Are you feeling a little bit frazzled, worn out, fatigued or stressed? This 30 minute yin yoga class might be just what you need. This is a gentle therapeutic practice to alleviate stress and anxiety and soothe your nervous system. I'll be using a bolster to make the poses extra comfortable but if you don't have one, just grab a few bed pillows or a couch cushion.
This is a wonderful practice for anyone with adrenal fatigue, hormonal imbalances and high levels of stress and anxiety. Cleo joins me a bit in this one too which is always a nice treat :)
What is Yin Yoga? Yin yoga is often called the Yoga of the joints because unlike other styles of yoga, the emphasis is not on the muscles but on the deep connective tissue. Connective tissue is made up of fascia, ligaments and tendons which surround and form your joints. Yin yoga improves the range of motion in your joints and also strengthens them. The results and benefits are more flexibility and greater range of motion and also more stability within your joints.
There are 3 principles of Yin Yoga.

This is my go to yin practice when I am just emotionally tired or overwhelmed, especially being a caregiver to my mom now. This practice helps me to reset myself emotionally. It allows me to practice self compassion and self love, something we all need to give ourselves. I appreciate your soothing and calming teaching style. ❤

I just want to say thank you so much for this practice. I'm Autistic and under a lot of stress, so it's been really hard to regulate myself, but going through this practice always makes such a huge difference. Today was particularly bad for me, but doing this practice has made it so I don't need to take any anxiety pills which is a huge deal for me.

I am so grateful for all your yin classes. I suffered burnout last year and of all the things I’ve done to recover, daily yin yoga has been the most beneficial for dealing with stress, remaining calm even in adversity, and avoiding the overwhelm that caused me to be off sick from work. Thank you for all that you do, Kassandra. I’ve been watching your videos since September 2020 and you’ve been around for some huuuuge life changes of mine. I lost 40 lbs of weight and went from borderline hypertension to healthy blood pressure over the course of the last 2 years. And I feel stronger and more agile than ever! I feel yoga creeping into all kinds of life activities, and I find it gives me the bodily coordination to do all kinds of things I was never able to do before. So thank you for all that you do, and know that this is one of my all-time favorite classes of yours! It allows me to reset when I feel I’m spiraling on a bad day.
As a Yin modality / character polarity male I have to say, I have been SO deprived lately, and as no one I know speaks or at least gives tips for minorities like us, together with Yang character modality ladies - This practice has truly been a godsend for ME! Breathwork I get it, but I had NO IDEA how helpful Yoga can be. So lucky to have started researching on my innate Yin character modality to find you🍀🤗🥰. Thank you ever so much Kassandra ❤
Loved this, but I got a bit distracted at the end when your gorgeous cat came on screen lmao. It just looked so peaceful with you stroking her/him. I have two of my own and I love them to pieces. When your practise ended, I hit rewind and watched it back and seeing the both of you in Savasana was the most adorable thing ever!!! Namaste

I really liked the chanting of Om at the end. That really sealed the practice for me. A lot of emotions came to the surface during this practice, but holding these gentle poses helped me process some of that and be kinder to myself.
This practice has helped me alot. I have done this only 3 days. My life entered into rough patches in 2020 since then I have not felt normal. Constant buzz worry and anxiety. Brian fog and tiredness Limb tremors. All that just reduced. I feel calm and energetic. After years i have felt normal thanks . Keep shining ❤

Really love this one. Had a restless sleep with a cortisol surge (courtesy of long covid) and instead of letting that setting my day's mood, I'm pretty calm now.
I just had an egg retrieval a few days ago, needed some stretching and did this. I’m so relaxed I almost fell asleep. I think the hip opener is great to release trauma (the body keeps the score). Thank u for making this ❤

Did this for the first time before going to sleep, CPTSD and my nervous system has been a wreck since last year. I dreamt that I was doing this yoga in sleep, and that I was releasing all the negative emotions while doing it, it was flowing down my body.
Very relaxing! I am learning to relax, I have been able to decrease anti anxiety meds after following your practice videos for a month.

Today was a difficult day having lost a family member succumb to cancer. Not being able to know that this was going on was difficult to understand and digest. Coming to the mat helped calm my nerves, I knew that it was required. I pray that all those who are going through any grief find peace. I truly wish everyone out there the best of everything. If I could like this video a million times, I would. I've been suffering from pretty severe acid reflux issues for about three months now, and I practice with this video at least once a week. More 15-20 minute yin videos like this would be amazing!! Thank you Kassandra for your light and energy! ❤️

I normally don't do long sessions on work days, but I was up early enough this morning that I decided to. I woke up with a stiff back, and now it feels so much better!

These familiar poses bring an extra soothing feeling with two stacked pillows I used.. These Yin classes are like a shower rinsing inside my head, flushing my morning anxiety out. Thats worth a lot to me so, thank you. 😊

This one was great too, but I like all of her Yin yoga videos I’ve done so far. I really like the water fall pose. I saw it in another video and try to do it every day. My dog and cat came to join me at the end of the practice too. Pup says time for that walk you promised momma!
This was a gorgeous practice. I did find it a bit frustrating not having a bolster. My bed pillows and blocks just weren't cutting it. Despite that, I'm still feeling at peace and relaxed; a feeling I've sorely been missing. Thank you!!
Investing in bolster and blocks is the best thing I have done for myself. Hope you can do that 🙏🏽

About 1/4 of the way through a memory came into my mind and I just cried and cried and released the pain. It was a thought and memory and feeling of how much I loved somebody. Only for them to turn out to be a narcissist that has traumatised me for years.

Thanks Kassandra- for next ideas I’d love some longer 40-1hr slow flow vinyasa classes around stretch, flexibility and winding down at end of day, particularly as I sit all day, it’s nice to finish with some slow movement. I enjoy the flexibility and stretch or ones to distress after a long day as they complement my high intensity exercises routines aswell. I personally like the slow vinyasa stretches over Yin, but that’s just me. (My recent favourites were your 45min flexibility slow flow, your 40min slow flow for stress, and your longer 1hr slow flow classes like the ones for split and hamstring flexibility, even the moon and Chaka series that were flows, but also calming and slower paced). Anything like that longer would be amazing xx 🙏

Hi Kassandra, Not long ago I found your yoga channel here on youtube I am a beginner and have been practicing with your channel from the beginning of January, I was suffering a lot with lower back pains and I am feeling so much better already.
