I took my son’s throttle cable which changes to two cables, just below the front of the gas tank, pop the capping off, and you can remove the throttle oiler cable , his may be aftermarket, but I’ve seen factory also, and you can simply disconnect and remove one cable, rather than wire tying
BTW the whole assembly pulls out with out taking the side case off to take off the cog. By simply removing the most norther screw and southern screw the slightly pulling on the whole pump. Years 89 to 05
@@thomasaccy4719 if you are to look at the pump head on. the upper most screw and the bottom most screw. remove them and then pry out on the whole assembly shouldn't take much. the gear/cog slide out with the whole pump.
No I did not (yet) I just zip tied my oil cable up out of the way onto the frame. You could also go into that split box and just remove the oil side cable and lube up the box. One thing that can occur though if you do this is that it can try to twist in that box and drag your throttle response down or even make it stick open. That’s why I just chose to zip tie cable out of the way. I will measure it in the next couple days and find a cable that works. Thanks for watching!
@@dirtbikedadgarage4662 cool. i eliminated the oil pump all together with a plug kit. id lile to eliminate that cable junction box as well. let me know what throttle cable u find. thanks again
I did this bc the bike did not come with an oil tank or supply lines. I think the automatic oilers are good (we kept ours on our PW50). With the gumming up you could check yours to see if its getting too much oil and adjust it. Thanks for watching!!
I did. I was able to modify a shorter one with some weld on the end as the tip for the carb slide. I sold that specific bike so I don’t have any pictures just had to get creative.
Haha yeah I have seen some of his videos pretty funny. I just have to post more videos and maybe I can pump my numbers up towards his. Thanks for watching!
All you had to do was pull the two screws that hold the plastic cover over the pump pull the two Phillips head screws then you can either put the block off kit in or remove the gear and put it all back together you don't have to do it half of all that other stuff you be done in 5 minutes just saying

What is the purpose of deleting the oil pump and running premix?

Do you have to tune the carb after this?
amigo buenas noches, le escribo de medellin colombia, hay alguna forma de contactar con usted

what premix ratio do you run? I'm going to do this to my bw80 I'm restoring and don't want to blow it after rebuilding the whole motor
I run 32:1 and it runs pretty good. When time allows I’ll put up a video of the full rebuild and go over that. Thanks for watching!
Just curious why people do this. My exhaust is always gummed up. Will this help?

there is a spacer on these where the exhaust attatches to the bottom of the engine. remove it and it should solve ur problem
Take it as you never found what to do with the throttle cable?
