5:47 That’s me - walking around in a circle, figuring out what to do. It’s good to see I share one thing (the only thing) with the great artist Ishitani!
"Should I put it there now, or wait until I get the other pieces ready, but the heater is there and the glue will start to go off, but if I put the piece somewhere else the glue will cool down and get thick, but I need to get the other pieces glued up quickly, so I need to keep everything close together, and when I stack one on top of the other only the top one will really be warming up, but if I......okay, I will just put it there and keep moving, how many of these do I have to do again?...."
I’m fascinated at the woodworking machines that the Japanese have. They’re all so heavy duty. They remind of old school American machines from the 60s and before.
I started watching this cause I wanted to make under the table drawers. Instead, I was mesmerised by the skill and craftsmanship of this guy and even helped my tinnitus a little while I was watching
Very, very nice. I love that finish you put on the cherry wood to bring out the beauty of the wood. It looks beautiful. Chie, your music choice and your different angles of filming combine to make a great video. Thank you for sharing with us. I thought it was wonderful.
True Master Craftsman. Your attention to detail is second to none. So many rush through creating a project. You sir listen to the wood and let it speak. Taking your time to create. Simply beautiful. Greetings from Elberta, Alabama, USA.
I have like many have watched this craftsman with amazement his attention to detail is second to none love his furniture he make so don’t stop you are an inspiration to us all take care 😀👍
I see these videos, not only as a pleasure to watch a well-made craft, but also as a moment of meditation. There is something spiritual about the way things are done here.
Whenever I make something, I repeatedly test it to make sure it will work in the end, and sometimes, it does. I love how you seem to make a lot of random pieces and then abracadabra, it's finished.
Your various tools are intriguing, especially the large, heavy ones. I would love to know some history about them. Thanks for sharing your beautiful work.
Beautiful build followed by a beautiful scene. Thank you guys for your beautiful craftsmanship, beautiful cinematography, and of course, all that Shiro brings to the table. Catch you guys on the next one, and every one there after.

Muito bom como sempre surpreende e ensina, parabéns você verdadeiramente é um Meste na Arte da Marcenaria.
The editing and skills of this channel is just so relaxing. Even with machines flying at 4000RPM, it's just nice and calming to watch the progress until we get that final money shot. Nice work y'all!
There is nothing I can say that hasn't already been said about your artistry both with the wood and behind the lens but although I didn't actually see Shiro in the scenes I am absolutely convinced that without Shiro as the driving force behind the two of you we would be seeing, quite possibly, something very different indeed. Hats off to Shiro, the very motivating Quality Inspector. And as always...Can't wait for your next production!
Perhaps his machines are too old, but I get scared seeing someone ripping massive wood without using a riving knife. Furthermore the technique used to cut the dado's at 9:00 also gives me goose bumps. Pretty sure there are safer ways to do this. Apart from that I do enjoy your videos as they show the details which possibly set you apart as a woodworker.
Me: I wonder if the utility bill is online yet? Computer: Ding! New video from Ishitani. Me: My entire day is now reorganized. Thank you, Chie, for the beautiful video of the master at work. As always, his work is a master's class in craftsmanship.
Always a pleasure to watch this quiet, talented craftsmanship.
Watching your craftmanship is pure therapy for my soul.
