Sort of reminds me of Chrono Cross in a way with the element color order.

I have played this game more times than I can count and only remember doing the entire Deep Dungeon one time. Crazy that I never went back to it. It's cool to see this again, after so many years of personally avoiding it. lol

You can spread Zodiark around your party. You can use it on enemy summoner from random fights so he learns is. Ofc they need to survive. And then they use it back on summoners you want to learn. I think it was also possible to do it if your summoner gets charmed by an enemy and uses it on party.
I mention that strategy in one of the replies in the comments. However it will require some RNG and setting up as you need to find an enemy summoner and or thief.
You can also learn it from Elidibus again in Rendezvous Brave Story which I also talk about in a future upload.
I would cast it on enemy summoners kill them than learn it
I ended this fight very quickly with Beowulf using Break, Brawler Ninja Ramza, and Balthier being a boss on his own. The hardest part was getting into position to find the secret items on the map. Although I was in the level 60s at the time, so the enemies weren't as tough as they are in the video.
Oh yeah the multi hit from ninja can do a lot of damage here. Yeah the reavers do scale to be quite strong with a lot of HP. I remember not being able to one hit them in past playthroughs with Excalibur and then getting a negative status ailment on me lol bad rng
My strategy to get all of the items and zodiark is basically have two ninjas with arts of war and shirahadori. teleport to Elidibus Rend Magic attack Until he basically only does 100 something damage and then Rend speed until he basically cant move anymore (He will be able to act and hit summoner but you would have to wait 50 times to get him to act) to clear the bybloses basically u can jusy use Count Cid and a Dark knight both of them alone can kill the bybloses cause they slow AF Then get ya summoner up to the treasure hunter tiles and get hit with zodiark and learn it
For me I don't think the rend speed is necessary just because he is really slow even without doing it. I didn't rend his speed in this upload and I was still waiting around for a while.

Iirc, I also decreased his faith into 10 beside the mana shield so I could safely tank his Zodiark. Also, Orlandeau so stronk ^^

@@tiagocryptoNo need to do that, learn with one and cast it on a enemy Summoner Unit to her learn it and cast it on you again !

I think I had 2 generics and Ramza learn Zodiark while Orlandu and Beowulf wrecked the Biblos creatures and lowered his MA a little. His other summon is really nasty, I think its from FF7, the Midgar snake (where you gotta catch a chocobo to cross the swamp)
That one hits hard too. For the sake of upload time and purposes I only used one summoner. But I rarely use summon magic much myself. Good thing this guy is really slow.

Wasn’t there a way to teach your characters zodiark? I remember hearing about it back when the original came out
Yes it is possible find an enemy summoner, cast it on the enemy and hope they survive it. Then have the summoner cast it on your party.
Just make sure your characters baes job is summoner, and to survive it or have the enemy survive it reduce MA and Faith slightly. Use mana shield etc. There are several strategies
@@J7Jase pretty good strat honestly. I was thinking like getting an enemy thief to charm one of my summoners that had it and hope they cast it on my crew
I remember learning zodiac by having the ability mp switch, and when they got hit by the summon the mp would take the brunt of the attack then the option pops up.
Plz tell me. I have final fantasy tactics for psx emulator. Whats the diff between ff tactics and ff tactics wotl?? I wana njoy the best version as u said that psp tactics 2.5 mod is better.
War of the Lions has onion and dark knights if I'm correct.
There are several differences like IDESTROYER has mentioned. There are more jobs like having access to Onion and Dark Knights. You have more roster space, sidequests, Balthier and Luso join, more new equipment items, completely new translation, sound quality isn't as good as the PSX. Some abilities also cost way more like Fly and job requirements for some jobs are slightly different too. War of the Lions by itself is good. 2.5 is a good mod however I still feel the game without any mods is best.

Invite a Pig or Swine by using Entice from Orator/Mediator. Dorvauldar Marsh the place next to Limberry Castle is a good place. Hope the Pig lays eggs to get Swine or the Swine lay eggs and hopefully you get Wild Boars.
You have to have someone with Poach or Secret Hunt equipped then KO your wildboars in battle. The common poach for them is ribbon so you should be able to get it. Hope that helps!

Fairly easy since the bosses stats can not change without modding. Video games are super predictable sometimes. I bet they will not develop a game that stumps everyone. No sales if that happens.
For a first time player and someone who doesn't know the ins and outs. This one can definitely be hard just like most things

Nowadays I avoid Deep Dungeon too, overall for me it's a boring dungeon that wastes a lot of time (still, I find Deep Dungeon wat better than the palace of the dead from Tactics Ogre).
The only negative of skipping Deep Dungeon is, precisely, skipping this battle, one of the best of the game, and also trying to get Zodiark for my only summoner in the party was a cool dinamic.
Elidibus is a cool and interesting enemy too.
I rather not go through there if I can now lol. And yeah agreed. Palace of the Dead had way too many floors lol.

Yeah he is just so slow so he hardly gets in any turns. I thought the Reavers were harder than him tbh
