I picked up an XFR just two days ago. Your timing on releasing this video could not have been more helpful. I do most of my own vehicle work and one must always learn one's way around a new car. Yours has been the best of several videos detailing what to look for and what to expect as a new XFR owner. Thank you very much! I'll watch Viezu's approach to this particular vehicle with real interest. I would love to upgrade the power while still keeping the Jag tractable for everyday driving.
Hi Chuck, Absolutely thrilled to hear about your recent purchase of your XFR! We would absolutely love to help you along your performance journey. If you can drop me an email at info@viezu.com and we can discuss further through the upgrade options available. Kind regards, Elle
This car is probably the best deal out there, you can't buy many cars with 510 horsepower for under $20,000 in the United States, this is an incredible deal, whatever money you save from buying a brand new car, you can put in Maintenance in an xfr and make it perfect! Make sure you get the upper pulley and a tune you can bring the horsepower up to 575 easy
Well presented video and very informative, one thing worth mentioning is the battery, these cars can throw up lots of electrical gremlins if the battery isnt kept in tip top condition, mine is hooked up to a ctek at all times
Had my XFS for almost 3 years now. Being the V6 diesel the first job was timing belt. Although it only had 65k miles it was over 10 years old and Waaay past change time! A remap brought me up to 325hp and almost 700Nm of torque. Not XFR territory for sure but doing over 1400 miles a month means I just can't justify the V8, not when I've got my Corvette anyway! Wheels are made of cheese. 5 cracks, 3 repaired, 2 replacement used wheels. I don't think any of my wheels are 100% round, bloody UK roads. Other than that I love it! Would still like a late XFR or R-S though with a bit of Viezu magic on it. One day....
I had my XFR for a good 8 years now, & the major issues i have had, was the supercharger coupler needed repairing. It has had some coolant leaks, but nothing to big & major. I only do 500 miles yearly, so the car is well looked after, i have done so much work on it, to maintain that high standards. But the only thing i struggle to find in Bristol, is a good independent garage, that has good experience on working on Jaguars, that's the only thing that really worrys me.
Hello, Many thanks for your comment. Unfortunately this is some the issues that these beautiful cars can have! We are based in Bidford On Avon, Warwickshire so overall not too far from Bristol and we are an independant specialist in JLR (it is definitely our bread & butter!) and we would love to complete any maintenance work or performance upgrades on your XFR. Drop me an email at info@viezu.com I look forward to hearing from you. Elle
