I’m just about to become an XF owner at age 20 (mum’s has been kept away until I can insure it) and seamless music experience is a must for me, definitely ordering the Invery 😆
Update again after sometime using the new equipment. We had a two hour drive last night and enjoyed the Bluetooth the whole way. Game changing. Thanks again
Well , I must thank you for the info , I just bought an XK 2009 and of course no music bluetooth. On your recommendation, I bought the Invery and voila !!! Great sound playing Amazon music 😁 ! Update: the box DOES contain a USB cable. Thank you so much :)
I just installed this into my 2010 build XF Portfolio. All I can say is... WOW!. It came up as soon as I plugged it into the IPOD socket straight out of the box (I was using the Jag IPOD cable before so maybe that's why). Also, I did not have to use the USB connector as my IPOD connector socket power worked perfectly. All Apple Music Subscription and local Library), Audible, Podcast and MP3 apps all worked perfectly. All controls in the car worked well too (if not better than via the cable). Thanks heaps for this advice!!😁😁
Thanks Greg. I found it so great that I just had to share it with everyone. It's the reason I take the time to make these. Thanks for letting me know about the socket power. It might have just been our car as it works without it in our 2010 Range Rover. Ed
The cheaper version wont work if you don't have an aux socket. ie the 2008 Jaguar xk omitted the aux socket for some reason. I found this our when I purchased one.
Your two XF vids I’ve watched this morning have been great. I’m picking a 2010 a portfolio up this week. Quick q, does the invery show track data when using Spotify? I see in your vid it does UA-cam, just wanted to check!
I have a XKR 2010 and having a nightmare with sound quality when trying to use the 30 pin connector & bovee to stream. radio & CD’s sound absolutely fine tho
I can’t think of a reason why it wouldn’t work as it should. I’m not familiar with the Bovee exactly but can only assume it’s almost identical to the Invery. Sorry I can’t help further. Ed
I purchased an old iPod from ebay £26 then the lead £7.99 as the iPod is old it has the same technology as the car both work perfectly and even gets the power from the car all hidden away in the arm rest also because it’s hardwired not Bluetooth the sound quality is better
I have a 2009 xf and I bought the invery but it's not playing sound in my car. I see a phone icon with a slash through it. Not the wifi signal bars. Do you have any solutions?
@Back Road Hero I'm powering it with the car charger outlet with a USB cable. I think my USB isn't working or possibly the fuse for it isn't good. I have it on the ipod
If the iPod dock is powering your Invery then there’s no need for the extra power cable. You must connect your phone to the hands free first before pairing with the Invery. Try changing track on the steering wheel to force a track change and make sure that the Bluetooth volume is turned up on your phone. Ie increase the volume on your phone when you’re playing a song. Some Android phones are known to have connection issues so try an iPhone if you have one. Ed
Does the envery item work with jaguar XKR (x150 2007-2008) models?? Im glad you showed me about the other usb cable! Im considering xkr 2008 as next purchase so would be good to know if it works on them too. Great vid thank you!
Ours was a 2006 and it didn’t have the iPod input you need for the Invery. If yours has an aux in then there are options using a 3.5mm audio cable. This was a factory or dealer fit option which is no longer available through Jaguar. Hope this helps. Ed
Just got the Invery today came with the USB Cable works a treat thank you 🙏
Glad I could help. Ed

Glad to help Elliot. It really makes a difference to the infotainment experience as the existing amps are really good.
Follow up: The Invery arrived from Amazon. I plugged it in and it worked great. Thanks again
Awesome James. It really modernises the car. Glad to have helped. Ed

This video was a big help I just ordered the Invery. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for this. Just managed to pick one up for £57 in their sale.
Glad to help. Ed

Glad I could help. It’s the main reason I do this. Thanks Joel for letting me know. Ed

You’re very welcome. Ed
Thank you thank you thank you 🙏 it’s like having a new car now 👍 all the best
So glad you found this useful. This is exactly why I share on UA-cam. Ed

To be honest I’ve never used Spotify but there’s no reason why it shouldn’t. Shows track name when playing Apple Music. Thanks for watching. Ed

We’re can I buy the cheapest one I want to play music in my car with my phone I have a 2009 xf jag
Links are in the description
Would this work with the 2009 jaguar x type? With the same ipod, connector in the arm rest?
There’s no reason why it shouldn’t. Ed

Same here ,works a treat!

Are you powering it with the extra lead into the usb? Also you need to play it through the iPod icon. Ed
@Back Road Hero I'm powering it with the car charger outlet with a USB cable. I think my USB isn't working or possibly the fuse for it isn't good. I have it on the ipod
@Back Road Hero also the ipod dock is powering my invery bluetooth. I am connected to it with my phone

Ah so when viewing one check if its got the ipod pin and aux in the centre cubby then? Thanks!
The later ones should have one. The earlier ones with the mod I believe have a 3.5mm ‘aux in’ in the glove box.
I need help
Thankx sir really help full viedio
Glad to help. It’s why I do this. Ed
just plug a ssd drive in the usb with all you mp3 files and you can use all the controls on stering whell
No usb that I know of.
Loks interesting - but does the Invery work with Android phones please?
Yes it should do. It’s just a Bluetooth receiver that fools the car into thinking that an iPod is plugged in. Ed
Would thia work for an 07 xk?
Check if you have the iPod 30 pin receptacle in the central armrest. Ed
Will this work on 2007 XK ??
Only if you have the iPod socket and enabled in the stereo. Ed
but why , I just connect phone to the car via bt and you can play yt all day , don t need accesories ...
What year is it? Later cars are ok. The early ones need this as no Bluetooth streaming possible. Ed
