  • Two common ways to cut open tail lights are Multi Tools and Dremels.
    There's generally NO WAY TO OPEN TAIL LIGHTS, because the plastic is welded shut.

      Are there no videos about F150 lights? I literally have zero content for that platform, but I bet somebody who does would make it.

      well, he will not tell you, until you pay for a course and then you will have the answer. that's how marketing works. and men, those courses are not cheap

    I'm curious, why not bake apart or use a heat gun to separate housing and lens? Are newer tail lights different in construction? I know you definitely know what you're doing man, haha, just genuinely curious.

    • @flyryde
      @flyryde  3 роки тому +7

      Yeah dude, if they were sealed like headlights, by no mean would there be any point in cutting them open. These are in dumb speak, melted shut. Technically they're either friction welded or ultrasonic welded shut. Heat wont do anything but melt stuff that shouldn't melt.

      @@flyryde Thanks for the info! I was watching this while trying to take apart a spare S10 tail light I had and learned the hard way. I have a set of very rare "oem clears" I need to open and now that I know this it's a bit more daunting of a task.

      I had watched his video on separating headlights a couple times and decided to do my tail lights first. I put them in the oven for seven minutes and then another five and couldn’t get them apart. Then found this video and comment 💀💀💀😂

  • @jccars9400

    What can't you put the tail lights in the oven or use a heat gun. What's the difference from the way headlights and tail lights are made?

    • @flyryde
      @flyryde  3 роки тому

      Headlights typically aren’t friction welded shut, tail lights typically are.

    Heat gun and you can just separate the back from the front when done heat up again and stick the right back together or use a little Gasket maker I use the grey right stuff to do mine but it’s a lot better than cutting to me but this is on way to do it I guess
