G'day Pam 👋🏻💖 I felt like a real shell shopper today 🤩 there was a lot to pick and choose from; I could have easily spent another 2 hours there (I'd already been there for at least 4 that morning) if I didnt need lunch 😅 Oh, and I had planned to meet up with Mr Sheller that day... He just came back from an overseas trip, and had a shell for me to pick up 😲 A nautilus, but with reddish stripes instead of dark orange (I wonder if the stripes fade over time?)! I digress 😅 Ohhh so your favourite is actually the Dwarf Violet Snail 💜 I haven't seen one of those for a long time now. I am very partial to that Red-lined Bubble too, but the lines on the Double Banded Snails are lovely too 🐚😁 Oh no Pam, I'm sorry that it's been too hot 🔥 but hopefully you'll be able to get out there more with the season changing to autumn. G'day Jan! "Oh my good golly goodness!" is my new catch-phrase perhaps?? The Red-lined Paper Bubble is so cool... it's supposedly more common in the colder waters of New South Wales; those lucky ducks get some nice shells too (but Qld shells are nicer still, I think)!! The wentletraps have been amazing lately, but I went to the beach again a few days ago, and I think they've finally been washed away; maybe I should have tried to collect more! Ahhh no matter. Yessss in October, definitely send a message via Facebook or Instagram: I have a bit of a problem where comment replies here on UA-cam will quickly get buried and forgotten (oops, sorry Jan) but I'm looking forward to hearing from you. G'day Roberta Hehehe the Wentletraps just washed in em masse this time... I really do think they they got caught up in the sea weed stuff? I think they eat it, or at least, they eat sea anemones, so it's sorta similar. Oh wow, so the home back is the favourite for you?? Well, I do have another adventure there for next time, but them I'm going up the coast soon to see about Hervey Bay 😂 it's suddenly school holidays again, so the home beach will be packed and picked over for a while... hopefully they leave some shells for me next week, but I recon those kiddos are going to have a fantastic time and find their own shelly treasures. Stanning blowing captivating marvels 😍 and more miracolous as we discover how lonely we are in the infinity of the universe 🌏 au rare is life,to us , au precious❤ That's why I appreciate so much the discovery of each yard you step and us with you, every single beauty you carefully show us, and every time flashes in my mind, how many millions years of natural 🧬 evolution have been necessary to forge such perfection 😍 So we will never greet you enough, your dedition , your passion are just so great ❤ as we cannot have the opportunity to travel and spend such a beautiful moments. We are so close to the Latin taxonomy here in Europe and we don't have common names for the shells, maybe except for the Mediterranean ones 😂😂😂 but , yes,I have seen very beautiful cowries: yellow toothed, graceful, small toothed,stolid, spotted deer, donkey, carnelian, cat cowries. Then you got some special mentions, like : zebra volute, double banded moon snail, red lined bubble, bird Cardita, very spectacular speckled sea hare, blood stained cone, dwarf violet snail jantina, blue periwinkle and so on 😂😂😂 ❤ i just love shells like you do 😊thank you again ❤❤❤ Francesco
G'day Francesco👋❤ I'm so glad that you liked the variety of mini shells... there sure are a lot of different ones at this single place! Queensland is wonderful for shells, but they say that Western Australia is even better!! I would love to visit Broome or 80 Mile Beach someday, but it is so far away... the volutes are just amazing there, and the cowries!! Is you scuber dive there, you might come across the Zoila cowries. Continuing on, my goodness Francesco, you didn't have to use the English names just for me 😂 I don't mind being a shell nerd and unleashing the Latin names!! The Latin names are better for research anyway; it's like the shell's universal names. Hmmm, also, I think you don't need common names in Europe because there are so many languages other than just English, so I think it would be confusing if all of the conchologists got together and had 10 different names for everything 😂😂😂 I'm so glad that you enjoyed the variety of cowries, but also that Amoria zebra, Bullina lineata, and ohhhh the Cardita aviculina... actually, Cardita aviculina didn't have a common name, but I call it a Bird Cardita because Google told me that that's what aviculina means?? Beautiful cowries today Maddie but i have a soft spot for the mini's. The last time I was in Florida i spent a couple hours going through a pile of mini's in a small area. My favorite is probably going to be the stolida. Thank you for the video.

Do you find a lot of mini shells? I mean to say, do you find many species that are different than the usual ones that are in most of the Florida shelling videos, or are they mini sized of the Florida crowd favourites? Mini fighting conches, horse conches, etc, or are they different and more unusual ones? Actually, I do rather like the mini/baby conches you guys get over there! Ok, I've been thinking this for days because it's taken me that long to reply... the donkey is a donkey emoji, the zebra is a zebra emoji... so why is the bird on FIRE? 😂😂😂 Ahhhh, you crack me up! As for your question, it's a good question, but maybe it doesn't have a good answer? For Beans, I usually bottle them up and sometimes give them away to friends. Same with pheasant shells. Sometimes I put random minis in bottles and give them to friends or family as well. For mini cowires, they might have a place in my cabinet, same with the wenteltraps; I bottle them and put them in the cabinet. For most of the other minis, I have a biiiig 1 liter jar that's about half full of them 😂 maybe I will fill it one day?? Oh, but the really precious minis (the ones I like a lot) will go into a mini craft display case. I think I haven't showed it in a very long time... wow, it's not even on my Instagram, I think I only put it on a very, very early Facebook post. I will have to show it again sometime, and I'll let you know when I do ;) Thanks for letting me ramble on, and thanks for watching!

G'day Roberta Hehehe the Wentletraps just washed in em masse this time... I really do think they they got caught up in the sea weed stuff? I think they eat it, or at least, they eat sea anemones, so it's sorta similar. Oh wow, so the home back is the favourite for you?? Well, I do have another adventure there for next time, but them I'm going up the coast soon to see about Hervey Bay 😂 it's suddenly school holidays again, so the home beach will be packed and picked over for a while... hopefully they leave some shells for me next week, but I recon those kiddos are going to have a fantastic time and find their own shelly treasures. We are so close to the Latin taxonomy here in Europe and we don't have common names for the shells, maybe except for the Mediterranean ones 😂😂😂 but , yes,I have seen very beautiful cowries: yellow toothed, graceful, small toothed,stolid, spotted deer, donkey, carnelian, cat cowries. Then you got some special mentions, like : zebra volute, double banded moon snail, red lined bubble, bird Cardita, very spectacular speckled sea hare, blood stained cone, dwarf violet snail jantina, blue periwinkle and so on 😂😂😂 ❤ i just love shells like you do 😊thank you again ❤❤❤ Francesco
G'day Francesco👋❤ I'm so glad that you liked the variety of mini shells... there sure are a lot of different ones at this single place! Queensland is wonderful for shells, but they say that Western Australia is even better!! I would love to visit Broome or 80 Mile Beach someday, but it is so far away... the volutes are just amazing there, and the cowries!! Is you scuber dive there, you might come across the Zoila cowries.
Continuing on, my goodness Francesco, you didn't have to use the English names just for me 😂 I don't mind being a shell nerd and unleashing the Latin names!! The Latin names are better for research anyway; it's like the shell's universal names. Hmmm, also, I think you don't need common names in Europe because there are so many languages other than just English, so I think it would be confusing if all of the conchologists got together and had 10 different names for everything 😂😂😂
I'm so glad that you enjoyed the variety of cowries, but also that Amoria zebra, Bullina lineata, and ohhhh the Cardita aviculina... actually, Cardita aviculina didn't have a common name, but I call it a Bird Cardita because Google told me that that's what aviculina means?? Beautiful cowries today Maddie but i have a soft spot for the mini's. The last time I was in Florida i spent a couple hours going through a pile of mini's in a small area. My favorite is probably going to be the stolida. Thank you for the video.

Do you find a lot of mini shells? I mean to say, do you find many species that are different than the usual ones that are in most of the Florida shelling videos, or are they mini sized of the Florida crowd favourites? Mini fighting conches, horse conches, etc, or are they different and more unusual ones? Actually, I do rather like the mini/baby conches you guys get over there! G'day Mary Ann!! Ok, I've been thinking this for days because it's taken me that long to reply... the donkey is a donkey emoji, the zebra is a zebra emoji... so why is the bird on FIRE? 😂😂😂 Ahhhh, you crack me up!
As for your question, it's a good question, but maybe it doesn't have a good answer? For Beans, I usually bottle them up and sometimes give them away to friends. Same with pheasant shells. Sometimes I put random minis in bottles and give them to friends or family as well. For mini cowires, they might have a place in my cabinet, same with the wenteltraps; I bottle them and put them in the cabinet. For most of the other minis, I have a biiiig 1 liter jar that's about half full of them 😂 maybe I will fill it one day?? Oh, but the really precious minis (the ones I like a lot) will go into a mini craft display case. I think I haven't showed it in a very long time... wow, it's not even on my Instagram, I think I only put it on a very, very early Facebook post. I will have to show it again sometime, and I'll let you know when I do ;) Thanks for letting me ramble on, and thanks for watching!

I loved the zebra volute!!! I went on Sunday to the beach and it also was a micro seashell kind of day. I can stay hours and hours looking for tiny ones
