Kinda like how Mitch messed up Josh's plans when Josh made him lose during Extra Turns. Edit: Also cutting off Jimmy's life later was a great move; cut off the Bolas's Citadel, while being able to also justify it as fair payback for Jimmy attacking the Sorin earlier.

Sure he did give Josh more chances of an out but the biggest threat at that point was Ashlen anyways. If he doesn't try to get the mass reanimate there he has literally 0 chance of winning there anyways

@@tehClew For some of the later parts of the game, the Legendary Artifact spell, The Immortal Sun, stopped Planeswalkers from being activated, so he couldnt activate Sorin while that artifact was still in play.

Guys, I don't know what you are talking about. He had the whole combo (minus commander) on the table. I am surprised they didn't even mentioned that. Mikaeus + Cruel Celebrant + Vish Kal is a win. That Toxic Deluge saved the game. The reasoning in narration was strange though.
Joe should’ve took Josh to 10 when he played Sorin. Josh wins like 75% of the time! Take him out while you can because his decks are built to win the second half of the game when it’s heads up or close to it.

@@allankatch2651 boxes are at 400+ you could get a ps4 pro for that much. Hell you could get a pretty good sized army in 40k for that much. And these are reprints. Reprints should never be that expensive especially for some card stock.
The card animations in this episode were on a new level, like I thought I was impressed when they first started doing them - but this episode really blew me away.
As a reminder, you are able to play lands off the top of your library using Bolas's Citadel. Because of the specific wording of the card, "You may play cards from the top of your library", not "You may cast spells from the top of your library".
Feels like every time Josh plays blue Cyclonic Rift shows up and wins him the game. The episode with him playing Uro was really the limit for my patience, if he's just going to Rift and win every time he plays blue there's not much point in watching when the other decks don't really get a chance to shine. This episode Jimmy misplayed hard by putting down the citadel when there's a Sorin on board, he could've been patient and won if he'd passed without putting down the citadel.

Well other players could also play better cards... Josh is always a bit spikey, it's an open secret that he simply runs efficient cards, Jimmy suiciding himself... it's kinda their shtick.
Jimmy easily could have won if he had played smarter. He drops that Bolas's Citadel, which makes him a prime target for Sorin's -3, and the immediately proceeds to attack Josh instead of Sorin.

Yeah, I used be able to meet up with my commander group once a week. I regret the days where I wouldn't go because I was tired or something. I took for granted that there was always gonna be the next week.

it'd be a trade of hellkite + bosh for Vish Kal, plus healing Josh via lifelink. but yes, it'd be a greater chance since killing Vish Kal will mean that Josh have to find another way to draw that cyclonic rift and still have the mana to overload it
My favorite part is when Joe doesn't use sorins downtick or feels bad about it showing that he cares that everyone at the table is also having fun and isn't gonna kill them immediately.

Hi, I used to play in the 90s.. wish I still had the cards, hah!.. fell out of Magic around 2002 and only in the last year started watching some other channels randomly.. .. But I just want to say how much I love this format and your channel in general! The way you present the game, the cards, talk about the moves, everyone is involved... it's so great and engaging! Amazing.
If you didn’t know there’s a free online software where you can play Magic with others named Cockatrice! Just throw in a .txt file with 100 cards, get a friend, and you’re good to go!

Loved Joe and the energy he brings. Great game, kinda boring to watch a tutored cyclonic rift basically decide the game but overall some great plays and fun moments. Animations and production quality off the charts as always!
This game was so sad for me to watch man. I screamed no so loud when ash attacked joe and not josh to take his sword because she wanted 3 artifacts over 2. That artifact alone won the game and shoulda been the item she took. It would have sealed the game 100%. Great game but I was so wanted her to WIN!
I did the same when Jimmy dropped the Citadel, and then attacked Josh instead of Sorin. He had to have known that he'd be a prime target for the -3 at that point.
yahh ahaha, 3 isnt great than 2 when one of the items is a sword of feast and famine. And the guy shes swinging at had almost no cards in hand, and his sorin was locked up, compared to Josh who had 10 cards in hand and a way to reanimate everyone elses biggest threats on board

@@kaiedwards8997 Protection (and indestructible) doesnt stop non-damage based removal. Also, protection doesnt protect from non-targeted removal anyway.

Literally Joe was insanely close to winning the game like 10 minutes in. Infinite combo with Mikaeus and his commander.
He had a tutor too! All he had to do was play the tutor (saccing the vampire and having it come back), grab a persist creature, and go infinite.

Guys, I don't know what you are talking about. He had the whole combo (minus commander) on the table. I am surprised they didn't even mentioned that. Mikaeus + Cruel Celebrant + Vish Kal is a win. That Toxic Deluge saved the game. The reasoning in narration was strange though.

Joe should’ve took Josh to 10 when he played Sorin. Josh wins like 75% of the time! Take him out while you can because his decks are built to win the second half of the game when it’s heads up or close to it.

The card animations in this episode were on a new level, like I thought I was impressed when they first started doing them - but this episode really blew me away.
As a reminder, you are able to play lands off the top of your library using Bolas's Citadel. Because of the specific wording of the card, "You may play cards from the top of your library", not "You may cast spells from the top of your library".

Feels like every time Josh plays blue Cyclonic Rift shows up and wins him the game.
The episode with him playing Uro was really the limit for my patience, if he's just going to Rift and win every time he plays blue there's not much point in watching when the other decks don't really get a chance to shine.
This episode Jimmy misplayed hard by putting down the citadel when there's a Sorin on board, he could've been patient and won if he'd passed without putting down the citadel.

I have a Kaalia deck and I die 1st regulary with it cuz...well Kaalia. I either die 1st or I win. Every time is a roll of the dice.

but yes, it'd be a greater chance since killing Vish Kal will mean that Josh have to find another way to draw that cyclonic rift and still have the mana to overload it

Hi, I used to play in the 90s.. wish I still had the cards, hah!.. fell out of Magic around 2002 and only in the last year started watching some other channels randomly.. ..
But I just want to say how much I love this format and your channel in general! The way you present the game, the cards, talk about the moves, everyone is involved... it's so great and engaging! Amazing.
If you didn’t know there’s a free online software where you can play Magic with others named Cockatrice! Just throw in a .txt file with 100 cards, get a friend, and you’re good to go!

Loved Joe and the energy he brings. Great game, kinda boring to watch a tutored cyclonic rift basically decide the game but overall some great plays and fun moments. Animations and production quality off the charts as always!
This game was so sad for me to watch man. I screamed no so loud when ash attacked joe and not josh to take his sword because she wanted 3 artifacts over 2. That artifact alone won the game and shoulda been the item she took. It would have sealed the game 100%. Great game but I was so wanted her to WIN!

I did the same when Jimmy dropped the Citadel, and then attacked Josh instead of Sorin. He had to have known that he'd be a prime target for the -3 at that point.
She should've won at 56:30 if she attacked with Hellkite Tyrant and activate Bosh on upkeep but I guess she tunnel visioned

yahh ahaha, 3 isnt great than 2 when one of the items is a sword of feast and famine. And the guy shes swinging at had almost no cards in hand, and his sorin was locked up, compared to Josh who had 10 cards in hand and a way to reanimate everyone elses biggest threats on board
