Mind Over Munch this is all I needed today, was going to look for some inspiration online but saw that you posted this and it was perfect timing! I’m going to apply for one job every day for this month, graduating from college in May so I gotta start at some point! Thank you for your content💙
This video is JUST what I needed. I have never been one to make or believe in resolutions because no one ever completes them. This however, is so attainable and easy to digest. I love it!
This is a great idea that will actually stick (hopefully!) for extreme procrastinators like me, who will find any reason not to do something! Can't wait to try it out.
I think my first resolution is to eat breakfast every day. I'm awful at eating right. I'm a stay at home Grandma with a childcare business and I find myself not eating most of the day. I gorge myself from about 6pm to bedtime. It's so bad that at times I'll wake up sick in the morning. This is a great time to change this bad habit into something good. Thank you so much for reminding me that it's time to reboot for a new year. Have a happy new year everyone!
I was searching for laundry hacks on the internet the other day (due to never successfully AND consistently summiting Mt Laundry) and something very simple changed my mentally instantly: if your clean laundry doesn't end up folded and put in the right place, your method is failing. That got me. I *knew* that, but being told it really slapped me right in the face. And it's true- when I leave unfolded laundry there to wrinkle in a basket I am only stressing myself out more. Good luck with your resolution! I've had the same goal over the last few weeks and I've been making big, consistent improvements! 🙂
As always you are right on time girlie!!! I love this concept. I am going on a detox for 100 days starting today, and along with that here are the my resolutions for the month: get 8 hours of sleep, drink at least 96 ounces of water a day, floss every day, get 10K steps a day, wash dishes everyday, workout at least 5 days a week , and time management!! Thanks for the motivation!
This is so good! I actually set 100 goals at the end of the year, and like half of them is "do a month of ...", and you're providing tools for it and a better understanding! Thank you!
This is an excellent practice. Monthly for sure, is the best way to create a “good” habit. Thanks so much for sharing. Can’t wait to get started. My January goal is to increase my # of steps taken each day. Thanks again and Happy New Year.
My monthly goal will be to limit my mindless phone/device usage to 30 minutes at a time and then doing something productive for at least 10 minutes. I know that sounds ridiculous, but I keep finding that my big chunks of free time just disappear when I get sucked in to the unimportant device vortex 📱🌪️ I'm going to keep a list of bite-sized tasks to do and set a timer. Wish me luck and happy New Year!🎉
I got those netted washing machine bags for delicates. I put socks in one so I also don’t have to dig through the laundry for tiny items to match them. It makes washing, folding, and turning them inside out so much easier. Plus I never have one sock somehow not get into the first load and then having to wait another full load of laundry to get the other sock
Love it! I was just telling someone how overwhelmed I felt with the goals I want to achieve in 2019. I really like breaking it down into 30 day increments, takes off the pressure of a full year.
This is very inspirational. This idea is more ideal than having a year resolution. Cause we all know most of us will stop sooner. Having monthly resolutions will help create new habits and accomplish more in the year.
Great video. Thanks!! At the end of December I took inventory of all the food I had in the fridge, freezer, and cupboards. My goal for January is to not spend any money on food until what's already in the house has been used. (Bananas and soy/coconut milk are the only exceptions.) I think it's a great way to cut down on food waste and save money.
Love this goal!!! I need to do the same... I started doing this month's ago and it got a bit better, i just need really focus on it more so it gets better. Happy new years
This was really great! I tell my students that I don’t make new year’s resolutions because I believe in beginning now when you need to make a change but this takes it to a much more specific level. These are great actionable steps on how to put my abstract idea into actionable, achievable steps. Thank you so much for this video! This has helped so much! I have to decide what my first intention will be. It’s literally 1:48am and I have been up all day since I made the decision to go grocery shopping for very healthy food rather than my daughter and I eating healthy for half the month and ordering pizza or getting Chick-fil-A for the 2nd half as I have done for a while now! Maybe my first intention will be to get 8 hours of sleep. I wake up at 2:45am and start work at 4:00am so maybe that’s a good place to start! ~ God bless!
I love you hun. Happy New Years. I set goals. I like how you used the words habits. Thanks for the info from your experience and breakdowns. Good stuff. Keep doing your videos. Wish you more success.
Thank you for this video. I usually don't set new year resolutions but this year I decided to try but didn't know where to start from. I'll be trying this method for sure. :)
Oh man, I have neglected your channel for far toooooo long. I missed you! :) love all of your videos, have been a subbie of yours for yrs and I always come back to your recipes though! Thank you for all you do in this channel &incorporating Meatless Videos. Thank you.

FABULOUS IDEA!!! We all should follow this, because how many of us don’t make it a year with our resolutions... Thank you so very much. I did subscribe to your channel looking forward to many more videos
I don't typically do new year's resolutions because it sets you up for justified procrastination (eg I'll start ____ at the first of the year, month, Monday etc.) but continually work on myself. However since its now Jan 1 you've convinced me and I like your plan. *First resolution is 5 min stretch/ yoga before bed and first thing in the morning.
I love this!! You can totally do that for 30 days :) I hope you'll print out the calendar and worksheet to help stick with it and show yourself that you can do it NOW, without procrastinating :)
I agree about the exercise more for most popular new resolution because I work part time in a YMCA and we have so many people in the gym right now. Not that I'm complaining it's good that people are taking care of themselves.
So awesome & guess what? Before I saw this, I decided to exercise DAILY for just 30 days, starting today . Day one, done! My "rules" are 15 minutes minimum. I hope it'll stick after the 30 days, too. And some days "exercise" can be a slow walk (e.g. recovery) or gentle yoga. I just want to do *something* daily. Thanks for this! Printed out the PDF and filling it in now, posting the calendar where I can see it daily, too.
I love it! This video is basically the book "The Compound Effect" by Darren Hardy summed up and it's really helped me implement new habits in my daily life. Happy New Years!!
Love the idea... So much more control and less worry when we only plan for a month and clever because it takes 21 days to form a habit... Instant subscribe 😁😉
This is phenomenal! Thank you so much for sharing this. I’m going to try it. I have already decided to seriously reduce my sugar intake in January, and it’s already making a difference in how I’m feeling. Maybe in February I’ll find ways I can work movement into my work day. (I have a desk job.)
Alyssia, this is so helpful! Thank you for all these wonderful videos. Thank you for the pdfs and for working so hard. My first goal is to eat a fruit and veggie everyday.
This is great!! It makes it more attainable. I never stick with a goal and this makes it seem more likely for me to stick with it. My January goal is to floss every day!! THANK YOU!!!
I've never had a serious New Year's resolution because I saw everyone else fail around me, but your wisdom makes so much sense 😂 I would like to on average revise at least 5 days a week, being at least an hour study per day (student life, yay). Thank you!
Alyssia! Thank you for this. This just being the first day of the month/year has been super rough. I'll be doing this for sure. As for what my Monthly Resolution will be? Don't know. Will figure that out in the morning.
What a wonderful and incredibly motivational video. I recently made it a habit to make my bed everyday (after realizing making my son do it was a little unfair if I didn’t lol). It’s now something I do without thinking. Definitely gonna follow your tips for finding a new healthy or helpful habit to create each month! Happy new year!
Love this! I'm a firm believer that new year is a great time for positive change and inspiration and most people hate it because they set an unrealistic and vague goal for a whole year, of course they will give up! I have goals every month and really work to achieve them. I have a list of 10 goals monthly. Some big and important (tax return, work deadlines) and some small and fun (bake something, go out somewhere new). I KNOW I won't achieve all 10. My goal is to complete 5 or more and I've 'won' the month. I love your idea to of making a habit for 30 days and doing one each month! I might add that alongside my goals this year or make it one of the goals. Do___ for 30 days. Thanks for the inspiration as always Alyssia xx
I'm doing something similar, I set broader new year's resolutions and every month, I am giving myself a challenge for some kind of "habit" to do every day throughout this month and every challenge contributes to some goal I set at the beginning of the year. This month for example I take part in the 100 Ab Challenge by blogilates which helps me reach my goal to take care of my physical health and exercise more.
Alyssia, Happy New Year to you and Christian and the whole family!!! Your PDF aid is way cuter then my 3 ring style doodle notebook...lol. Thanks much!!! Can’t wait to see what you have “cooked Up” for 2019!! 💜😺👏🏼
thank you so much, Happy New Year! I love your goal of flexibility! Christian is working on this too :) Maybe there's a resolution to stretch 10 minutes a day, or something like that? :) Sending light and love!!!
I'm taking Rip Esselstyn's 7 day challenge (whole foods plant based low fat low salt and sugar). Once the 7 day challenge is over, I plan to continue with the whole foods plant based diet, but ease the restrictions on salt and sugar a bit.
My Resolutions are 1) Sculpting my body via weightlifting 3 times a week, 2) Developing a writing habit of 15 minutes a day and 3) Creating a donation bag for Good Will. Thank you for your tips and the sheets. UR AWESOME

How did I miss this last year?! Love this idea. But I can't decide if I should start a plank challenge or the 30 day language practice. Maybe both since one is physical and one mental.
This was great info! Thank you!!!I already have my calendar! First monthly resolution is to drink at least 115 ounces of water every day!😁❤ Happy New Year!
Thank you for a very nice printable. I think monthly resolutions are a great idea. I think my first one will be to keep track of when I take my supplements, ibuprofen, etc. Forgetting whether I've had a dose of ibuprofen has really been messing with my mind lately. I want to use it to keep pain at bay, but I can't assume that just because I'm hurting, I need more. I must know if I took it or not. We'll see how it goes.
yes! I wanted to elaborate on this but worried it would make the video too long. I used to struggle with exercise addiction, for years. Being overly concerned about my workouts and planning them only fed into the addiction and made my relationship with exercise very unhealthy. By using this tool for 30 days and deciding to NOT let myself pre-plan my workouts, it helped me let go of the control and anxiety :)
Can you elaborate on this on a video. I obsess with my workouts to the point that I postpone other things in my life such as my social life and education
What’s your first Monthly Resolution going to be!?
Do more exercise
To improve my sleeping patterns! I want to go to sleep and wake up at a consistent time.
I want to commit to eating at least one fruit and one vegetable daily! As time goes on I want to increase this as well ☺️

I LOVE that! Yay! :) Happy New Year!
We'll see how it goes.
that's a great idea!
I find preloading my meds/supplements into a 7-day pillbox really helpful for keeping track.
Happy New Year!! Great video I had to share. Thank you
Happy New Year! thank you so much :)
Thank you so much for this video
my pleasure! Thank you
Loved this video! I'm writing my goals down now! Although I'm curious as to why you've decided not to plan your pre-workouts.
@@MindOverMunch thank you for this! Have a blessed day!💕
Can you elaborate on this on a video. I obsess with my workouts to the point that I postpone other things in my life such as my social life and education
