I think it’s pretty obvious how some of these made it as the Amazon choice. They are cheap and parents have no issue buying them for their kids. Either knowing that they’ll break eventually knowing kids aren’t easy on things or not knowing better.
I love that he complains about quality of the components they're made of when he just bought a digital camera for $34
The thing with Amazon's choice is that it ain't always meant for quality, it's typically mainly for budget, hence why you've seen stuff that are cheap as hell.
But then why get Razer if you want bang for buck?

If amazons choice products are chosen based on buys+reviews+lack of returns, then it’s not amazon technically “choosing” these products, it’s just the average customer on amazon making the choices
but some of the products had less then 150 reviews. so if i buy a brand new product and I am the first reviewer and purchaser and give it 5 stats. its a 5 star product, 100% satisfaction, 0 returns. seems kinda flawed
@@kirbi3232 Oh it's extremely flawed, the same is true for extremely cheap stuff that just works well enough. If you pay even $80 for a gaming headset and the quality isn't good enough for you, you're more likely to return it and keep looking for a better pair at the same price. When you pay $23, you're way less likely to try and return it, because at that price, if they can do the bare minimum a user could ask of them, you can't really hope to find much better for the same price. Not only this, but smaller sellers with cheap items have a strong tendency to offer sending a replacement if the unit is broken without even requiring a return, specifically because doing so does not count against them in the algorithm, and people receiving a replacement for free without the hassle of a return are more likely to leave a good review.
With that said, for any serious purchase, one should look online and cross reference a few different review sites to find an item that is more or less universally recommended for that price range. While not absolutely foolproof, you're more likely to find actual quality items that fit your budget, sometimes from brands you've never heard of.

@@kirbi3232 I’m pretty sure the Amazon choice is awarded to products that first sell well and then second review well, meaning if just one person buys a product and reviews it as 5 stars it still wouldn’t count because it’s just one purchase. Remember Amazon choice is essentially “most popular item” plus decent reviews, but it would have to first be a popular item
I actually bought the Amazon desk for my college apartment a couple months ago and so far it's been really good. Highly recommend if you aren't looking for a desk that breaks the bank
That mic was surprisingly good for one on a cheap headset with no pop filter.
The bluetooth headset Amazon suggested has actually been solid Anker Soundcore Q20. Long as hell battery life/charge and very long range.
I have a vendetta against those headphones. The Q20s were really solid BUT the plastic on it slowly started cracking and shattering from casual use. Now whenever I see them or any of the upgraded models, I just give a look of disappointed disgust.

I have the q45s and they're very well built, so much so that they're a little uncomfy without patting @@NoahInfinity
The entire Soundcore line is actually very good. I have the Life A3i wireless buds that actually have alright noise canceling. They sound on par with AKG (underrated brand).

the microphone sounding bad could also be how with hp laptops, they have the hp mic cancellation audio turned on by default to reduce background hissing and such so the audio sounds way worse and sometimes distorted. To fix this go to HP Audio Center, Input and then turn the toggle off. I had this on by default since i prefer the usability that even if the audio quality is worse, at least i sound clear and less bg noisem

I have the same mouse. The only issue is that dirt gets into the mouse when forcing you to blow into it to get it working correctly or requiring you to take it apart to fully clean
That HP laptop did have a memory slot so there is at least one point to opening it.
The speed of it was so darn slow, I doubt it'd help. Probably not even a i3 CPU or AMD Ryzen 3 or 5. lol

well the desk is $90 in canada. sounded too good to be true at $30 ( probs around $45 can) still amazon had some decent desks for cheap. i was wondering around facebook market place. i just never think about amazon when it comes to larger packages
I picked up a SOLID L-Desk for about $150 with an all metal frame and wooden top. Frame is pretty solid with zero movement and buckling happening with it. The Top can easily be replaced if I need to with my own.
You should do an Amazon's choice video on cameras and equipment. Would love to see that

To my knowledge, most prepaid phones will work without the plan just on wifi though. They're really handy for just having a phone.

I think you should start doing desktop or laptop build competitions based on price brackets. Do amd vs intel builds and do it based on a price bracket such as 500-1000 1000-1500 1500-2000 etc. it will help people that are on a certain budget on what they could reasonably buy based on their budget. Instead of broke vs pro. Do this based on budgets. Thanks! Love the videos.

A lot of the programs that you were thinking about actually no longer illegal, which is quite funny. Because they are now considered streaming service program products. Like iptv, beetv, nova tv. IPTV streams, live TV and movies and shows all for the price of $50 a year. Beetv and nova tv are good streaming services for TV shows and movies

I have a TracFone TCL 30z that I bought for about $50-60 which sucks because a few months later it's about $30 now but I can't complain when it works just any other smartphone with android 12 even if it's somewhat slow.
Well if it's slow then it doesn't work as well any other android just say you bought a cheap phone because your cheap there are plenty of android under 300 bucks and you get a good quality phone that's isn't slow lol you should invest I'm just saying
@@ephwurd2yurMother I stated somewhat slow and I had slower things like my Acer laptop which cost way over $300 but the sad part why that thing was slow because the company was way too cheap where put in the slowest HDD that even my old HP laptop from 10 years HDD ran faster.
So after some research with a 1TB SSD and SSD/HDD cloning dock which cost $50+ l got that thing running at it full speed but like I said I had slower running things.

I've been using TCL phones for a while, and am watching you right now on a TCL Android TV. I never had an issue with TCL until I upgraded to the TCL30XE 5G. Up until this phone I viewed it as a comparable to economy Samsung.

Even the lay out of the cameras, buttons, and the screen size were similar. You are probably one of those people who pay the extra for Johnsonville Bratwurst when Great Value is literally packaged in the same plant.

I still have the apples earpods with the 3.5mm version that came with the ipod touch that I used to have years ago. The sound quality is meh, the bass is too boomy and sounds muddy and the midrange is recessed with the vocals being pushed back while the bass overtakes the treble and midrange lacks any clarity and detail. I bought the moon drop quarks the 3.5mm version with the built in mic non dsp version and it sounds way better than the apple earpods for less than $20. The moon drop quarks are not perfect since the cable introduces microphonics with the cable when walking and the sound is distracting since I can hear the cable rubbing against my shirt even when walking and the other downside is the cable is not removable since the cable is an attached cable. The moon drop quarks don't use 2 pin connector or the mmcx connector found on iems like my main iems from fiio the fa1. The moon drop quarks midrange vocals are clear and detailed for its price and the bass is tight and the treble is rolled off before it starts to get harsh depending on track but the treble does not get as bright compared to my fiio fa1 iems unless there is alot of things happening in the mix on certain tracks that can cause harness and brightness that is fatiguing to listen to. My fiio fa1 are tuned to be neutral with the midrange vocals as the main reason to listen to them if you listen to alot of music with vocals but can be very boring if you are a bass head that wants alot punch and slam in your music since they are not tuned for bass heads.

That laptop for $300... Jebus. I got a used Dell on ebay for $50 that has a 128gb m.2, 8gb ddr4, and an i3 8145 with Windows 11 installed. Even has a usb-c display port, hdmi out and SD card reader. It's only a 1366x768p screen but not the worst thing I've ever looked at. Runs awesome with Kubuntu.
