My personal preference when doing this is do the resto pot loop, then enchant a ring for both the fortify alchemy and fortify smithing enchants. Congrats, you should end up with a ring that allows you to upgrade your gear for what looks like a serial number. But wait, their is more! You can now stack that with a fortify smithing pot to create truly stupid gear.... like a bow that does over 800 damage raw and a steel dagger that does 400 damage raw with no abilities attached. Let's also not forget the obligatory fortify sneak boots so that targets can literally walk into you and not see you.
@@amkn7939 To be honest I was only checking the manhwa, so I don't know how it ends, but you'll probably find spoilers easily since the series is quite well known.
There's a MUCH faster way to level up sneak. In the same spot, retreat behind the pillar and your companion will follow you. Get the x15 damage and harder to detect in sneak and repeatedly attack your companion while sneaking. It levels up INSANELY fast.
Backstab tutorial companion before bear over and over don't lvl until 100...that's all, dagger gains bonus from 1 handed tree as well with a ebony dagger upgraded to max with dark brotherhood gear u crush anything as long as your hiding
That's faster in real time, but not in player time, is it? Spiff just aimed into the corner, weighted down the forward key, and was then free to go to sleep or something.
Had to download a mod to actually make magic efficient in the long run. The mod adds a fortify destruction damage enchantment, and with the usual restoloop exploit, you can make the most basic flame spell into a beam of instant death.
@@castform57 There are ways to improve this design oversight without going that far. Several of the perk packs naturally increase overall destructive power by much more reasonable numbers. But if that is the result you want, you can always just use alchemy with the restoloop, no mods needed. Fortify spell potions boost power, rather than making things cost less. Fun fact, cloak spells gain both reach and damage after drinking a fortify destructo potion, so a potion of 20,000% fortify destruction followed by flame cloak results in a full dungeon clear in about 2 seconds. This also has the benefit of selective damage, so nobody who isn't currently gunning for you will take damage and come after you. Literally the best way to help fight vampires without risking getting thrown in jail for it.
Spiff there is actually one very important reason to choose Ralof: there is a room where Ralof tells you to unlock a door. if you ignore the door you can continually beat up ralof to level up one-handed as he will never aggro and never die.
I can't speak for Ralof but with Hadvar, you can also level up your sneak forever by hiding behind a pillar and walking into it. You can also level up one-handed and destruction in this way too. Just sneak up to Hadvar while he's facing the grate, stab or blast him, walk away, sneak again. Rinse repeat.
@@BeingWolfie but with Ralof you dont' need to walk away to level destruction or one-handed cuz he stays in one place, and if you time it right when he loses all health you can cause a stack-overflow causing him to instantly refill it.
Oblivion is Elder Scrolls slang for Hell. Technically their only way out were the portals in previous version, so if they managed to make it back that far.. they are Reanu Keeves and we are all in danger 😂
So something I’ve realized spiff after watching several of these over again, if you wanna make the smithing even more broken you can get four clothing items with the fortify smithing enchantment which you can do the restoration loop for obviously, but there’s also the notched pickaxe at the top of the throat of the world that absolutely brea- I mean- perfectly balances your smithing skill to ludicrous levels if you improve a weapon while you have it equipped.
By the way, there's a better way to level sneak. Hadvar/Ralof will ignore all friendly fire until you're out of the starting dungeon. Just sneak attack them repeatedly for much faster sneak skill. Sneak goes up based on how much damage you do with a sneak attack, so as your sneak gets better and you put perk points into sneak attacks, you raise it even faster.
also works for hadvar in the riverwood smithy's home, not sure if any progress in civil war is needed, not sure if its been patched out. but i remember on my xb360 sneaking and smacking him in the home while he sat in the chair.
To be honest, since 8 Years I did not hear one nwe way - just the same Stuff warmed up by Chef Mike. And, the most funny Thing: This is the same Bug that allows you to Dupe Items in Jagged Alliance 2. Yes. The old DOS-Game. They forgot to define maximum Valued and cap it. Also, there is no Minimum, so by bringing Stuff below Zero, you st it to the maximum Possible. On JA2 it is the Item counter, allowing you to be able to buy the one unique Item you sold 254 Times back. Here, it is possible with mostly every Stat - and on Sneak and Mana even without using Restoglitch.
my favorite sneak glitch is when you do a stealth roll and shield charge (from block skill tree) and you can just do a silent rush that sends everyone flying until you let go of sprint. Stamina will go down to 0 but it wont stop you from running lol
If you join the storm cloaks in the beginning you can get the key for the gate off the imperials and attack ralof while sneaking for levels. Put on point in sneak and it levels extraordinarily fast
But he's not wrong. If you read the stuff in the game you can find out that the Thalmor basically manipulated Ulfric into starting the Stormcloak rebellion. By having the Empire busy fighting the Stormcloak they are too distracted and divided to fight the Thalmor. The Thalmor are using the most basic and direct "divide and conquer" strategy.
The Thalmor honestly helped the Stormcloaks more than they helped the Imperials. They were trying to make the rebellion costly so they could manipulate other areas while the Empire was distracted.
Tbf if you read the stuff in the game, you find that Ulfric is literally a sleeper agent for the thalmor. Also joining the stormcloaks means betraying Balgruuf and I will never do that.
@@chamoo232 The same missive also says they don't want him to win. If he did, they'd lose access to the province, at least temporarily. The anti-Thalmor thing to do is conclusively end the war one way or the other.
You can level your Sneak even faster at the bear section. You just stand behind the imperial/stormcloak follower and sneak attack him. The NPC can't die because he is essential for the tutorial part, also he won't turn hostile. Sneak attacks increase the skill way faster than autowalk against the wall and this method is more enjoyable, this also works with any other skill, One-Handed, Destruction... Great for legendary difficult runs :P
I know this is Skyrim but I wanna say your chest video for Divinity 2 was the first time a UA-cam video ever convinced me to buy a game. I got it during the current summer sale on steam and now I am 30 hours into a solo chestkinesis run !!!!
You could even stack more on top of that doing the soul trap glitch to get up conjuration. Get the bound bow and dagger spells, and unlock the perk on the tree that makes bound weapons stronger
Once you get to the room with the bear, you can shove Hadvar into the corner where you'd normally autorun into the wall and instead use your dagger to backstab him. As long as you're in range of the bear you get a ton of sneak experience for repeatedly stabbing your companion. He also doesn't become hostile or die, though dropping him to 0 HP may cause him to become dislodged from the corner and require that you reset him once he recovers. Overall, it'll take you about 15-20 minutes rather than several hours to reach 100 sneak. It's a fairly easy opportunity to quickly and easily grind out a couple of legendary skill levels for bonus perk points, if you ever wanted to do something that required tons of extra perks.
Just sneak attacking Hadvar at the bear section raises your sneak much faster, as well as your 1 handed skill. He's immortal and wont become hostile when you attack him so you can take it all the way to 100 fairly quickly.
"Khajiit like to sneak, maneuver silken and sleek. The darkest corners we seek in the night. So feline and fair, from the sands of Elsweyr. And through our glistening stare, perfect sight."
At this point looks exactly like a reenactment of my first ever playthrough of Skyrim. It just happened that being an assassin edgelord was also completely busted op.
Amazing that the exploit master spiff hasn't realized that you can hit Hadvar while sneaking behind him in front of the bear to very quickly power level your stealth. You can get 50 in a couple of minutes
That surprised me too. Every time I start a new game I go trough the mandatory stabbing Hadvar/Ralof session before proceeding and voila, sneak 100 in minutes
I would have killed the torturer because he has a steel dagger and then repeatedly backstabbed the chosen follower in the bear cave for faster level up
Yup, don't know why NO ONE ever talks about setting the game to legendary, then just stabbing the shit out Hadvar or Ralof for hella exp, get to 100 sneak in like, 10 minutes that way. Just make sure to keep as little damage as possible while doing it, save your points for one/two handed until after you're done exploiting it, else it will take longer because they'll no longer out-heal the iron dagger. (Though you can use a fist, but if you pick a beast race you'll run into the same problem of doing a little too much damage for them to out heal it.)
Fun thing about the final perk on the sneak tree: you don't actually need to be stealthy at all once you have it. Even in the middle of a pitched battle, if you crouch with that perk, everyone loses track of you for a moment, which is long enough to execute a sneak attack. You can repeat this to one-shot everything until there are no more enemies left.
On the subject of necromancers and their "just trying to raise a family" thing: it's better than the Stormcloaks and the high elves who are invading; they're out just trying to raze a family. or 2. Hundred.
So if you go with ralof at the start of the game, when u get into the first room u can kill the 2 imperials take the key and ralof can't open the gate, you then go into sneak and hit ralof repeatedly which will quickly level up sneak
@@petesorensenguitar And dont forget to pick up a twohanded weapon on the way to the bear at the end. Why? because you can repeat the feat of beating up your guide for exp just with twohanded this time.

There's a MUCH faster way to level up sneak. In the same spot, retreat behind the pillar and your companion will follow you. Get the x15 damage and harder to detect in sneak and repeatedly attack your companion while sneaking. It levels up INSANELY fast.
also, any successful sneak attack against an enemy you are "hidden" from gives you Sneak XP.
I've heard one of the best things to do it on is shadowmere, but that might be a bit late in the game
@@icyphoenix2401 Ralof and Hadvar at the start of the game don't even turn hostile AND they fast-regen back to full HP

That's faster in real time, but not in player time, is it? Spiff just aimed into the corner, weighted down the forward key, and was then free to go to sleep or something.
The fact I managed to get every single achievement in one playthrough of this broken ass game without mods is what you call a mastery of patience.
Doing that rn with the ps5 version lol looking forward to it
Getting to lvl 78 just for legendary dragons is a pain in the ass
me who has barely used an actual weapon in skyrim: wait, you guys are getting damage modifiers?
Restoration Mains: "Wait, you guys deal damage?"
All of my Master Destruction Mage fights devolved into stunlocking my foes with tickle tasers. Dragons took quite awhile to cook.
Had to download a mod to actually make magic efficient in the long run. The mod adds a fortify destruction damage enchantment, and with the usual restoloop exploit, you can make the most basic flame spell into a beam of instant death.
Ah yes, the legendary *Punchmaster* build. A classic.
"For 60 seconds you do double damage"
Oh no...I know where this is going
Spiff there is actually one very important reason to choose Ralof: there is a room where Ralof tells you to unlock a door. if you ignore the door you can continually beat up ralof to level up one-handed as he will never aggro and never die.
It works the same with Hadvar by not opening the chest
Or do it to either in the room with the bear.
Backstabbing either of them also levels up sneak incredibly fast.
@@BeingWolfie but with Ralof you dont' need to walk away to level destruction or one-handed cuz he stays in one place, and if you time it right when he loses all health you can cause a stack-overflow causing him to instantly refill it.

Thanks for explaining the joke Sherlock. Not even correctly at that; Oblivion is a totally different game, not an earlier version of the same game.

Ten years and we’re still finding ways to break this game over our knees. It truly is Todd Howard’s gift to humanity.
"Skyrim sneak only" and "challenge" in the same phrase forms a paradox.
0:41 The words "balance" and "Skyrim" go together about as well as "Valve" and "trilogy"
my favorite sneak glitch is when you do a stealth roll and shield charge (from block skill tree) and you can just do a silent rush that sends everyone flying until you let go of sprint. Stamina will go down to 0 but it wont stop you from running lol
Can't belive spiff did the fortify restoration loop and didn't disenchant his sneak armour to literally phase out of existence when sneaking.
Late response but I'm pretty sure you can't disenchant the Shrouded set.
Bethesda: Tod, what does the scouter say about his stealth power level

The best part of Spiff's videos is that he's having so much fun making them.
If you join the storm cloaks in the beginning you can get the key for the gate off the imperials and attack ralof while sneaking for levels. Put on point in sneak and it levels extraordinarily fast
"The Stormcloaks are nutters"
Sounds like something a Thalmor spy would say...
Nah, a Thalmor would just insult you for breathing. The technically-not-a-spy is running the Stormcloaks.

And this is why everyone just becomes a stealth archer.
Its actually the hilarious paralysis perk
@@Santiago-Farrell Paralysis can screw you over at very long range though...
You could even stack more on top of that doing the soul trap glitch to get up conjuration. Get the bound bow and dagger spells, and unlock the perk on the tree that makes bound weapons stronger
As soon as I heard the Berserker Rage did double damage, I knew what would follow
Ah yes! Sneak, the most perfectly balanced skill thing in the universe.
As all things should be.
actual its the restauration loop.
then sneak comes into play.
I feel like you'd just absolutely adore Todd Howard singing "it just works " it's just majestic.
Just sneak attacking Hadvar at the bear section raises your sneak much faster, as well as your 1 handed skill. He's immortal and wont become hostile when you attack him so you can take it all the way to 100 fairly quickly.
When you thought Skyrim videos has been exhausted annnnd.. Spiff "sneaked" on us.
"Up the butt Wooly Mammoth"- I feel like that's a thing I've overheard at a bar.
Spiff you just sound so happy to be back in this absolutely amazingly balanced game, it’s so nice to hear
You can get 50 in a couple of minutes
also can use him to level up two handed and one handed skills
that or use shadowmere later on
@@AFlyingSwive usually at least one of them and sneak at the same time
That surprised me too. Every time I start a new game I go trough the mandatory stabbing Hadvar/Ralof session before proceeding and voila, sneak 100 in minutes
With that steel dagger, he now does 240 damage when sneak atyacking in barbarian rage.
I've been using Opera for almost four years and my background is an unlimited number of Bidoofs
Also using the cleaning the focal point quest you can get 100 illusion in about an hour with the muffle spell for the ultimate stealth character.
Thanks! That's how I was forced to do it on the Special Edition version for PC.
I'm surprised anyone leaves the filthy Torturer and his assistant alive at all.
On the subject of necromancers and their "just trying to raise a family" thing: it's better than the Stormcloaks and the high elves who are invading; they're out just trying to raze a family. or 2. Hundred.
thousand
You could make this slightly better by becoming a vampire lord for the bonus sneakiness, and necromage perk.
That mustache/rat tail combo on an orc. Amazing *chef's kiss*
I can tell Spiff really liked playing Skyrim , All praises to Lord Todd Howard creator of everything !!!
So if you go with ralof at the start of the game, when u get into the first room u can kill the 2 imperials take the key and ralof can't open the gate, you then go into sneak and hit ralof repeatedly which will quickly level up sneak
Yep, it levels up one handed too, and once you're doing that backstab damage you get an insane amount of skill xp.
@@petesorensenguitar And dont forget to pick up a twohanded weapon on the way to the bear at the end. Why? because you can repeat the feat of beating up your guide for exp just with twohanded this time.
When doing your sneaking mode you can speed up the game by hitting Ctrl -Print Screen. Speeding up the game has many applications. Great videos.
