I'm going to be extensively testing the FX30 out on all my freelance work / YT videos in the next month or two before I release my full review. Let me know what you want to see in that review :) Have a great weekend! 🙌
Do a vlogging with it using a wide lens. Might buy this camera in the future.
On the list! 🙌🏽
underwater work
Hi Victor, thanks for the video! im super interested in getting it for my own freelance work. I would love to know more about its low light capability, like how does it do at 3200 iso or 6400? on S-log or even Cine 2
@@JackRea sounds great! I will add it on the list. To answer your question now, at 3200 ISO and 6400 on SLOG3 is kinda noisy. More noticeable than usual. In a pinch it might work but overall I'd stick with 800 & 2500. I still have to test Cine, HLG, and S cintone with this thing :)
I think you've single handedly dispelled everyones fears about low light. Nicely done
I'd even argue that from a PRACTICAL aspect (got to consider real world aspects) then the FX30 is **better** than the FX3 at low light.
@@davidconsumerofmath why do u think that ? The sensor size is still doing a lot on high iso.
@@ElieBenzekri It's mostly because the 2nd base ISO of the FX3/A7Siii is 12800 and that is too high on real world run and gun lighting. I almost never use it on my FX3 unless I'm really in a pinch or shooting a super low light event that it needs to see in the dark.
repent TODAY, forsake your sinful way of life, and believe in the Gospel.
salvation is found only in the LORD JESUS CHRIST alone, Who took upon the sin of the world on that cross, bearing the pain and punishment we deserve(d), that our sins may be atoned for, and He is risen [in glory] for our justification, that we may be made right with GOD, that we may know Him, be adopted by Him and reconciled to Him -- forgiven, set free from the curse of sin and death, and made as new creatures in CHRIST alone.
@@inactiveuser555 I don't believe in god 🤷
This feels like half a movie, loving the concept you went with.
trying to keep it chill in these little videos!
The editing. The vibes. The music. Am I watching a vlog or a kdrama!? Beautifully shot!👏
Thank you! Keeping it chill!
Look how you're not even trying to catch perfect shot yet everything seems so perfect. The aesthetic vibe and the calmness of these random shots telling stories which most fails to show. Nice work
Thank you so much! This has got the be one of the best feedback I’ve gotten.
This video shows that the only thing that matters is good composition, good edit-pacing, good color correction and a great ass lens. Props to you my man, great video. No light can stop you.
Thank you, bro! I appreciate this a lot.
I cried, why? Because the thought of life is so beautiful-it’s experiences and emotions it brings are breathtaking. Cinematic videos like this never fail to make me cry, although some don’t like sadness or being mad I like to appreciate that I was able to feel such strong emotions. This video is beautiful.
I love cinematography and how it can capture the memory perfectly.
thank you! I feel the same way when I edit these videos. Trying to capture little moments in life that make memories way better.
@@VictorLaforteza I agree
I keep coming back to watch this just for the way the content was made. Absolutely pleasant and warm. The background score just ties it all up beatifully on top!
Wow, thank you!
The colors & grading look spectacular here.
Picture looks so clean and looks filmic. Bravo!
Thank you, Tomas! I appreciate that!
its look bad actually. look too greenish
It just proves that if you know what you are doing, every camera is good. Nice footage. Thank you for sharing !
Very nice travel video, good vibes! Kept me hooked till the end. And this real world test gave me an idea of what to expect from my future FX30.
this was very beautifully shot, so pleasing to watch. great job!
I love this. Music, compositions, LUT, pace. It's a masterpiece.
Just trying to keep it chill 😬😬 thank you for the kind words 🙏🏽
Your videos have suchhh a warm feeling to them; this one had such good pacing, great shots, and an amazing music score choice in my opinion. Looking forward to the next upload!
Thank you dude! Trying to keep it chill lol
yeah a great break from the heavy slow mo b rolls everyone and their mom puts in videos nowadays
Beside the chill music, nothing in this video is "warm": color and tone are cold. And Korea's atmosphere is anything but warm either.
@@jangdi. it’s just a silly UA-cam video made to show test footage and I use it to practice grading. Always love to see how others interpret it as everyone is different!
@@VictorLaforteza oh you done it beautifully. I just want to tell David above about the "warm" thing.
I hope I can see more of your videos in the future
Nice job, probably the best test footage on the FX30 I have seen so far.
Thank you, that is a big compliment amongst the other fantastic creators out there!
The music, the cinematography, the vibe *chefs kiss* 🤌🤌
i have seen this video maybe five times already and i keep coming back to it. something about your storytelling is so nostalgic and beautiful, i'm a video camera nerd but i'm not even close to ordering an fx30. still i can come back to this video. thank you victor.
wow! happy to hear you've been repeating this one! glad you enjoy the nostalgic vibes🙌
Goodness Victory you're always such an inspiration with your approach to visual storytelling !
Thanks, Rondell! Trying to keep it chill! lol
fascinating.. so simple, yet amazing.. it's awesome what this camera can make with almost no edit! love the colors
Simplicity at its finest! Thank you dude!
WOW! Relaxing and beautifully shot/edited. These are the vlogs that truly inspire me to create! 🙏🏽
Thank you! Glad these little vids spark some inspiration 🙌🏽
This had such a feel-good vibe. Loved it
It's been awhile since the release of the FX30, and a lot of content creator had the opportunity to grab it. I've been looking around to find someone who will give or show the capability of the camera and it felt like they don't give justice to what it can really do. Victor on the other hand, gave us a wonderful output to show that this is a magnificent gear. The fact that this is a low light test blew me away. The coloring, the sharpness of the clips, exposure and more. Great editing as well. Awesome work brother.
I always try to put out something different because there’s so many people doing the same thing! Hence why I’m still working on my full review of this thing 😂 thank you for the kind words. Happy you enjoyed this little video! 🙌🏽
This is god damn incredible. This makes me regret not buying a camera and shooting my previous travels so much. Never imagined somthing like this
It’s the little moments in between that’s worth shooting! There’s more stuff we did but always experience it first before shooting
absolutely beautiful short video man, props to you!
Love the travel vlog! Honestly it's really good to test out gear this way since you're allowed to fumble with the gear when you are not in front of a client.
Life’s been rough for me lately and my favorite pastime is watching camera tech videos and I just gotta say, the vibes in your videos really made me feel better. Thanks for making such great stuff dude! Can’t wait for more awesome stuff to come!
Glad to hear my little videos help you feel better. Whatever you are going through, you got this! 💪🏽
No worries man, life's only gonna get worst.
Hope you stopped acting like a b1tch and got through it 😊
There are some really beautiful shots and great compositions, I loved the vibes!
Thank you so much!
This was such a beautiful video, glad I stumbled upon it, really well done Victor
Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked it :)
FX30 is definetly going to be my pick and starting to save right away for it awesome video as always😎
It's a beast!!!
Color grading was nicely done on this video.
This song and the visuals are so dang beautiful!
This video made me miss Korea so much! You filmed and edited it in such a nice and personal yet nostalgic way. Love it so much!!
Glad you loved it dude! It was just a long layover and I wanna go back so bad!!
fx30 looks great! To get such good image quality and colors for under $2000 is insane. Also, Korea looks so fun makes me wanna go back.
Right! Definitely punches above its weight! Korea is fuuuun. No more quarantine / PCR tests required. Easy to get in now!
Seoul never looked so green and cinematic 😂 but seriously, it’s nice to see how it can turn out with the FX30
Low light performance in cinematic mode works wow this is astonishing
BEAUTIFUL WORK. Real-world lighting and no pointless, artsy slo-mo. I have the BM 6K Pro but hate the form factor. Seriously considering the FX30. Thanks Victor.
Thank you!!!! I really wanted to love the BM 6k but ya the form factor is weird. Fx30 is fun and ergonomic at least on my hands. It’s a great little beast even compared with the fx3!
I don't comment much but this was so relaxing and beautifully put together, incredible video!
Thank you very much!
The quality is incredible and the editing immaculate
Thank you so much!
@@VictorLaforteza Absolutely ! c:
Wow you just convinced me to get this! Also the music choice was soooo good
That looked clean! Awesome grade and great exposing!
Thank you so much for making and posting this video! After all the hype about the FX30 I’ve seen the tide turn with negative reviews. As about 50% of my projects are “run and gun” wedding films work, I love that you made this lowlight example with the FX30. I preordered mine about a month ago (still waiting cause it’s on back order 😔) and I began to second guess my purchase with the negative reviews coming out. Many ceremony and reception locations don’t offer good lighting and the FX3 always comes through for me. I normally rent a second one for my second shooter but have wanted to get a second camera so I wouldn’t have to any longer. When they announced the FX30 I was stoked to purchase something that could give me the same look but not break the bank. Anyway, I appreciate you putting the time into this, it gives me hope on my purchase. Keep bringing great content. Subscribed!
Thank you, Andrew! I’m glad it helped you in some way. If you have any questions or requests for testing the fx30, let me know! I’ll try to accommodate as best as I could 🙌🏽 cheers man
@@VictorLaforteza awesome! Thanks brother!
FX30 is a fantastic choice for your second shooter!
Active Stabilization looks great on this camera, I also noticed no rolling shutter with the car shots! 20mm FF lens looks good on this camera too. lots of wins for this camera, not to mention APSC lenses are almost half the cost of FF or less!
Definitely a good improvement from the A7IV rolling shutter! that one was still kinda bad for moving stuff lol. Better lens selections as well... diving into anamorphics... maybe....
its 30mm equivalent apsc
@@VictorLaforteza yea... im excited.... I love the direction that sony is heading, this opens up the door even more for anamorphic production on a budget. I.E. I will quicker shoot a short movie on an APSC anamorphic than A FF due to cost of acquiring lenses etc. the only thing is tho, sony is indeed ....taking my money, in a very smart way, I don't need this camera, but I will save tremendously if I buy it to shoot anamorphic, not to mention all the 3rd party manufacturers that are going to jump onboard to manufacture lenses that take advantage of this (already a good selection exists). win win win all around
man. that was excellent framing throughout the whole video I cant wait to see what you do next!
Thank you! I appreciate that a lot 🙏🏽
incredibly cinematic, beautiful
The image quality is beautiful. Looks like the FX3 footage but sharper. Love your shot selection as well man, another great vid!
Thank you Sam! I definitely find it sharper as well. Might have to slap on a mist filter instead of applying it in post.
If not the settings, it appearing sharper is probably because of the fact that the FX30 is oversampling from 6K.
.....probably not sharper than FX3 generally. Full frame also different feel.
@@viclimited9081 it is sharper than the fx3. I own both lol
@@VictorLaforteza ...........so do I.........
Not fair! You could color grade a video filmed on potato and make it look cinematic 🤣🤣🤣
Trying to get myself a Canon T2i (my first camera) to see if that statement is true!! 😂
Great video and vibes Victor! The quality looks awesome.
thank you! I appreciate that a lot!
I love this man, thank you.
Just got one and it's charging now, you got me HYYYYYPED!!! Man what a beautiful video - beautiful song, adventure and faces
Excited for you and your new FX30!!! Take her out on a spin!!!
The song, the subtle j cuts and the rhythm of the video… I love it, thank you
Thank you!! I try to keep it chill 😬 some people think it’s bad though can’t please everyone!
@@VictorLaforteza keep your own style.
What's the song?
This is really good. Amazing shots. I've been looking for a low-light camera and this might be it!
Thank you! The key to it is really learning how to expose with SLOG3 and using a fast lens!
That song is absolutely beautiful. The footage is great too.
Thank you Spartus! I'm impressed with the FX30 so far!
Damn film lut + bloom filter + Piano = Perfection
I love this so much kuya Victor, sobrang chill panoorin😩
This felt like a snippet of a beautiful movie ♥♥
Super cinematic . love the Sony FX30! Nice color. Great job.😍
thank you!! The fx30 really is a tiny beast!
incredbile visuals! really enjoyed the footage, looked awesome
Thank you! Appreciate that a lot
swett video, congrantulations man! 💗
Super high quality vid dude ! As someone who is always in Seoul (currently in incheon) this was great and a new perspective to watch !
Haha thanks! My first time there so it was the perfect opportunity. What are some good spots for filming in Seoul?!
very intimate and spontaneous feeling. and the song is a great fit! Excellent coloring as always. Cheers from Detroit
Thank you, Daniel! A little less polished video here and there for my first initial test haha! it's gonna go through a lot with my next few shoots coming up.
It's even more nice to see Korea on this channel. Have a nice trip to Korea
Thank you! Going back as soon as I can! Love Korea!!
Incredible video man, exactly what I was looking for.
Thank you brother! Glad you found what you’re looking for in the fx30 :)
warm, love it, thank you
Lovely vibe.. I really like the filming quality and your editing.. ♡
Thank you, Mike! Trying to keep it chill :)
Great low light footage. I especially liked the music, too.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Beautiful and amazing scenes! Great job man and also, Seoul is a great place to shot! 🔥🔥
Thank you, Jonas! It was the perfect place to shoot run and gun low light test footage 🙌🏽
That looks fantastic.
You're so talented. Love the way you colored the footages.
Thank you thank youuuu!
Stunning
Planning to go to Korea in March and this vid made me so excited... Great stuff man!
Korea is so fun! can't wait to be back!!

Excited for you and your fx30!! Enjoy it!
great video and mood man
This is beautiful bro great work love it
Thank you! Cheers!
This is brilliant ❤️
Amazing video! THANK YOU! I’m currently upgrading from my A7III to the FX30… I needed to see this
That's a really good upgrade right there especially for video!!
Such a lovely vibe
Thanks Marcos
i don't know what im watching but this is really satisfying.
What a Beautiful Video! Great Job!
Thank you Ramses!
This is incredible, came here for the light test, stayed for the memories of S. Korea, boy do I miss it.
South Korea is amazing!!! no more restrictions to go in, easier to travel now :)
The FX30 was not on my wishlist, but after seeing your video, I'm giving it a second thought - great vid.
It's a really a small tiny beast!! Amazing performance to compete with the BMPCC!
Good work!!! Appreciate you sharing your tests/feedback
Thank you! Gonna have more test results / feedback once I take it on my shoots :)
Great footage. The FX30 is the first camera that I've decided that I will most likely keep even if I get another camera. I've seen a few professional colorists tout the quality of the FX30 footage. They were able to match it with full frame footage seamlessly. Thanks for sharing.
This looks awesome
Beautifully filmed and edited 👏🏼
Thank you so much!
Finally I watch your footages of Korea ! Thank you
Korea is beautiful! can't wait to go back and get more content!!
Such a vibe 🙌🏼
Trying to keep it chill!!
I’ve been looking for someone who can test the ibis in handheld and sir thank you for showing this video! Also the low light is impressive, now I’m def sure I will save up for this cam
It’s pretty good but not the best! Can be decent depending on how you shoot though 🙌🏽 great little beast!!
Love the video! I wish I had the creative energy to film & edit like this!
You can!! It was a very chill edit :) a random walk through the city could easily work already! Thank you for tuning in 🙏🏽
How many times have you seen this? Me: "Yes". Honestly don't know how you don't have more subscribers; these videos are little movies and I'm all for it.
If I could heart this comment 100 times I would! Thank you 🙏🏽
Great video! Always love to see others' posts here in Korea
Thank you! Can’t wait to be back in Korea 😍
@@VictorLaforteza It's a beautiful place :)
Beautiful video , beautiful song
Incredible
So much fun to watch. It seems when you are having fun with your companion and camera, your video have a certain vibe. It seems more real, showing the hectic moves from viewing food item to food item, walking through crowds. It looks alive. I guess to say, it looks totally unscripted and more impromptu. Great video.
So glad to read this comment. Thank you! Definitely the way I envisioned it. Just wanted to showcase it while traveling and not focus about on specs. A normal day to day showcase!
I clicked for a camera test. I stayed for the chill vibes.
I just bought an FX30 to use alongside my F55, sometimes instead of and mostly as yet another camera to rent out to shoots. It's doing great! I love its battery life, that you can use a dummy battery or USB-C power input or the factory battery, and the compatibility. I have in my case PL and EF adapters, and now I'm all set! Paired with the basic Sony 18-105 F4 lens, it'll shoot anything! Handheld, it has OSS and IBIS, but that also gives super-smooth panning on tripods and dollies. I would have had an A7 IV, but that camera overheated so I returned it.
the fx30 is definitely a small tiny beast!!
