Hello my name is Mario I’m out of Winnipeg ,I have been working as a cabinet maker for the last 40 years and I have also been working with stone as well as glass .I have to say your work is amazing it’s a pleasure to watch what you build and how you go through the sequence of building it is truly an honour I wish you all the best .thankyou amazing is probably not a strong enough word that describes your workmanship .
I started my Apprenticeship as a woodworker (Tischler) in Germany a few months ago and your work is one of my role models, where i would like to develope. Working with massive wood on a basis that is well balanced between manual labor and planning - im really impressed of your work. Beside that, i would like to integrate the traditional japanese woodworking style in my upcomming projects. Greetings from Germany!
Ishitani uses the perfect blend of old and new world tools and techniques to allow him to finish his projects in a profitable and quality manner. Chie is a master of visuals and editing and makes her husband look good all the time. Shiro is quality personified. Love it all.
Will I ever tire of watching this man? Not a chance. May well be the last opportunity to see a true cabinet maker, in every sense of the word, we have.
When a new video pops up from this guy, I just push the like button, share with couple of friends and then finally watch the full video. Hats off.... You are one among the endangered lot of artisans.....
Natsuki. Your cabinetmaking is truly inspirational. The Zen state is peaceful and this is transferred into each piece of timber crafted, into fine furniture.
Your dog is a fantastic character in your show And your work is one of the finest furniture you create,I thank you very much for starting your work on UA-cam episodes.
As a fellow woodworker I admire your dedication to the quality of the work, but the quality of your videos is on par with your woodworking. It is an excellent experience to watch your work and how it is presented. As with your projects, simple, clean and the mark of craftsmanship. Carry on!
If I ever need to relax and unwind I watch one of your videos. The sounds and video editing are second to none. I love to see you taking moments to walk Shiro or admire your garden. However, this is easily the most stressful glue up I've seen! You always remind me to stay cool, calm, and collected in the shop and just enjoy the moments. Cheers!
Ishitani might be my favourite woodworking channel. Most others rely on sponsorships from Woodpecker tools, Domino, and anyone else who will pay them money, it feels like watching Nascar of woodworking. Then you have this channel. Posting content of beautiful furniture for clients. Just authentic, quality woodworking and techniques. This is the one channel that pushes me to do better in woodworking. If I could get to this quality and skill level, I would feel like I had made it as a woodworker.
You are an amazing craftsman. Your design is simple and beautiful. The video are put together with such delicate care. All combined this truly is art. I thank you for not having commercials interrupting this.
How could anyone not appreciate this piece of work? As a previous commenter observed, no sales gimmick but just a work of art and passion. Thank you for all your videos. May you live long and always share the beauty of your craft with the world. Cheers !🍻
I could watch this man work all day. He is a master craftsman who takes great pride in his work; not thrown together like diresta and others. If his products were readily available I would place an order.
Such an inspiration to budding woodworkers. Your talents push me to make my woodworking so much better. Thanks for sharing your outstanding workmanship with me.
I have no understanding of Zen but what I have learnt from this channel is reduction: you don’t need a lot of stuff but whatever you have should have substance and quality
Just wrapped up some serious outdoor projects retaining wall, pool pump rebuild, 2” copper line with an underground water leak, shovel/wheel barrel/flagstone & plumbing (yuck). Now! Getting ready to do a butcher block counter this week. In Need of some R&R and a little inspiration. Sitting here having a pb&j and watching your build is doing the job. Your channel is top shelf. Totally enjoy your work.
Hola, me gusta mucho su carisma en la elaboración tan artesanal, es usted un maestro de la madera... increíble las máquinas de trabajo, felicitaciones un saludo desde Costa Rica, América Central.
Every time I see a new video posting, I form a fist and tuck in downwards and say "yusss!" In excitement. Love watching your videos. Always an inspiration and I admire how u stare at ur work and think of how it is coming together with grain pattern.
You are showing us how we should live our lives. No rushings. Make prior plans. Slowly and carefully. Think things through. Choose the best option... Execute the plan...and have patience... It turns out life is not all about getting what we want but more importantly.. the process that we have to go through in getting what we want...
The work, the man, and the videography embody mindfulness. Being in the moment with the tool and the wood. Focused. Just like we are watching. Amazing woodworking. Amazing videography. As always.
Just incredible. As an aspiring furniture designer and builder, I've watched every video you have produced, even before you updated your channel and removed/reproduced some videos. Inspiring level of care, attention to detail and thoughtfulness goes into each piece and we appreciate you taking us along. ありがと from Massachusetts, USA.
I've seen comments about the metal standards. He does note the client's request! That request may have also included the use of those standards! A beautiful piece of work; I would love to see this after the cherry has aged a while.
Such an elegant design - beautiful proportions with simplicity of form. That cherry looks wonderful even before the finish is applied. Thank you for posting your builds, I really look forward to each new one. The presentation suits the simplicity and elegance of your work so well. Shiro adds that personal touch too.
Awesome work. I really love to watch your videos. It is exciting how traditional furniture is living in the heart of contemporary civilization. One of cultural roots, indeed.
What i love with your skills is that they are totally based on simplicity and efficiency. Your are probably my favorite yt worker cuz of the quality of your videos and the feelin you give in.

Routing freehand like an absolute madman. That takes more bravery than most of us can even comprehend.

I love the sense of time that is somehow woven into the video very naturally. It takes time to make things that are beautiful and have real character.
the sound of wood, the noises, the gloves that touch the boards, the blades that create the shavings ... simply beautiful.
I love your videos. They inspire me every time I see them. thank you.
Just put some tea on and going to watch this. Makes my day. Thank you.
Yup.
I like his balance of traditional handwork and aesthetic with modern tools and hardware.

Don't ever stop making videos, your channel is very rare, it's so relaxing, and there's no trash music.
Amen!!
The workflow is like a meditation, so calm, precise, and matriculate. Just enjoy every one of his video.

The use of both modern and classical tools make your videos very instructional. The video is beautifully filmed and is entertaining to watch.

I would pay this guy anything to teach me how to make all this amazing work, its beautiful.
I love this. I also think part of why it looks so good in the final display is the wood floor. It all works together ❤️
