Just got my son a 2001 ... going threw some small hiccups but its not running to bad now . I think another carb cleaning . Like fully off the bike deep clean .
Hey just to let you know running a higher gas oil ratio like 40:1 will only make the bike run more rich. Originally the pw80 oil pump produces about a 20:1 gas oil ratio and even for that ratio the oem carburetor is still jetted slightly rich. Hard to say if the aftermarket carb you have is the same as the oem carb jet size wise. If you really want to jet it properly just pick a ratio say 32:1 and stick with that. Then jet it as you would for a four stroke. Remember, too much gas = too rich you should not be changing the gas oil ratio to compensate, you should be changing jet size to compensate. Example, going down some sizes on the main jet. Hope this helps.
I assume you are talking about the carb breathing ports. At the time I didn’t have the hoses but there should be some hoses attached and lead to an “out of the way” spot
@@alatorreracing so my problem know with it is the after a few min riding when the bike get hot it cut off n I gotta wait to it cold down so its starts again
@@viadelgraciamelendez5703 sounds like a top end. I’d get one of the ones on Amazon that come with a new cylinder. Make sure you’re mixing correctly when you do get her running again
Nice work, very smart mod that doesn’t deprive your pump of oil causing it to explode in your engine. Still working well? Thinking about doing it to mine soon here

The bike will run perfect on a 50:1 ratio
Nice work! What about the two fittings at the top that are not being used?

@@alatorreracing thanks so much!
I don't understand why the tube from the oil tank cak to the carb . What if you have a stock Mikuni carb?
Think that pump sends too much oil clogging stuff up?
It absolutely does. These are known to burn way to much oil. Clogs everything from the carb to the exhaust
There’s not enough room there for that thing to properly rev out it should do about 40 stock
why havent u guys been postings
WavyyDrizzy been busy doing other things. Or just forget to record some of our builds
Been busy on my channel riding. Check out what we’ve been doing
What ratio u running I just buy one n idk what's the best ratio for it
I’m running 40:1

Still going, holding up really well. No signs of exploding engines here 😂
If you just delete the pump itself it’s less drag on the motor. One less gear to turn.
