    Awesome video I am a retired holistic doctor that has been carnivore for over 25 years. 25 years ago I was vegan and Very unhealthy And overweight. I went carnivore 99% and I am super healthy. Now I raise all of my food. I have a ranch in the ozarks and I raise cows, goats, turkey's, chicken, ducks And I also hunt! I eat all of the animals organs except for the brain. Every single client that I have ever had that has gone carnivore has changed their health from bad to excellent!! This was an excellent informative video thank you very much!!

    Whole foods tried restricting how much meat I could buy at a time during the plandemic - so I got a deep freeze and started buying in bulk from a local rancher and never looked back. The industrialization & corporatization of our food sources is the root of the problem anyway. Know where your food comes from.

      @nickwojtow6787 2 роки тому +31

      True, but you have to know exactly how the “local” rancher feeds his animals. People tend to think all farmers are honest. Many are not. Go to the ranch and see how he raises them and walk the pastures. At this point, if I was marketing any type of meat I would have mine tested in a lab with actual amounts of certain fats and minerals, toxic residues etc. That’s really what we need to start seeing in the meat industry.

    This is legit the most helpful content. Make it high level science in some videos. Then make it real with videos like this and other "a day in the life of" videos. These are the different options I like for breakfast/lunch/dinner would be good. What you do when eating out with friends. What about when company comes over. How big is your freezer? Do you mainly eat steaks vs some ground etc. Just the most mundane day to day stuff and keep it real. Do you actually do bone broth and chew on some bones from your ninja pressure cooker or do you buy that stuff.
    Keep up the good content.

      I've seen similar with cheeses in the US lately.
      I'm pretty sure they're using "past" as short hand for "pasteurized", and "pasture" for being made from pastured milk. Counting on customer confusion and assumptions.
      I'd wager they stopped saying "grass fed", due to legal definitional issues, such as the dairy cows were being fed grains, silage, or other methods in the winter.

    Great video, thank you! Wish you had gone more into cheese and yogurt. Also, is the tallow in Firestarter different than the tallow in the Epic beef tallow? Can I just do a spoonful of beef tallow from the jar instead? Seems like pricewise this would be better, although it is nice to have jelly beans on the go.

    Regarding histamine-sensitivity being a gut issue, it was in my case. My histamine-sensitivity was so bad that it landed me in the hospital overnight--I had passed out at 3 a.m. and my husband couldn't rouse me, so 911 to the hospital and I was there for half an hour before I fully regained consciousness. Turned out that my histamine intolerance had caused a severe drop in blood-pressure to the point that I'd passed out. I suspected (due to other symptoms) that I'd developed SIBO and that the bacteria that were living in my small intestine, where they don't belong, were producing histamine which, combined with naturally-ocurring histamines in foods, plus histamine that a person's own body produces naturally, resulted in more histamine than my nody could handle. I stopped eating yogurt (used to eat it by the quart), switched to a carnivore diet, and supplemented with DAO capsules and with gall bladder enzymes. I totally fixed my problem (took less than a month) and can now eat whatever I want! Hope this helps someone because histamine-sensitivity is awful and, as in my case, can be scarey dangerous.

    • @joanblack6672
      @joanblack6672 2 роки тому

      @@jwallace6913 I take a brand called, Seeking Health and the product is "Histamine Block". Each capsule is "4.2 mg of porcine [i.e. pork] kidney extract"; it also contains a small amount of vitamin C. In the beginning, because I was so scared, I would often take 2 per meal (depending on what I was eating) but usually only 1 and now none at all. It's very effective for histamine in the food that you're eating but can do nothing against histamine-releasing foods, i.e. foods that cause your body to release histamine, e.g. chocolate and red wine. But now I can have chocolate or red wine without a problem and without taking anything--had a glass of red wine last night with no problem . I have stayed away from yogurt just as a personal precaution because the bacteria in yogurt, the bacteria that turn milk into yogurt, produce histamine themselves! I consider myself to be totally cured but I keep a wary eye out!

    Hi Paul great video and really good information. there was one thing that made me chuckle, the way you pronounce Maldon sea salt. The emphasis is on the A rather than the O ;-). It is a small seaside town about an hour away from where I live. It is basically on the North sea which is very polluted and a busy shipping channel between the east of England and The Netherlands. So I am not sure how healthy it is
    I personally prefer French Atlantic seasalt which is usually grey and slightly wet. It still might have some pollution but far less since it is harvested from the ocean.

      After a couple of years on straight carnivore, he found that he was lacking electrolytes, so now includes fruit, and says he feels better. But he fails to exclude or even mention the high oxalate ones I've noticed, e.g. berries. (Blueberries are low BTW. He hates coffee, but it's actually low in oxalates although he says it's high. Refer Sally Fallon's website in her blog section).
      He studied raw honey after staying with the Hunza. It really is quite amazing and high in nitric oxide (improves vasodilation, maintains optimal flow of blood, oxygen and nutrients through the vessels, and boosts brain and mitochondrial function, which all prevent a host of other ailments).Blood sugar only raises a little and for a short period.

      The evidence can be conflicting if taken to the extreme. Take Dr. Chris Knobbe's presentation at Low Carb Down Under for example. He blames PUFAs for many diseases that the keto world does, e.g. heart, obesity, cancers, Insulin resistance... (at 32:30), while showing 2 groups of islanders eat lots of carbs yet not prone to these illnesses in the 1970s, prior to westernization / modernization.
      Another interesting note from the same presentation is that the Maasai's caloric intake comes roughly 66% from animal fat and 17% from carbs (at 21:45). So Paul's current diet somewhat corresponds to the Maasai's.

    Dr Paul is bang on about everything.
    Water has to be stored in clay, copper , silver vessels or at the least steel. These metal containers should be changed with the seasons (every 3 months) . There are certain times when water shouldn’t be consumed , Also the right temperature of water matters a lot in digestion and absorption of nutrients.

      Yeah, sardines seem to be low in mercury compared to other big fish, but unfortunately they test high for arsenic. But I see that there is debate in toxicity of arsenic found in food... In food
      For most people, food is the largest source of arsenic, although much of this is likely to be in the less dangerous, organic form. The highest levels of arsenic (in all forms) in foods can be found in seafood, rice, rice cereal (and other rice products), mushrooms, and poultry, although many other foods, including some fruit juices, can also contain arsenic.
