Do you have to shoot in slog 2 or 3 for the LUT to work. Basically I bought my first camera crop sensor, but have no clue why ppl shoot in slog. Do you have darker cinematic Luts....like a person struggling in a gym lower light and showing that emotion cinematicly.
@@derekroberts5931 For color grading, you should always shoot in log, if possible 10 bit is way better than 8 bit. I do have a lut like that. You can find it on my etsy page.

I have a tutorial on my channel that shows how I use Dehancer in Davinci Resolve to get this kind of look. You can check that out!
For some reason my slog3 never looks as cloudy/bland as yours and everyone else’s. I can’t figure it out smh
There is 2 options when choosing Log. S-Gamut3 and S-Gamut3.Cine. Make sure to choose the S-Gamut3 for the flattest profile. Also, you might be slightly underexposing your footage. Make sure to overexpose a bit for a cleaner shadows.

@@yockstarstudios1007 If you want to make less color grade that works great. It's basically closer to Rec709 so you don't have to make a lot of color grade adjustments to make it look like rec709
Please mention proper detailsettings of slog- 3 please
There is no other settings for log footage. Settings like ISO, Shutter Speed and Aperture is depends on your specific scene.

I converted to cineon color space and applied the Kodak 2383 Film Print Emulation, then color graded it.

but would it be any different if done in different manner? like luts, grade and then cineon last?
@@balugabalugaan4822 If you want to use the Kodak 2383 Film Emulation lut, it expects a cineon color space footage. So you should convert your footage before that. In Davinci Resolve my workflow is this;
Color Space Transform Slog3 to Davinci Wide Gamut > Color Correction and Grading > Color Space Transform DWG to Cineon > Kodak 2383 Film Emulation Lut.
For a cleaner look, you should always make adjustments before your lut.

I use Davinci Resolve for editing and color grading on desktop. Never used mobile, I'm not sure.

I use cine EI it was the low base iso of 800 ISO

I prefer Slog3
Slog3 gives more dynamic range in 10bit

@@Navabichannel 8bit gives you 256 possible shades of red green and blue, resulting in round about 16 million different colors, 10bit on the other hand already allows for 1024 shades of red green and blue, resulting in over 1 billion different colors.

You can get footage by getting your camera and getting out there and shooting with it. If you're looking for stock raw footage, try Google. Been hearing that's the place for everything these days

It is normal. FX30 only records RAW video when it is connected to a supported external recorder such as Atomos Ninja V etc.

Thank you! I never used Capcut but I don't think you can color grade this much on there. I recommend Davinci Resolve for color grading.

No, that's called a Log profile. Professional cameras shoot in Log to have more information to color grade it later.

Sir one question is fx30 video quality is same as a670p or better?
I didn't use the Sony a6700 but, FX30's 4K video is actually 6K downsampled. Meaning, it will give sharper results when compared to the regular 4K
Is it hard to color grade?
Once you learn the basics of color grading it's pretty easy. I recommend Waqas Qazi's tutorials on UA-cam.
