When you order tail lights from Japan and other foreign countries the brake light pins and turn signal pins may be switched around. I installed Valenti tail lights and nearly burnt them out because I didn't know about the pin lights. There are tutorial on UA-cam you can follow if you need to change the pin assignment.

does the bar im assuming the battery of some sort get hot and smoke or do i have a bad pair? I was smelling it then checked them and they are smoking. Just purchased a pair of the site.

The tightening torque for nuts and checking rubber gaskets needs to be mentioned in this video. Otherwise we end up with condensation in tail lights

@s y I think the Torque is 4 NM which is very low. If you overtighten the nuts , then water will leak into either the lights or into your boot.

Be careful. Insure that the light fits tightly and inspect the gasket. Once water gets in you're screwed hah.

Brake kits!
I recommend using a sealer to seal the gasket tonthe tail light. Otherwise, there is a good chance you will get condensation in the light.

The plug isn't coming out easy. Are you supposed to squeeze it from the sides? I'm worried I'm going to break the wire if I just yank it out
