    How about levi jones leary? Kade couldn't pass his guard and he's nowhere to be found

      Not just Kade, but not a single person in the whole tournament. He’s starting to look like 2019 Levi again

      He's really high A for us, along with guys like Dante and Andrew Tackett. We're just waiting for them to win a big one like ADCC/CJI or IBJJF gi Worlds.

      I beg to differ. Great to win a million dollars, I’ll take that any time. But he didn’t beat anyone of note. The greatest heavyweights didn’t compete in CJI except Victor Hugo.

      You BEG? have actually looked at Nicky rods strength of schedule since the 2022 silver medal ( it’s only silver cause Gordon was his opponent) ??? ??? The guy snapped Gordon’s foot via toe hold in their rematch at fight pass, if he dislocated it He’d of won..
      he’s beat Luke Griffith Kyle big Dan yuri simoes mason Fowler reberto jeminez twice Vagner etc etc all over 2 year period. Look at Pena Duarte strength of schedule record n match preformance in that time…
      his loss to victor was because there’s no minus for guard pull at wno unlike adcc . Literally nothing happened no sweep nothing
      Not trying to be rude but your outta pocket. He was already the second best in the world coming into the tournament..

    • @user-vc6
      @user-vc6 4 місяці тому +3

      I’ll also say the cji over 80 was not any easier then a adcc over 99 bracket. Bunch of the adcc trials winners were in it
      If you actually knew what has happened to Adam Bradley In adcc matches you’d think much better of him. Dude didn’t get points in his finals trial match and basically beat jc bodoni In the Dallas open a few weeks ago.. Felipe Andrew has over 300 black belt matches and won 270 of them. Just do yourself a favour look at his accolades. Remember those tournaments are multiple matches a day against monsters . look at the names he’s beat in a single or two day event … Gi is different but it’s not different.

      @@user-vc6 Nicky’s claim as 2nd best is not founded on facts. Especially when Kaynan and Pena are multiple time ADCC champions. Based on strength of schedule and performance, one could argue Meregali over Nicky Rod (Not an argument I care for tbh). As you mentioned, Felipe Andrew’s accomplishments are Gi based. Yes, it’s very different. None of the people he beat are accomplished in the No gi scene. Also, breaking Gordon’s foot doesn’t count as a victory. We need to stop making that argument.

    For Giancarlo there’s a few things to mention. He competed and won all 4 of his division matches before absolute which would far fatigue him than Dante and Cyborg who went out earlier in their own. He also believed he was beating cyborg and it was a tactical error not realising he got scored on after looking much more dominant against cyborg as for his Dante match it was very close and Dante was much fresher

    Gordon 1.
    Nicky Rod 2.
    Kynan 3.
    Peña 4.
    Hugo 5.
    My big boy rankings. (Hugo only this low due to his last performance) he has
    The best chance of getting higher as he’s still young and has beaten a lot of top names including Rod.

    Until someone beats Gordon, he's always gonna be the best. Nicky Rod is definitely getting better but he didn't beat any real world champions at CJI
    I still have kate above makeup, but Andrew is right there with Tye and Mica.
    Levi Jones and Merigalli are little hard to rank now

  • @TPM1878

    One could make the argument that Nicky Rod is the 5th best heavyweight. 4th at best.
    1. Gordon Ryan for obvious reasons.
    2. Kaynan: Based on achievement and big match credibility. Multiple time ADCC champion.
    3. Pena: Achievement as multiple time ADCC champion. Also he has 2 wins against Gordon. Massive feat considering Gordon hasn’t lost since.
    4. Meregali: Based on strength of schedule and dominance in his victories.
    5. Nicky Rod: I don’t mind Nicky in the 4th spot. The guy just knows how to compete. Skill level doesn’t matter as much if you’re that good a competitor.

  • @sammalama

    Awful list. You just stacked everyone in S-tier, that's not how S-tier works. That's like saying everyone is a 10.

    • @JiuJitsuOracle-lz9yf
      @JiuJitsuOracle-lz9yf  4 місяці тому +2

      Out of the thousands, or millions, of grapplers in the world, these guys are all 10s right now. Everyone else would be A-D tier, but it would be too big a list to do on one podcast (or perhaps in one lifetime) and the unproven tier in particular would be absolutely massive.
      - Ross

    • @sammalama
      @sammalama 4 місяці тому +2

      @@JiuJitsuOracle-lz9yf Well if you put it that way then yes, every single ADCC / CJI competitor is "S" tier compared to all the grapplers in the world some of which are 70 year old hobbyists, or your average competitor going to NAGA's every couple of months. You just removed all meaning of your list!!
      Take this as positive criticism, if you want to make a tier list, and stack everyone in "S" and then put a few in "A" that's not just lazy, but also boring. It literally means everyone is the same to you, in which case why even make a list. To make it exciting try reserving S-Tier for only one or two people.

    • @JiuJitsuOracle-lz9yf
      @JiuJitsuOracle-lz9yf  4 місяці тому +1

      We did reserve S-tier for the elite. That's the point. There's 11 of them. There's loads that didn't make it, across lots of divisions, in both the male and female categories. If you want to put 2 people in S-tier, fine. We chose 11.
