They were genius together. Her voice is amazing and so natural. I think she could have sung anything. Obviously, they didn’t know the gift they had. I can’t believe they weren’t discovered by some big recording company. And their love story needs to be on the screen for all to see their gift and their beautiful love story. The sacrifices they made for each other is truly amazing. He was so supportive giving her what she needed to keep on keeping on. I have no doubt their natural born daughter will do big things with those genes she has inherited and being the product of the nourishing environment in which she was raised. 12:08 She gets the best from both worlds. She’s innately talented and has the music background to present it all in a genius composition and rendition of music never heard before.

She reminds me so much of my late wife also a free spirit who had a beautiful heart. I love their music and I'm so sorry for the family's loss.
Derrick is not McKenna’s father, but he did meet Amy while she was pregnant and was with her when she gave birth and did the adoption. There is a picture of Amy, Derrick and McKenna before the adoption that they show in the documentary.

I can't say in words how much these two and the beyond beautiful music they made have affected my life and the way I approach my music.. it's ok to be afraid, and it's way cooler to embrace it and attack it with wolves teeth.. A silly little metaphorical fart, but I really can not.. :') I got alot deeper into myself over the past 4 years diving into these songs and it's a motherfucker that I can't tell em about it, but it's fine. Thank you for sharing this! What a fantastic vibration they put into the world.. blows my mind more than most things.

I believe they truly touched everyone they met. I just knew them periferely, yet was heart broken when they were gone. I loved to go to the Royale and listen to Amy play requests on Wednesday nights. Such a beautiful soul! You could always see Derrick's devotion to her. Love always and forever.
The KXCI live is , for me, one of the BEST live shows ever!! Hollywood Alley in Mesa, 2005ish, Where the Wild Things Are, that was my turning point!!!! They NEED to live forever!
