Derrick is not McKenna’s father, but he did meet Amy while she was pregnant and was with her when she gave birth and did the adoption. There is a picture of Amy, Derrick and McKenna before the adoption that they show in the documentary.

I can’t believe they weren’t discovered by some big recording company. And their love story needs to be on the screen for all to see their gift and their beautiful love story. The sacrifices they made for each other is truly amazing. He was so supportive giving her what she needed to keep on keeping on. I have no doubt their natural born daughter will do big things with those genes she has inherited and being the product of the nourishing environment in which she was raised. 12:08 She gets the best from both worlds. The KXCI live is , for me, one of the BEST live shows ever!! Hollywood Alley in Mesa, 2005ish, Where the Wild Things Are, that was my turning point!!!! They NEED to live forever!
