I was shocked as well!! I can't even say how many hours of youtube tutorials I've watched in the past few years and this guy comes here with only ONE video saying it all
I gotta give you props brother. I thought I wasn’t going to like this video because there wasn’t any node trees, but you made me see that I’d been working harder not smarter.
This is the first video that actually helped me understand color grading. I feel so much more confident moving forward in creating better looking films! Thank you!!!!
Definitely one of the more competent tutorials on UA-cam, really good information and no-BS solutions. Good idea to show the corresponding parameters in Premiere and Resolve back to back as well!
This video is full of excellent information. Everything discussed in this video is very clear and very well explained for easy and better understanding. Thanks for taking your time to share such an amazing video with us
Found this video in my spam folder of gmail. What a gem man. I feel like I’ve watched 100s of color grading videos online and this might just be the best one
Very good tutorial! I Would love a follow-up to how you handle footage taken with consumer grade action cameras, such as GoPro and Mavic drones. The qualifiers on 8-bit footage do not behave as nicely as what you posted, or I may be just pushing too hard, and expecting too much from that type of cameras?
I've been doing photo editing for quite a while now and I must say that I at least already do 4 out of these 7 steps. Still, it's really nice to know that some things apply to video editing as well. Great video!
Good video for basic color grading, however, you can do all the color grading you want but the most important thing to "cinematic look" is in set lighting.
is there a video talking about the luma vs. sat curve? that step is a big one i feel, and i want to understand it more. it seems that's the difference maker after you apply a color grade in the shadows
Man this was such a good video. I've always loved film with an emphasis on editing. Having you break down color grading to a more digestible presentation has inspired me to go back and try these techniques on older projects. Kudos and thank you! 😄
I'm following all the directions for Halation, but once I press change the Opacity blend mode to "Screen", nothing happens. The image still is black with red blurry dots everywhere. I've tried multiple times. How do I fix this?
This is just amazing! you managed to combine tons of coloring videos on UA-cam, into single less than 10 mins. video and maintained to keep it rich and full with details
This video was amazing and very helpful information. I really like this video. I am waiting for your next video. Thank you for sharing this video. Thank you for sharing this video.
This video r really awesome well explained keep it up, i enjoyed this video, very effective and efficient, everything discussed in this video very clear and well maintained
I love this video. However you did actually rush through some of the parts, I guess the video was more intended for pros. I am just learning and the teal look ( popping characters) I sadly missed almost completely. Do you have a video in which you explain that part more clearly? Thanks for the content though!
Hi Color Grading Channel, I hope this will be available on iPad Pro too, it will be easy for us like content creator to use on the go app like this, good job on creating the software.
Your video content was very good...Everything discussed in this video is very clear and very well explained for easy and better understanding. Thanks for sharing this amazing vidio..
Great tutorial video and very helpful information it's really very informative and useful video... nice content...thank you for sharing this video with us.
after changing blend mode to screen ,the video doesnt change or do anything. just stay black and dark from the extract/tint effects for the helation effect
Can I admit - this is the most useful, real practical advice for film color grading I found on UA-cam.
I was shocked as well!! I can't even say how many hours of youtube tutorials I've watched in the past few years and this guy comes here with only ONE video saying it all
And no super complicated node trees like some other UA-cam Colorists teach, just some curves and qualifiers, very straight to the Point.
Thank you kindly smepable Media! I agree less is more. No sense in juggling and pushing pixels back and forth.
Industry knowledge and experience is one thing, but being able to teach so professionally in front of a camera is another. Great work!
The fact all of this is free and delivered in 10 minutes is insane. Thank you!
The amount of genuinely helpful, free information in this video is astounding.
I gotta give you props brother. I thought I wasn’t going to like this video because there wasn’t any node trees, but you made me see that I’d been working harder not smarter.
Great work... rich enough to learn, clear enough to understand. Bravo !
Thank you kindly Gilles 🙏🏼
That was amazing! One of the best Color Grading "why you do what you do" tuts in UA-cam
Thank you kindly again!
Just love the way this lesson is not just focused on one software
Amazing video packed with an incredible amount of info. Not only did you explain what to do, but you explained HOW to do it and WHY it matters. Bravo!
Hear hear! 🍻
This is the first video that actually helped me understand color grading. I feel so much more confident moving forward in creating better looking films! Thank you!!!!
Thank you so much for putting Final Cut Pro and Adobe premiere pro in this! I use the former the most but the latter for school. Thanks!
The fact that you put the settings for different softwares 👌 thank you!!!
Definitely one of the more competent tutorials on UA-cam, really good information and no-BS solutions. Good idea to show the corresponding parameters in Premiere and Resolve back to back as well!

Amazing, would love to see a video on how to dial a lut down when its too overpowering or an area thats too over saturated
Just reduce it in the inspector window in what ever editing program you are using?
@@GreigBooth I use Da Vinci
@@rossscobievideographer53 you do it in the keying menu under 'output gain' control.
I learned a lot by this, seems like I should try out balancing highlight and shadows more.
Fantastic video Denver! Love your work.

Hi Color Grading Channel, I hope this will be available on iPad Pro too, it will be easy for us like content creator to use on the go app like this, good job on creating the software.
