Thank you for doing real subtitles!! It takes time and effort which is why so many channels use auto caption and never even bother to do a quick proofread, but when subtitles are done right it is REALLY, REALLY appreciated.
I love falafel, who doesn’t ? Great recipe ! I love Lebanese food and gastronomy, it’s the best in the world. I’m from Norway, I got the chance to study Arabic at the American University of Beirut eight years ago, it was wonderful.... beautiful country, people, rich culture and history. This is Lebanon in a nutshell. Shokran!
I love that you did 2 versions of the falafel!! I am literally obsessed with your page. every time I have friends over, I go on here to get authentic Lebanese recipes and recreate them.
If you use that kind of bread, I can really recommend, to tear it apart, so that you have two round sheets. Then wrap everything in one of the layers and then the other layer around. It holds better like this and the bread gets a nicer consistency. All the good falafel stores here make it like this.
I'm anAmerican 60 years old Never had them. Just made them with olive oil. I can't tell you how great they are Thank you for sharing your recipe 😃😃😃😃😃😃😃
Joseph A, yes, there are various styles, al pastor Style is one of them, some others are called "tacos árabes". So yummy,..! But shawarmas are still on top.
What a great recipe, I swapped the flour for chickpea flour as I have some to hand, this keeps it gluten free and seems to be a very logical swap if it's simply to mop up excess moisture. Love the tahini sauce too. I have been making these weekly now, they're that good!
Absolutely delicious, I love Lebanese food---I make flax wraps for my falafel sandwiches. When I go all out I make falafel, hummus, dolmas, and avgolemono. I've never tried to bake falafel, I will now. Thank you for this!
I've been making these for a while now but came back to see about baking them. Thanks. Turned out great. I cooked extra and used them, cut in quarters, as "croutons" on some lentil soup.
Hi, I made this recipie today. I divided the mixture into two, just like you I baked one batch and fried the other. I would say I definitely prefer the fried version as its more crispy. The baked are also good however you can taste the rawness of the ingredients. I cant wait to make some falafel wraps!! Thankyou so much 💓
Thank you so much for clearing out why one mustn't use canned chickpeas. Making them for the first time tomorrow. Was surprised to learn they're not cooked per se!
I made this recipe today. All from scrach, the falafel, the pita bread and the tahini sauce. It was the best falafel that I ever made. I loved this recipe. It is easy and tasty. Thank you for sharing. Next I want to try the houmous with the mince meat and pune nuts.
I am Lebanese, and grew up eating all the delicious dishes, but never knew that I was missing out on falafel! I can't wait to make this with the tahini sauce. Thanks for sharing.
I have cooked the recipe today and everyone in my house loved it. They are my best attempt at falafel and I'm adding the recipe to my cooking notebook, this is my falafel recipe for ever! Thank you very much. I've also tried the humus and it was very good, but skinning the chickpeas was a bit hard work. Thank you again.
I tried falafel for the first time recently. I fell in love! Where has it been all my life??? I am definitely going to try to make them. Thank you for the video.

Delicious and so beautiful! Thank you for educating us on the proper way to pronounce the name. You do such a great job covering the details and giving instructions. Thank you for creating them. I’ll surprise my mom for lunch with this recipe. She’ll love it. 🙏🏽♥️😋
Wonderful video, and clear and concise recipe. Very well done! Quick note: Definitely preferable to tear the bread into 2 sheets or cut in half in order to fill the pocket rather than keeping it intact.
Really clear instructions! I made falafel with the tahini sauce you recommended from another of your videos - the combination was amazing! So delicious, thank you so much! It’s going to become a regular dish of mine!

I am an older man now, retired and living in Kona Hawaii. I am a half Hawaiian half Irish kid who was born in San Francisco during the 1940’s! I have a love affair with Falafel which was born in 1961 in Haifa. During my formative years my godmother and my parents developed within me a strong bent towards independent thinking and a tremendous desire to experience new places and things. During my senior year of high school I was able to talk my parents into letting me, upon graduation, travel to Israel to live and work on a kibbutz on the northern border of the country along the Israeli Lebanese border. One of my fondest memories of that year was traveling down to Haifa on my rare days off with the few pennies I earned--I would walk around as a student/tourist and twice a day spend my little monies on street vender Falafel in Pita Bread along with an Orange soda. I was unable to explain this joyful experience to my friends once back in the states until twenty years later when Falafel became somewhat known ! I am going to make your wonderful looking recipe and eat it and dream of things in the past in a world that is now forgotten ! As they say in Hawaii-Aloha and Mahalo Nui Loa Dorn

Love this!!!!
Unfortunately, my husband does not, I end up cooking them for just me😂
Falafel is not lebanese its Egyptian. Our authenic version tastes better than chickpea version
I made this recipe for the first time and it was perfect ! I am totally hooked, and have cut my burger consumption by at least half.

can you freeze falafel?
@@rufaidahkaduji1646 yes you can, but if you’re gonna freeze them don’t add the baking powder to the mixture and add them later after it thawed
