The quality control on Amazon isn't good which is evident with Chinese brands selling cheap and poor quality products. The gaming peripherals you often see on Amazon *aren't* as good as the more expensive name brands and usually have issues like the wrong shaped Enter key, keys fading, mice not working with some games, and usually failing within a few weeks to months. Even sellers like Alarco, ViprTech, and STGAubron are selling cheap gaming desktops with poor quality components/peripherals which actually use old hardware and often doesn't support Windows 11.

It's already dropped to a consistent $280, and regularly gets discounted $50 to $100 off of that price. You really kinda brushed over a lot of the features on the 502 Hero. The whole "triangles" on the side thing is actually an LED indicator for the sensitivity level of the mouse's DPI, which can actually be changed on the fly to be more or less sensitive with the two buttons sitting directly in front of that indicator. Plus every button is customizable too and the scroll wheel has the option to have a controlled ratchet or free-spinning. Really glossed over a LOT about it that makes it probably one of if not the most popular gaming mouse made.
Oh and side note, people tend to prefer their gaming mice wired instead of wireless because of the greatly reduced input latency.

Also I think Austin is outside of the mouse's demographic (gamers that require the low latency of a hardwired mouse). I feel like hard wired (or built in [for a laptop keyboard]) is still better than wireless.
I bring up keyboards because I tried using a wireless one when playing Rhythm Hell and the input lag was awful while the laptop's built in keyboard did way better, so I can understand the same idea with wired gaming mice.

I learned many decades ago that just because something is popular or sells well does NOT in any way indicate it is actually good. In far too many cases it seems that people see something that is popular and just stop looking thinking that if so many other people like it then it MUST be good so there is no point in trying to find better. They are just sheep going along with the rest of the flock with no idea that the flock is heading to the abattoir. When I see a "best seller" tag I immediately become suspicious and start looking for alternative options. 99% of the time I find something much better and often for less $$$.
