I thought Ninja Gear and a couple other items are worn (rarely) by enemies once your level is high enough. Is that not the case?

I’ve only COMPLETED the game once with a star. As you know, I have found some reason to reset the multiple times I’ve played. I don’t know how the starred Poach items work beside that single finish. Are you able to get the equipment on the finishing file? I always thought you had to start over again for it to be available.

It’s a lot more passive than a real ffta game. But I really like the design and abilities they crafted for that. And with the status effect and everything I can see how it’s a bit of a condensed real match you could have had on a regular board. I would have played 🥹

Oh, I will be needing this soon! I'm playing my Reach the Future mod playthrough right now, and I decided to do the original game after it as well. I absolutely loved farming JP in this dungeon by using toads on everyone and going afk 😂

Probably this is the one of the very few parts that I hate of the game (the other being that Rapha roof fight). I hate the darkness mechanic of it. I hate searching for the exits, I hate having to decrease the bravery of my treasure hunter, and while the items are cool by the time you get them the game is technically over, so they are kind of useless by then, and you don't even really need them to finish the game, as the last enemies of the game are not even prepared for your overpowered party (not even Ultima herself). Still, way better implemention than Palace of the Dead in Tactics Ogre 😂. Good guide!!!

As for the zodiac, you can try to lower the boss's faith so that he doesn't hit so hard with the zodiac, plus cast the shell spell on the characters. Another difficulty here is that he uses the zodiac, but more often he uses another skill that doesn't use MP. In PlayStation One, he calls it Midgar Swarm.

I remember on one site in the section secrets for treasure hunting in deep dungeon for these purposes it was advised to use Rafa/Rapha as a treasure hunter because of her low courage, this is 32 points. Apply the skill of the mediator trehreaten once, which lowers courage by 20 points, and by setting the skill move find item, you can send Rafa/Rapha to look for treasure.

I initially hated Midnight's Deep due to how dark the setting was 😅 but you can find some nice items there.

I didn't know about this dialogue in the PlayStation Portable version either. I only know if you take Agrias into this battle, then Agrias learns from Gafgarion that Ramza Lagria is actually Ramza Beoulve, the brother of Lord Ducedarg, who is involved in the attempted murder of Princess Ovelia. I also remember that at this point my game was bugged due to localization in another language. And it was on PlayStation One. There they started this dialogue and something broke. Agrias and Gafgarion started an endless dialogue about 100 daggers, about some kind of profession skills. But always about some 100 things. I completed the English version on PlayStation One.And there were no bugs. The fault was in the localization into another language, which is why there were 10 such bugs.

gonna be honest, on paper the changes in 2.5 sounds fantastic but in pratice the changes are really bad , it legit plays like a demote to the valeria mod . Making female exclusive gear avaiable to everyone(except 1 piece of armor exclusive for each gender) and increasing the female units PA while reducing the MA growth and vice versa with male units really broke the difference gender made to units, now all of them are a carbon copy of each other and dont feel unique AT ALL in any point. Theres a bunch of other "balance changes" that kinda ruined the fft vibe when youre playing it and that actually made the game unfun to me to the point i prefer to play 1.3 insane from scratch than this mod. Valeria for me is stll the best mod followed by 1.3 .

Well, I saw the title and after watching the video I will give my humble opinion on just 1 point about the two versions. I played FFT when it was released, and its PSP version too (I didn't like it much), and what surprised me was the impeccable quality of the sound of the soundtrack and of the BATTLES especially (when you do a sword, stab, some sacred blow and kill the enemy), this point I HATED in the PSP version, it sounds like bells are horrible, in the PSX version the quality of the fight sounds is much better! I hope that if one day they make a "new remaster" that they use the PSX audio quality version. in my opinion the best version is PSX, best quality sound!
