Thanks so much for posting this! It's been super helpful and enabled me to do my first engine rebuild. Seeing the video makes following the service manual so much easier and gave me the confidence to do the case splitting. Once I get a few more parts, I'll be putting it back together soon. Thanks again!
Some people put it on first and slide top end over especially on a little bulletproof bike like this. On a nicer bike like my daily driver motorcycle or my bigger 250 I use the ring compressor and slide it down the cylinder nicely. Thanks for watching!
It’s not too bad to do once you get started. Here in the next couple weeks I will upload a video rebuilding with all the torque specs and some other things I’ve learned from all the viewers and comments. Thanks for watching.
@@dirtbikedadgarage4662Hey just wanna ask, doing the same thing to mine as well as I messed up the crankshaft sealing surface and need to replace the crankcase with a good used one. Anyways, what kind of puller did you use to split those cases? I’m having a hard time getting ready to do mine and would like some help before I mess it up again. Lol thanks
Great job, thanks for taking your time and showing all great job

I am planning on doing quite a few more walkthroughs, hopefully I can keep helping people out and learn some stuff myself. Thanks for watching!

So glad getting the part off at 4:00 was so straight forward you didn’t need to show us wouldn’t have saved me any time 😐
Good video, but why u got a brand new piston on the crank already??? Should keep that off till installation of topend

Doesn’t it being that loose let more oil in?
How u get bearings out?
Can you tell me what the last part is that you took out that was stuck
Think you are asking about the whole transmission, long shaft with all the gears. Thanks for watching.
Where can i find a pw 80 engine?
Your best bet is to find a pw80 that someone has junked and buy it as a parts bike.
Just got an 83 pw 80. It scares me to have to crack the cases but I know I need to
