      On the contrary there are people like me who sleep way too much. Especially now, after a very traumatic event (The second one this year...) I've just been going down deeper into my depression and just sleeping, hoping to wake up and have everything be okay, or "normal" again

      I was trying to leave a basic comment but it wouldn't let me. I'm trying to figure out if I've been lovebombed by my partner. When he didn't have a good throughout the majority of our first year being together he was super affectionate and sweet and would then ask for things. But now since he's had a job he's barely affectionate except when he wants something he usually becomes really affectionate before. At first I thought it was he was tired from working so much but I really don't know

    Manipulative persuasion is widely integrated by people looking for excuses to bully people. But look like a kind person while doing it.
    A person with an otherwise normal trait is targeted. They use out-of-context data to point out why it is bad, and use fear-mongering to create a sense of urgency. It panics people and their immediate reaction is to harrass the victim to "stop doing the bad thing".

    Narcissistic behavior needs a cure 🎉

    • @damonf6564
      @damonf6564 Місяць тому +1

      Many are raised by narcissists. They learn the skill set used by the narcissists they grew up around. They can replace the skill set with another, more healthy one; usually Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Some end up with the personality disorder of NPD. They rarely care in the least and never change. The simplest way I have found to see the difference is that NPD has the emotional intelligence of a 5 year old. Their actions, regardless of sophistication, are more akin to that of a school yard "I'll get you for that!", than any adult complexity.
      I was raised by narcissistic parents. I replaced the skills I learned. One of my siblings is a narcissist. I'm writing from experience, not any degree or the like.

    Another technique I can think of is the salesman's favourite: pressing for a quick decision. As in, "Only 25 more left in stock, order yours today!"

    • @specialtwice4975
      @specialtwice4975 26 днів тому +2

      Another similar to this is urgency.
      One time a business man psychopath called asking for my mom.
      She was busy wayyy back in the garden so I asked "May I ask who's calling?" and "What is this about/for?", thinking they could just call back later.
      The man refused to answer any of my questions and just kept asking for my mom, using her name (acting like he knew her personally), and saying "I need to speak to her. Now."
      So I ran out back and got my mom to answer the phone, thinking it was urgent.
      Turns out, he was just the sales con guy who had called us before and it wasn't that important.
      My mom just calmly said "no thank you" to his product speel, because she could tell he was a weasel, and ended the call.

    Could you elaborate on love bombing? I've gotten in a relationship about 2.5 months ago and I had been doing exactly what you described with love bombing, showering her with love and affection. I have absolutely no intent of manipulating her or simply stopping showing affection. I believe, the way you explained it, it's too easy to confuse real affection with manipulative one. Someone in a real healthy relationship could think they are being manipulated after seeing this video.

    I am someone pretty friendly and empathic, which is probably the only thing that makes it so I am not someone evil because if I wanted to I could manipulate people's emotions with a very high success rate using manipulative persuasion as I am REALLY good at it.
    I always do it as a "joke" to my friends because I feel it's pretty entertaining and lately I have been using it to make them feel "uncomfortable" to say no more, but the process of thoughts that I put there to get maximum efficiency is something to worry, at least a small amount because when I do it I imagine *many* possibilities that each one depends in different factors like what you do/say, the time in between actions, how useful it will be for the next set of actions and more.
    Now what is something to truly worry about is when I use it to make a plan to *really* make someone *suffer,* it is not something I do many times and almost all of those plans are for some people that I truly can't stand (smth very hard because as I said I am very friendly), but well when this does happen I simulate in my head HUNDREDS of possibilities in a matter of seconds, each one of these possibilities being countered by various simulated actions that also have many factors on them leading on to more simulated possibilities and I swear how much I enjoy it just from imagining to do it is a very worrying thing.
    Also as I said there are times that I make those "plans" in my head not with people I can't stand, but just anyone, and the only reason being just how *good* it feels to imagine making someone suffer so *much~...* Moments like those are when I truly notice I may be a psychopath, some say they are "intrusive thoughts", but they are way too detailed to be just intrusive thoughts.

    • @Rathenflick
      @Rathenflick Місяць тому

      Oh, and I forgot to say that when I do this with my friends I tell them the moment I stop that it was a joke... Won't lie, human emotions are very, *very* interesting and I love to play with them even if it is my own emotions (yeah, I think I am also a bit of a masochist, but that is another thing to talk about).

    I came across these short films (videos) in the winter of 2017/18, a year after the divorce & death of my father. I was 56 years old. I wish I had learned this early in life, maybe before the eighth grade. Now that my career is in ruins, I'm alone & rejected by wife, family, even children, I feel it's too late. Who will hire a disabled old man? What sane woman will go out with a broke old man? And I feel angry too when people tell me not to feel bitter. As if they want to take away even my thoughts & emotions. One cannot turn back the clock. No one can give me back all those years so I can try again.

If they ask for it to be said that way, is it then ok to "manipulate" them towards feeling better about themselves? Diction and pronunciation are huge problems of this channel, and it has been like this for years. It is always so difficult to understand what the person is saying, I don't get it why wont they hire a native speaker or a voice actor? It really is not expensive nowadays, but would improve the quality of content drastically.
