      G'day Ravi 👋🏻🏖️ The shells and fossils that you find are INCREDIBLE! Thank you so much for parting with these treasures; I know I've said this before, but I'm thrilled beyond words. I really loved the information that you wrote for me too (even if my brain didn't quite read them right while looking through my phone screen) It's wonderful to have all of this data to go along with the shells. Phillip Island and the Mornington area are definitely on my list of future travel destinations!! Once again, thank you so much for this shell trade, this was an absolutely lovely experience 🥰

      G'day Margi 👋🏻🐚 I absolutely loved Ravi's notes too; I know it must have taken time to write all of those and share his knowledge with me, and I truly appreciate it 😁 When I sent him my half of the trade, I also tried to include as many notes as possible, but I know remember if they were as educational 🤔 I think I mostly mentioned when/when I found a shell, or how common/rare it was to the area...I like Ravi's notes more, I think 😂 My goodness Margi, thank you so much for watching such a big unboxing, I'm so glad that you enjoyed it 🥰

      G'day Brenda 👋🏻🐚❤️ I love the shells, but I also like to nerd out about the shell species too 🤣 Ravi also enjoys these two things, so reading his notes and being educated about his shells was a really, really lovely experience. He absolutely blew me away with the care and attention he put into this package; how could I not appreciate that ☺️ Thank you so, so much for watching this extra long unboxing today, Brenda 🥰

    Well hello Maddie! Big shout out to Ravi!!! awesome shells! I love it when you do the unboxing videos. Absolutely cool and beautiful shells. I've got to with the pheasant shells so gorgeous and then the fossils. Of course they are all very beautiful and special. Sea urchin are so interesting and pretty. Thank you for sharing of course. G'day Roberta 👋🏻💖 Thank you for the shout out to Ravi (I think your auto-correct came out this time!!) he really sent some amazing shells 🤩 The Pheasant Shells really took me by surprise; he had told me to expect some, but they really are more lovely in real life than the pictures show on the Internet. The fossils are just amazing; Ravi kept them a surprise - he mentioned maybe sending some kind of fossil, but this really went above and beyond 😲 I'm thrilled with these beauties!! Not going to lie, those sea urchins literally made me run out to try and find my own a few days after putting this final video together 🤣 shelling inspiration at its finest!! Thank you so much for watching the big unboxing too, Roberta 🥰

    Thanks so much to Ravi for the gorgeous shells and to Maddie for sharing them. Living in landlocked Austria, I am so jealous that you can search for shells so frequently. I'm planning to visit a few of Maddie's regular beaches later this year, and now I want to add the Flinders area to my list while we are visiting our son in Melbourne. Your videos are a delight to watch; your enthusiasm is infectious.

      G'day Jan 👋🏻🏖️ Aw gosh, thank you for giving Ravi that shout out 🤩 I know he appreciates it, and appreciates seeing his collections enjoyed by others! Ahhh Jan, I think it's time for you to move to the coast 🏖️ somewhere on the Mediterranean?? I know, I know, you can't really justify uprooting your life for some seashells 😉 I'm being a bit cheeky. Oh wow, yes, I hope you have a really lovely time visiting your son!! Philip Island is on my bucket list for the area, as well as Fossil Beach (you need a licence, and it's a bit muddy and tricky to walk into, ot so I've heard) but yes, I think you will have some lovely adventures! I'm not sure which beaches around the Flinders areas exactly, so you might need to travel around and visit a few. And of course, Queensland is quite far away from Victoria, but I hope you have a wonderful time when you do come over. If you have any questions about it, please send me a message on Facebook if you want some local knowledge to make your trip smoother. Sorry, I went on a bit of a tangent there 😂 Thank you so much for watching this massive unboxing today, I'm so glad that you enjoyed seeing the shells from different parts of Australia 🥰

I think he was pretty pleased?? Thank you so much for watching 🥰

      G'day Melissa 👋🏻💖 Hehe, it was a lot like Christmas!! I was really spoiled by Ravi; he tried to send one of every species I didn't have, with the exception of a few rare one-offs, of course! The Abalones are crazy cool, and that cones; I can't believe they are one of his most common shells!! Hehe, the urchins were incredible cool; he inspired yesterday me to go to the one beach that has sea urchins washed ashore, so look forward to that video tomorrow 😂 Thanks for watching 🥰

Hmmm, the zigzaggy shells, so you mean the green Lightning Turbans, or maybe the Painted Lady Pheasant Shells?? Honestly, they're all so amazing 😍 and those limpets, my goodness, they're not quite like the ones I find here!! I'll have to visit his beaches someday 🤔 it's quite far, though! Anyhoo! How exciting you have someone in a different part of Australia to exchange shells with!!! I had to stop to go to F
    Galveston beach to spread a friend’s ashes. You aren’t supposed to do that, but Lori so loved the beach and shells. 🐚🐚🐚 Anyway, he sent you some amazing shells!!! I loved the limpets. 🗻🗻🗻 The large pheasant shells were beautiful as well as the kelp shells! ❤ I think my favorites were the wedding cake Venus clams, the abalones and the sea urchins. Well done Robby! Great unboxing Maddie! 🥰🥰🥰

      G'day Pam 👋🏻💖 It's crazy to think that Australia has so many different types of shells (and fossils) around it's long coastlines! It was wonderful to try another shell trade again; I sent a bunch back to him too, so while I have expanded my fossil collection, I'd like to think that's I've expanded his cowrie and moon snail collection, too!! Those Limpets and Wedding Cake Venuses are so lovely; so similar yet different to what I find here. My goodness Pam, I am only just now getting back to you, and I'm so sorry to hear about your friend Lori 😔 I would have done the same; I don't know why you're not supposed to scatter ashes as the beach (that makes no sense to me) but things like this are important and you made the right choice. My condolences to you and your friend's family 🙏🏻❤️

      G'day Trudy 👋🏻💖 I'm so, so pleased that you enjoyed watching this big unboxing ❤️ I barely got it done in time after working on the final edit for several days 😅 Long hours, phew, but it was worth it! The Wedding Cake Venuses are magical, and the Lightning Turbans are amazing for such a common shell! Oh yes, I have a Wavy Volute from you in my cabinet; I think ours both came from Australia's southern waters, just like these ones from Ravi! The Bubble shell is amazing...I find the same species here...but they can't grow that big 🤣 they're just little guys!! The Pheasant Shells here are so small compared to the Painted Ladies, but mine are a different species that are supposed to be small...I think I prefer the big ones 😂 too beautiful! Thank you so much for watching this huge unboxing 🥰 I've had a couple of very big day, but thinking of you, always.

    Cool video, Maddie😊👍! Finally the holidays are coming to an end and I was able to calmly sit down and watch this video. I saw his poster when I was visiting another city for Easter, I was surprised and thought that you went to visit Victoria and until today I was confident that you were still there🤭, but it turned out that it was a video about a parcel from Victoria😁 Very good package! Very interesting specimens, I have seen a lot of fossilized sea urchins from different countries, but I have never seen anything like this. I myself have cleaned fossilized sea urchins from the matrix, although sometimes they look more impressive on it. I think I deleted my videos about sea urchins here. There are many interesting specimens of fossilized shells, an interesting fossilized cowrie and an elongated shiny shell that looks like a cowrie.
    17:51 But this twisted thing is a fossilized internal cast of the shell, the shell itself has dissolved over millions of years, and the substrate that filled its internal space has petrified and repeats the internal structure of the shell

      G'day Mikhail!! I forgot to say HAPPY EASTER! I hope that you had a wonderful time with your family, and that you also had a nice break from work! Did you do anything special? Ahhh, this is indeed a package; I swapped shells with this man in Victoria. I would like to go shelling there one day, but I will need to save my money first! Victoria is a long way from Queensland, but I will do it one day. I really like the fossilized sea urchins; I will keep the matrix on the largest one, I think it looks interesting 🤔 and YES the fossilised cowries are quite amazing!! The elongated shiny one is a Cowrie: I removed the mud/clay from the opening to reveal beautiful and elegant little cowrie teeth. It's one of my prized shells now. The fossil shells from Victoria are captivating; I don't think there are many places where you can see similar shells like this? I will go to Victoria some day to mostly look for fossils 😲 I wish I could find fossils in Queensland. Once again, I hope you had a wonderful break with your family and friends 😁 did you get some good chocolates?? Thanks for watching 🥰

      @@SandCoffeeRocks Thank you very much, Maddie😊! Yes, I specifically looked at Victoria is located far from you🙂 It I think you will definitely visit there. I keep wanting to look up this fossilized cowrie in the paleontological literature, but I had it on my laptop, which was broken, I need to either extract information from it or look for the same literature on the Internet, it’s interesting to see if similar cowries have been found somewhere. And about Easter, today I went to visit again, this time I didn’t congratulate my nephews, I bought chocolate bunnies🐰🐰🐰, candies🍫🍬🍫, a lot of large chocolate Kinder Surprise eggs for my nephews😊😊😊

      @SandCoffeeRocks  Місяць тому +1

      G'day Francesco 👋🏻🐚 Oh wow, all the way in Italy! But you have Lusitanian shells, so maybe you spend time in Portugal too? My best suggestion is to maybe reach out to trustworthy shellers on Instagram to see if they want to do a shell trade with you. Otherwise, I can recommend some reputable Australian sellers to you? Some of their shells might be the same as what you've seen here, but a lot will be from other parts of Australia or the Indo-Pacific region. Let me know if you want the shell sellers information. Not sure who would be best to contact on Instagram or Facebook though. Thanks for watching 🥰

      Whoa, really!? I had no idea that there's two species of extra large (compared to here) Pheasant Shells down in Victoria! I do see what you're saying about the round/solid shell VS the thin/fragile Pheasant Shells... but I'm not sure if I'd be able to tell them apart without comparing them against each other like this!
