The Command Zone Sad that the giveaway is on twitter, I don't use it and neither do my friends. Great episode though, love watching your games and with the amazing editing I actually can keep track of what's going on.
We love Twitter because it's one of the top ways we engage with our audience (replying, conversing, and debating topics). It allows us to communicate with everyone and build our community as well. Hope to see you on there some day.

I remember you guys mentioning once in a podcast that it was really difficult to make Magic an entertaining game to watch, because it required too much interface to keep the audience engaged, or something like that. I understand that we didn't get to see what your hands were at all times, but I think this format is done really well, and was very entertaining. Other channels could learn from this.
We've certainly spent a couple of years in the tank thinking about how we'd go about making it entertaining - and it definitely is still a challenge. The multiplayer format lends a lot to helping it become entertaining - it's always fun seeing more than 2 players banter back and forth about a decision, or when something affects multiple people instead of just one. Thank you for the kind words! - jimmy
by far the best live content online. the fact that you only go over only what is inportant, switch between players and board makes it easy to follow and make it feel like a grand epic story instead of just a game and finaly the graphics make things simple to follow as well as looking clean. thank you for the entertainment and have a good day. :)
How long does it take to edit the two games? The editing makes it so fun to watch, and I learn a lot of new combos, which isn't always the best because I already beat my friends 90% of the time haha
Rewatching this episode and it ages well, the production value is so different from today but the goofy "bloopers" and extra clips really made me remember why I love this series.
We decided very early on that playing Baral would not lead to a fun episode for viewers, or ourselves as players, since his entire ability is centered around counter-magic. We wanted to make the best episode for you all to watch, so we decided to play the other commanders instead :)
I really thank you for that,Blue is not fun to play against, I say similar words to what WotC said when banning second sunrise.... It's not interactive, and goes against a fluid MTG game, when you play 3 spells in your turn and everyone gets counter,it's demoralizing,I rather get my things killed, than countered
This video inspired me to build Sram. It's less voltron and more bad storm/Krark Clan IronWorks-Walking Ballista hijinks, but what a deck. Most fun I've had in ages with a new deck. Great videos. Love watching every single one.
There some moments from certain episodes that will always make me laugh: •Mel’s death animation when she died to infect • Cassius’ face when Kyle wiped the board • Craig’s reaction to not being able to target Aurelia with her own ability Jimmy’s “OHHH NOOOOO” topped all of that 😂

We decided very early on that playing Baral would not lead to a fun episode for viewers, or ourselves as players, since his entire ability is centered around counter-magic. We wanted to make the best episode for you all to watch, so we decided to play the other commanders instead :)
Baral is not only worse game play, but has the worst chance of winning. Counterspell centric decks generally don't win commander games, they either slow the game down to a crawl and draw all the aggro, or they keep one person from playing, and both are bad on camera, and neither path leads to victory.
Great episode! I was skeptical of the hyper edited format as I worried games would be too sped up for me to watch them develop and to see all the juicy detail. Out of the box had this problem as most of it was people describing the games in broad terms instead of actually seeing the turns. Episode 3 & 4 both helped assuage my fears. Both games this episode were dynamic and intense and we saw them in depth but not slow paced.
I agree. Out of the Box was our first shot and we learned a lot based upon feedback and our own reflection. I'll also say we had to do Out of the Box very quickly so that was a contributing factor as well. One thing we always pride ourselves on is continued improvement and evolution. We hope each episode of Game Knights is a step up from the last. Thanks for your thoughts and comments - they do very much help.
This is an awesome series--the editing is tight and makes what was a long game into something I could watch over lunch. I also like having themes/restrictions on the decks, so I see more cards that I typically wouldn't see in play. Thanks for your hard work, everyone!
Keep in mind that Jimmy does not specify which ragavan is the greatest legendary creature, so he could be talking about nimble pilfiler. Which leads me to the theory: jimmy was part of the mh2 design team. Thanks for coming to my ted talk.
At 23:53, when Vinny said "Live fast, die young", that was actually the name of two cards from Kaladesh that show Aetherborn (Yahenni is an Aetherborn) in them! Was that intentional?
I love these and i'm really surprised at how fast you guys are pumping these out considering how well done they are. You guys are the best! I really look forward to every episode of Game Knights!
Game Knights #4 was the best episode of the series for me. It's getting better and better each episode and it's awesome! The Rishkar and Sram decks were both cool and wanted to build them. I hope to see the Prof join in as well in the future. More power to you Josh and Jimmy! You guys are the best!

2 Years passed and this one is still so entertaining to watch. The lighter setting, optimal length and the commentary when you go sit 2 by 2, that’s so cool. Oh- and there are two games? Nice bonus!)
Josh, Jimmy, thank you for this series. This is the best paced Magic content I have seen so far and your ongoing commentary provides needed insight for players not used to the cards. You guys are awesome.
Jimmy jokes about Ragavan but Ragavan took it personal and after four years, he destroyed all formats except vintage. I think he were given advise by Tibalt who does same with his trickery. Conclusion: don´t make fun of Magic creatures
@The Command Zone you guys should get Sean Plott aka [Day 9] from the UA-cam show "Spellslingers" on this show, he's a Magic player and is a really fun guy, and it would make for a great episode. Chris Kluwe, former punter for the Minnesota Vikings also plays Magic and is a very formidable Magic player, and would be a worthy Game Knights opponent, maybe try and get him on too. Also, I understand these episodes are hard to make, but it'd be great to have these episodes come out more often, anyway, I hope you read this comment and keep up the great content you guys!

I've never kept MTG game videos entertaining but now things are different - thank you. Please show some Gisa & Geralf (works with some synergetic vintage cards mixed in).
Hey I'm not trying to detract from your win! :) I've done the same thing a couple times just to verify for myself that PE is in fact as stupid as it seemed. Jimmy is wrong, it absolutely needs a ban, more than PoK, or any other card in recent memory, and certainly more than half the card on the banlist.
The old episodes don't have the production value but it always feels like you showed up mid way thru a game and your watching till you can get in the next one :)
Watching this now is awesome after seeing the games knights currently... played this set but didn’t know of the channel at the time so this was an awesome watch! Thanks for all you guys do! 🙌👍

Josh and Wes's decks were amazing! Will definitely have to consider making either Sram or Rishkar in the future. Thanks for yet another excellently-made episode of Game Knights!
I hope you guys are happy, because you just gave me a fun idea, Mycosynth and using bane of progress as a board wipe. Then give the possibility of a combat trick to make him indestructible for a turn. He will survive the nuking of everything and you get a massive beat stick. It will take time for them to rebuild, and that is something they will not have. Though if you can cast him at instant speed you can cast convulsion of nature, before it hits the field flash in bane. Everything goes and you can rebuild faster.

Good news Jimmy! Ragavan just got printed as his own commander, so now you don’t need to play Kari Zev at all!

Baral is definitely the best of the 5. He replaces JVP as the High Tide commander.
I would love to see Baral High Tide
Little did they know that 4 years from posting this video Ragavan would become one of the best legendary creatures ever printed.
I just love how the second game ended "We didn't do the math but everyone died" XD that is the definition of EDH in my mind

Watching this now after the new ragavan was printed…jimmy’s words about him being one of the best legendary creatures were so spot on
You'll never see this but thank you Wes for explaining what Vultron decks are. I've been confused for a few game knights about this.
There some moments from certain episodes that will always make me laugh:
