- Showing you how to open up the scion frs / Subaru BRZ / Toyota gt86 first generation tail lights.
These rear tail lights are plastic welded so they have to be cut open and welded back up and then properly sealed.
here are the tools that we use to cut and seal the tail lights back up:

Thank you so much for this vid dude! Just made my life so much easier! I'm working on my first set of this style of lights, so was a bit nervous. Have mostly done early 90s lights that are much easier to split :-)
Your other vids and IG posts have helped me lot too!
This is what I needed bro…. I messed mine up so bad putting it back
oh no! I hope you can save them!
I found this video helpful. I have one question. What is wrapped around the white part of the hot knife?
Sequential squad gang😎
Aye!! SSG
Just order a Milwaukee oscillating tool. I'll see how that does this weekend on a set for the Scion Xb Sonar taillights.
Nice!! That will make it go by quick!
How did you get the broken hearts?
Would you do Focus ST lights?
We can!
I have that same ultrasonic cutter and mine absolutely sucks! I pretty much never use it because it never seems to really get the job done. Any tips on getting it to work better?
thats the worst! I found that if you keep it on the charger while you use it helps. also found that if you drill some holes in the blade handle to let out some heat that helps a little bit as well. Unfortunately the battery powered ones just have a very low shut off compared to the plug in style.
@@zaccook thanks! Good to know. I have the battery powered one. Thing was expensive too and I don’t even bother trying to use it anymore
Why do these need to be cut apart instead of warming up the lens adhesive on other taillights?
there is no adhesive, they are plastic welded
do you know the ig of the owner? Really curious to see how these look on car!
I do not 😑, we talked over email so i never got the ig and ge never sent pictures 😅
