The amulet effects are same regardless of who wears it. The amulet protects but since it’s from hell from my understanding is that the effects are immoral. They both still get prolonged life but he obviously hasn’t had it long enough for us the audience to notice. What the amulet did to the guards is the same effect as when Ethel protected herself from the Corinthian. The reason we did not see blood when she used it on the is that he is a nightmare and has no blood to leave behind.
Johanna really is the substitute for John. I didn't realize until now that the place from her nightmares may be Newcastle. I recently watched City of Demons, a DC animated movie and John's biggest regret in there was losing a girl named Astra to a Demon that threw her into a portal to hell in a place called Newcastle. And that's exactly what happens here with the same girl. If anyone already knew this, please go easy on me, I didn't really know any back story about Constantine until that movie

@@firstlast9846 they made a comment noticing a few black characters being killed. My intent was to assure the fellows death is universal and not just for minorities in this show.
