Hey nice video! question: did you take out the spark arrestor? your bike sounds louder than the normal pw80 or could it be the sound of it being inside of a garage?
That’s the injector oil you that’s what burns off as you ride the bike in this video I’m showing how to change the transmission oil which you should do probably once a season
This a a two stroke the oil under the tank is injector oil that lubricates the motor during combustion and it is burned off, this the smoke you see out of the exhaust
Very good job of giving clear easy directions
Thanks bro tea helpful I came to this vid not k owing anything about oil change on these bikes and left the vid knowing how to do everything with oil
Thanks for posting! Very helpful! 👍
Awesome video man! Super helpful. Is there an oil filter on these bikes that needs to be replaced?
Nope typically no oil filter on two strokes
Thanks nice video how often do you change oil
Every 10 hours or so
I'm gonna try 10w-40 in my next clean and change.
@REALISMMODSAC it went crazy good for me i didnt know it could even be this good
Oil in mine was like 4+years old
Why use the old oil for lubrication when you have clean oil there?
Hi I was wondering what oil is needed for the Yamaha PW80 it says it is normal 10w-30. But does 10w-40 oil work?
i always use 10 40
I use 10w-30 sintetic oil
Nice job bro
Nice 👍 video. you’re PW is in good shape.
Thanks for the video 😊🙂
Hey nice video! question: did you take out the spark arrestor? your bike sounds louder than the normal pw80 or could it be the sound of it being inside of a garage?
Franz Joseph Liszt no it still has the stock spark arrestor must just be the garage
Addison Wallace oh ok
I have the PW80 for 14 years now and since I bought it new it’s been loud just like the one in the video, I think they are just like that
Frida Ceballos oh, mine whispers. It’s incredibly quiet. I got mine slightly used. Not sure but it could be the year of the bike
What oil did you use and do you have to mix gas with oil
Why are you putting a 4 stroke oil in a 2 stroke bike?
Honda gn4 is okay to use as transmission oil
2 stroke oil is for the fuel, four stroke oil is for the crankcase
What goes under the seat on a pw80?
That’s the injector oil you that’s what burns off as you ride the bike in this video I’m showing how to change the transmission oil which you should do probably once a season
Could i use 5w30 engine oil for it
@@adamsherwood81269 as long as it says it is compatible with a wet clutch system
Thanks buddy 👍
Isn’t this a 2 stroke ?
Gabriel Weiss yes
@@addisonwallace3384 You noticed also he used 4 stroke oil.
@@matthewnewman8438 This oil is made for modern four-strokes which means it can be used in the transmission.
@@matthewnewman8438 for the gears just like an rt 100
Yep you need mtl it's a purple bottle for 2 strokes wet clutch
Same for the Coyote pw?

Also what oil do I need for injection
So what's the oil tank under the seat for? Is it just another spot to fill?
This a a two stroke the oil under the tank is injector oil that lubricates the motor during combustion and it is burned off, this the smoke you see out of the exhaust
