I’m Nigerian American. In 2017 I visited Nigeria after living in the USA for about 20 years. I spent 3 weeks overseas, outside the USA, eating lots of food and drinking water drawn from the ground. I noticed every time I drank water I felt like I just ate something. I had the best sleep of my life, my mind, my brain was very alert and sharp, I was eating everything food but was losing pounds of weight, the food was so flavorful and real. I felt so healthy, all pains, including constant migraines were gone. It took me a while to realize that wait, this is all happening cos I’m not eating and drinking food and water in America. Got back to the US and all the crap and unhealthiness came right back. I love this country. Let’s vote for better health. America goes, the world goes.
That's interesting to hear. I have a few friends in Nigeria, Abuja and Lagos and currently they have food scarcity and insecurity. In fact they appreciate every little bit of money I send and some begging to Jappa to America or UK. They drink water from plastic bags probably imported from China. However, they are not of the upper class who probably can afford the best of everything. Even the Nigerian nobles fly to US for medical and education.
they say "don't swallow the toothpaste it's bad!" but then say it's totally fine to hold it in your mouth for the suggested two minutes while you brush, your mouth which is a mucus membrane that is highly absorptive, so much so that there are sublingual medications... like it just doesn't make sense to me. if it isn't safe to swallow, it's most likely not safe to hold in your mouth for two minutes.

You did not mention that naturally occurring fluoride in the ground that occurs in spring water is definitely a different salt then the shit that comes as a biproduct of industrial manufacturing. Would b nice to clarify that fact
One important thing you forgot to mention about R/O water is that you must remineralize the water before drinking. If you drink too much R/O water with nothing in it, it will rob you of your minerals as your body processes it.
I'm so glad you covered this topic that's been controversial for decades and it's hard to get any real science supporting fluoridation. In the UK I flicked to the channel showing televised government sessions and they were talking about the crisis in dental care in the NHS as it's becoming more difficult to get a dentist in our country. As I started viewing someone suggested the fluoridatiion of the water would be helpful. The `expert' said the evidence was very positive in this regard and had been around a long time and they would start doing this in the North of the country. They always seem to experiment on the North first as the majority of the wealth and power is down south! The only study he referred to was one which involved splitting a county and fluoridating half of it and that half was shown to have better outcomes and they all agreed that this was the way forward. It was shockingly unprofessional for a debate. Tony Robbins looked at this issue and said they'd contrived statistics like this before and the reason why one area had better outcomes was nothing to do with fluoride but that the difference in wealth and dentist availability in one area over the other. I am sure there is corruption and financial interest involved in this and a desire to dumb down people's IQ would also suit powerful interests as we're more exploitable that way. Avoiding fluoride is tough though as nerve numbing toothepastes like Sensodyne have it in and the non-fluoride toothpastes don't numb tooth nerve pain.
We've been using a Clearly Filtered pitcher the past year or so and have been pretty satisfied with it. I know it filters out fluoride and chlorine as well as many other things, but would be interested to hear if anyone has any thoughts on it.
Soooo should I just throw my Berkley filter out? Is it just not good at filtering stuff or is it actually more harmful? I guess I should test the water myself to know for sure. Also reverse osmosis seems also just like another filter.
Water filters like Brita don’t do anything. Stay away from filter machines instead look into reverse osmosis water systems. That will ensure the water is actually being filtered.
In 2016 I had to do a college research project on a topic for a critical thinking class, and I chose fluoride because it was controversial at the time. Conclusions were bad as it was a neurotoxin and reduced iq in some studies. My personal belief though is that fluoride is good for your teeth but I don’t know how effective it is. It is horrible to ingest though. The way fluoride works is that it binds to your teeth to help mineralize and fight cavities
Fluoride is a very mediocre bandaid to high carb/grain diet. Should just maintain prolonged saliva contact (less frequent drinking) and using nano hydroxyapatite before bed without spiting it out.
This will be interesting to hear. I have a diet for nearly two years based on Dr. Saladino's recommendations, and more recently I've been following Dr. Ellie Phillips teeth care method for 6 months with good results, however, I wonder about the amount of flouride I may be consuming.
I too just started Dr. Ellie’s tooth care method almost 2 months ago with noticeable results, but questioned the fluoride aspect of use, and that’s what drew me to this video while scrolling . Now I need to do more research because she did say that fluoride is only toxic when it’s ingested by swallowing it, and that the fluoride in tooth products is sodium fluoride and only 0.2% so it’s different. My teeth do feel and look much whiter following her routine than they ever have after getting a professional cleaning. I have to say the only thing that’s been hard is the listerine rinse!! Talk about “ feel the burn!” 😬
@@LeonaRiley266 I agree about the Listerine burn lol. I understand the purpose of it is to kill off the bad bacteria (strep mutants) and stop the damage process of the enamel. I had a tooth pulled last year after not having been to the dentist in 15 years. I've been on Dr. Phillips teeth care program for 6 months now. The big issue is not snacking and sipping all day. Mineral rich salvia during the day helps your teeth repair so we shouldn't be interrupting that process with the snacking and sipping (even water) all dang day.

Question. What are the safe toothpastes I can use for brushing my teeth, that don’t have any fluoride alcohol etc in them that could be damaging my body. Also what mouthwashes should I be using that are alcohol and fluoride free and free of any other toxins?
@@christophermd216 Why so? Generally curious. Depleting? I guess I can understand taste but water isn’t about taste. It is about hydration. So you like the taste of chemicals and plastic? Does RO get everything out? It has to leave something. No?
@@vrilgod4176 Yeah. Would definitely rinse it out a few times first as this pitcher (and most others) will have some residual microplastics. Cold water doesn't pick up plastics too much, fortunately.
I've been using Berkey fluoride filters for four years now, I was completely unaware they added aluminum into the water. How much longer do I have to live now?
Fluoride is found naturally in the ground. Rocks release fluoride overtime. Is he talking about synthetic fluoride that’s added to city water or fluoride in general?
When I do shower it's completely cold water no matter what time of year it is, the cold water closes your pores which means less absorbed toxins. After the shower I poor a gallon on filtered water over my head.
They definitely shouldn’t put Fluoride in the water, and often just use it to mask a high processed sugar diet. But it comes from Fluorine and in low enough concentration can be converted to a trace element your body uses, fluorine. I use a Brita, and pour 3/4 Spring water I harvest myself, to 1/4 Tap water to stretch out the spring water a bit, so I get a 75% reduction in Fluoride concentration I feel is Ok…. Brita’s are OK depending on what water source you’re using, low Fluoride, low Nitrates.
I have been doing the same. Amazing coincidence. Water storage and hygiene is especially important, and the brita filters need to be changed more often than stated on the packaging
@@maxwentworth4391 In order to make that statement, you’d have to know which region I was in, as different regions use different levels. Of course it’s 25% of the small amount they use, not 25% of the water total, but I’m sure you meant that. Hopefully, it is low enough, but I guarantee it is better than a full dose…
Flouride is dumped into the water system it is a byproduct at many factories so there is a huge surplus of it. That is how its in the water they dispose of it there and we are the filters.
My running theory is and call me crazy if you’d like, I’m sure someone will argue their point but what if the chlorine in town water supplies is causing more harm than good with cancer rates in young adults on the rise it makes me wonder. Also how do these chemicals affect hormone production which, could that affect a persons mood in anyway..? Depression, or how bout sexuality. Dox me if you want but it’s my curiosity that drives me to question these things. Everyone is talking about fluoride but what about chlorine and other chemicals in town water supplies?
When I visited the united states I was very happily surprised that I can get water for free at any restaurant. And then I realized that water is poisoned. Feels really unreal, because when I drink tap water here (Germany), it is perfectly fine, better tested than any water you buy at the store. No flouride. As the guy in the video said, I'd really like to know what genius had the idea to poison your drinking water...
Yeah i agree 100% I lived in the city for one year and I knew the water was poison so I didn't use it for anything other than a shower because no other option but we got a letter saying don't drink the water because it will make you infertile and or cause birth defects .
I have never heard that about the Berkey filter system, do you have proof of that by chance? Berkey themseves says that allegation is not true but they are obviously biased.
About a year (or two) ago some guy on YT made several videos on Berkey and ended up even suing them. He did some research on the filter, Berkey's testing etc and shared all findings. The videos are still up and the Texas boys homestead (or something) also covered this man's story on their channel.
Fair, My comment was lacking a lot to it. Specifically the differences between the toxicity of Natural occurring fluoride vs the fluoride they put in tap water. And specifically the transdermal differences. RO for drinking water is easy, but a whole house is costly. And yes I have googled this but finding anything very definitive is difficult, so why not ask the experts?@@christophermd216

Yep. Even decent dentists specify what type of fluoride is beneficial versus 98% of what's sold in toothpaste today, and is sourced from tin.
wtf are you talking about
@@BBAERSTANCE1 their comment is very clear. Try reading it again.
::: Totally! Naturally occurring fluoride is always safely bound to another element, different horse than the free radicals.
One important thing you forgot to mention about R/O water is that you must remineralize the water before drinking. If you drink too much R/O water with nothing in it, it will rob you of your minerals as your body processes it.
They DID mention that actually
Hello Paul can you make a video on citric acid? i dont know if its good or bad
Thanks for discussing fluoride. I learned a lot.
Straight up facts.......
thanks for the clip
I brush with baking soda and peroxide. I have a little container I mix it up in two times a day.
Try adding coconut oil and peppermint ecential oil to that mix
Saw this yesterday...
Thanks for telling me things i want to hear, fluoride bad, bottled water good.
Bottled water is awful. It chock full of plastic and chemicals
the original studies showing a decrease in IQ (esp in girls) were done in China and were never considered until recently
We've been using a Clearly Filtered pitcher the past year or so and have been pretty satisfied with it. I know it filters out fluoride and chlorine as well as many other things, but would be interested to hear if anyone has any thoughts on it.
Why no link to the study, can we get one please?
Soooo should I just throw my Berkley filter out? Is it just not good at filtering stuff or is it actually more harmful? I guess I should test the water myself to know for sure.
Also reverse osmosis seems also just like another filter.
Water filters like Brita don’t do anything. Stay away from filter machines instead look into reverse osmosis water systems. That will ensure the water is actually being filtered.
He uses echo filters , what water ro system do you recommend?
In 2016 I had to do a college research project on a topic for a critical thinking class, and I chose fluoride because it was controversial at the time. Conclusions were bad as it was a neurotoxin and reduced iq in some studies. My personal belief though is that fluoride is good for your teeth but I don’t know how effective it is. It is horrible to ingest though. The way fluoride works is that it binds to your teeth to help mineralize and fight cavities
My question 🙋♂️ for you is do you use Fluoride? And you think we should. I really appreciate your feed back. Thank you for your comment 👍
You don't need 'good for your teeth fluoride' when you eat a natural diet of meat, raw dairy and raw honey.
Fluoride is a very mediocre bandaid to high carb/grain diet. Should just maintain prolonged saliva contact (less frequent drinking) and using nano hydroxyapatite before bed without spiting it out.
I use toothpaste maybe once a month for most of my life. I'm 37 now and have very healthy teeth. No cavities. just water brush.
How come once a month?
@BigWilba if I go camping, hiking, offroad trip and there are other people... then ill just use some toothpaste to avoid people asking why I didn't.
So if you buy an RO filter for your drinking water, but you still shower in fluoride, do you even see a benefit?
How does the carbon brick from Berkey put aluminum in the water? I never see one without the fluoride removing carbon bricks
This will be interesting to hear. I have a diet for nearly two years based on Dr. Saladino's recommendations, and more recently I've been following Dr. Ellie Phillips teeth care method for 6 months with good results, however, I wonder about the amount of flouride I may be consuming.
I would not follow Dr.Ellie Philipps. She recommends Xylit for teeth brushing, also for little children. Xylit can damage the gut.
@@PeCo333 I've heard that as well, however it doesn't seem to be causing me any distress, it's small amount and even if you eliminate the xylitol her recommendations will still be beneficial. She provides the best dental science practices and truth for free.
hydroxiapatite toothpaste.
Correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t fluoride a by product of aluminum?
it's discussed in the video, answer is yes
@@MATTINCALI aluminum is toxic

Dr bronners
Back in the day in elementary school we had to swish with floride multiple times in a span of time crazy
What about distilling? What makes RO better as it is still a filter. Distillation is basically pure.
The worst kind of drinking water, it's depleting and tastes like shit..
@@christophermd216
Why so? Generally curious. Depleting? I guess I can understand taste but water isn’t about taste. It is about hydration. So you like the taste of chemicals and plastic? Does RO get everything out? It has to leave something. No?
from what I understand, distilled has no electrolytes. So it depletes your electrolytes when you consume it.
I’ve seen some that say that is bogus.
Agree about toxicity of fluoride, but the good news is that Zero Water (widely available) filters out fluoride.
Filter it with the plastic jug. Ironic
@@vrilgod4176 Yeah. Would definitely rinse it out a few times first as this pitcher (and most others) will have some residual microplastics. Cold water doesn't pick up plastics too much, fortunately.
Yup, that's what I use and it's just as good as more expensive ones.
Zero Water is cheap and does not filter fluoride past the first couple of uses. ‘Truth about Fluoride’ has tested Zero Water.
@@ec8888Zero Water is cheaper because it doesn’t work, send your ‘filtered’ water to a lab and the results will show it’s still full of fluoride.
Does distillation remove Floride?
I've been using Berkey fluoride filters for four years now, I was completely unaware they added aluminum into the water. How much longer do I have to live now?

Fluoride is found naturally in the ground. Rocks release fluoride overtime. Is he talking about synthetic fluoride that’s added to city water or fluoride in general?
Yes, and it is important to clarify and specify.
What are the outcomes of having Fluoridated water baths ? ? ?
I looked into this and it doesn’t seem like solute fluoride is trans-dermal but PLEASE do your due diligence as with anything else
@@DrewishBear Always Do. Thank You
My dentist nearly fainted when I told her I use a fluoride free toothpaste

What about distilling your water, is that ok
When I do shower it's completely cold water no matter what time of year it is, the cold water closes your pores which means less absorbed toxins. After the shower I poor a gallon on filtered water over my head.
Cold showers are good but seems a bit much, get a filter
75% reduction is not good enough. 25% fluoride is still far too high.
The majority of filters for fluoride, except RO and distilled, use activated alumina in the filter. I wouldn't want that in my water!
What about naturally occurring fluoride in water?
they gave it to kids in schools in the 90 s in nb canada
So where do I get my safe water from?
you MUST have a water filtration system installed for your house. or under the sink with a separate faucet
What about how nano hydroxyapatite crossing the blood brain barrier?
What can you do about it?.. besides they stop that! cause no one wants to know why or even ask who¿
When I visited the united states I was very happily surprised that I can get water for free at any restaurant.

What about naturally occurring Fluoride in well water? Are these similar in chemical make up?
Google bro lol but yeah pretty sure they are two different classifications
Fair, My comment was lacking a lot to it. Specifically the differences between the toxicity of Natural occurring fluoride vs the fluoride they put in tap water. And specifically the transdermal differences. RO for drinking water is easy, but a whole house is costly. And yes I have googled this but finding anything very definitive is difficult, so why not ask the experts?@@christophermd216
ZeroWater filters do completely remove fluoride and everything else from tap water, but they're about twice the price. Otherwise shop around at water stores and buy one of those simple water testers that test for any impurities, which comes with all Zero Water pitchers.

Google says it can increase the amount of fluoride.
No. You can't remove hardly any chemical contaminants by boiling.

I don't suggest doing that on your own teeth but hey, you do you.
They began putting fluoride in the water after they became nuclear testing- they had so much fluoride by product they had to do something with it. "I know lets say its good for teeth and put it in the water!"
Stopped using commercial toothpaste. Teeth look and feel better than ever. Stopped drinking poison water as well. Two good decisions.

And her teeth was completely rotted out from the inside of the gums, they had to perform oral surgery. And she never ate candy. I wonder how that happened?
I believe the initial study was with NATURAL occurring calcium flouride.
