Agrias is my #1 favorite character from Tactics, as she saved my sorry hide big time when I fought Queklain/Cu Chulainn for the very first time. I went in to that fight with my "usual team" that consisted of Ramza, Agrias, a Knight, a White Mage with Black Magic, & a Thief. Ramza & Agrias were my main damage-dealers, my Knight was pretty much my designated "tank", my mage was there either for support/healing if the fight got nasty or nuking them with black magic if there was a lot of "fodder" to get rid of, and I brought my Thief because I was expecting a boss I could steal from like with Gaffgarion prior. Very first turn, Queklain petrifies Ramza before he even gets to act (and at the time I had no way to cure him, as while my White Mage did know Gold Needle, she didn't have the Items ability equipped, nor did she know Esuna yet) which completely took him out of the fight and robbed me of one of my two main damage-dealers and left me with only four characters available to try and kill Queklain. By the time Queklain died, my Thief was down and was at 0 turns left before she crystallized (IIRC, if Queklain hadn't died right then, her turn was next so she would have been gone permanently), my mage was totally spent on MP and was down to about 25% HP, my Knight was down to about 20 HP total, Agrias was down to about 50% HP....and Ramza was still petrified. Ever since then, Agrias has had a special place in my heart for saving child me from losing my first attempt at beating Queklain. As a result, as soon as I am able to permanently recruit her, she becomes a permanent mainstay on my "A Team".

Rafa and Malak can occasionally take out super tough targets if the target area of their spell is only a few tiles. I like them!
As long as its on WOTL where they are significantly better and of course some RNG, Rapha I feel is far superior though

I have only played the PS1 version. Maybe I need to play this remastered version.
There are some really cool features of the game and some nice additions. The PS1 had the cool ability quotes and better sounds also the names of things were memorable but the extra stuff is nice

No he isn't. He just has a unique sprite and Poach built into game hunter. However if you dismiss him you can never get him again.
But its up to you.
cloud is actually VERY powerful, one of his limits does more dmg based on how much dmg uve done to the enemy, so its a major boss killer, its his 4th move
I mean, I still think he is inferior by far and a disappointment as a special character, The charge time even with Swiftness is still low and he is a liability. Agrias, Meliadoul just out damage him easily and faster
He is still fun to mess around with though and I have a blast mixing things up
Cloud starting at level 1 isn't necessarily a bad thing.
If you abuse the level up/down trick, you'll appreciate having full control over his stat growth--unlike, say, Rafa/Malak who really need a lot of overall improvements since their unique jobs' stat growth isn't very good. Cloud's Soldier job class has great growths in most areas BUT speed, but since he's level 1, you have plenty of chances to level him in a speedy class (like Ninja or Mime) so you have less of a need to de-level him first, unlike with other characters.
I mean kinda sorta.
You aren't entirely wrong on the abusing level up and down trick but at the same time anyone can be insane with it.
Which I admire your hard work and dedication but his Limit is just too slow, you need Materia Blade equipped which honestly is a bad weapon. I'm a huge fan of Cloud Strife the character but in FFT he just isn't great or even pretty good.

95 Brave. 75 Faith. For my characters. Any higher faith makes the enemies dangerous from my experience. I coukd do higher faith yet be more careful.
I feel like even 70 at times the enemies have hit my Ramza hard especially if they have good or best compatibility. So I totally see what you mean
To micromanage it turns like a 95% reraise chance into a 98%. Big difference on calculation when I play it too safe.@@J7Jase

So if Ramza has higher faith, the enemies hit harder? Even in the ps1? And just Ramza? I'm just curious because I've always wanted this game to be more difficult.
Having higher faith in general means enemy magic will hit way harder and things like Slow are way more likely to land not just Ramza but his faith stat can be higher at 97.
So what you can do is get it to 97 and just not use magic for a more challenging run lol
How zodiac reflects on FFT???
I have a video all about Zodiac signs and what they do on the channel however,
in short you will do more or less damage, and the success rate of most abilities will be higher on you and target if compatibility is good and best and less successful if bad or worst

I was watching some tactics competition video on UA-cam and I knew early on they were using a mod during it (the psp vs option gaming; wish they were playing without cheats or mods- the way intended though..) and adding moves from FFTA like Saint Cross, Throw Dagger etc. BUT then I saw in a battle one had the holy knight version of Delita- I thought they cheated for him, gave the video a dislike & stopped watching but thought maybe he’s a hidden character I don’t/ didn’t know about but seems not- glad I wasn’t mistaken but also, sucks that I wasn’t lol 😂
Yeah, got all these characters but the last. Never do that thing you have to battle through to get him so… And don’t look cool or sound interesting enough to bother with…
They are some cool guys but I can understand or see your point for not playing the base version of the game for pvp.
I mean sorta they are cheating for him lol adding him in via Lioneditor or something.
I love Cloud but he was a let down in Tactics.
@@J7Jase Oh, I am not talking about Cloud lol, will always grab him. It’s that purple skinned beast… Doing all these battles in this dark map place & IF the creature survives, it joins your gang, that you mentioned last.
Besides, let down or not… Can always equip him and do solo battles using just him for MORE of a challenge for one’s self & grits & giggles too…
But monster characters… Cool & can be fun to have in your party (imo the dragons & [black] Behemoths) but… The secrete monster…. Eh. Just a purple sprite of those white creatures in the last fight with those two assassins..

FFT set the bar so high, there isn't another tactics game that I can enjoy. I hope they remake FFT like they did FF7 :/
Outside of FFT I don't play that many other JRPG tactical games.
I mean, it would be cool and I'd buy it personally. But based on sales and to make the most money I'm not sure if that is the best decision financially since it didn't sell as well compared to other Final Fantasy titles despite being well praised and loved by its smaller fan base.

Only played the ps1 version... But i played that thing to death .. i hate the grind though... And also Cloud... That dude is a big disappointment... And the reason i never really gave ff7 that high of a praise that everybody thinks it deserves..

Hmm if you hate the grind then I'm not so sure then.
I like Final Fantasy 7 a lot. He is a beast in that one and if you love old school JRPGs it is worth it.
If you can access the other features like the co op multiplayer and are interested in some of the side quests I do recommend it. But based on this comment I'm not sure I will as the names of the abilities and sounds might be a turn off
