My young daughter has found this channel and now I have to make her rolls every Sunday so she has them for breakfast during the week (complete with Maangchi's strawberry jam). I also have to make her soy sauce eggs weekly for her ramen and lunch, lol. Quarantine has us cooking way more at home and now she has an "international" pantry stocked with foods from other countries, lol. So far we have only Korean ingredients and tomorrow she wants to tackle making kimchi 😂 I'm in love with all of the recipes so far, just delicious~ wish us luck 😍

This dish reminds me of my mom as korean. Since I live abroad, I miss the various side dishes that my mother used to cook for me when I was young. Thank you for reminding me of warm memories after a long time !

Toasting the seaweed with an electric burner also works, you just hold it close to the coils. Non stick skillet works too. I LOVE Gim!! Thank you Maangchi
You taught us how to toast seaweed before, and since then I always toast it on the stove and add it to my rice and eggs at breakfast. Now I'll have to try this with rice and eggs!
Since I'm a kid I use to eat nori/gim seaweed alone as a snack, toasting it on the direct flame as you showed. Nice to see you doing the same, and thanks for the recipe :)
