hi, nice setup, top video, one question? what is u wheel settings and game settings of GT7, i would like to try it because i can't find good wheel settings for simagic alpha u yet.
I normally play in VR. This was just something I jury rigged. Normal monitor mounts from TrakRacer/NLR etc don't seem to support the VESA 300x300 so I was just going to get a cabinet for it. Plus the motion set up kinda limits how close I can get the display
@@doggiehowzer How well does VR in GT7 work with the SR2 Motion? Does it move around so much that move out of your play area and you see the black screen and green bars? I know there is no motion compensation available for consoles so I was wondering what effect this has on the experience??
@@tomwatkins9490 the SR2 range of motion does not appear to be an issue when I play on the PSVR2. At home if I dont enable motion compensation with my NLR Motion Platform v3, I will end up getting super nauseous. I did see a reviewer tape up the inside out cameras to get around lack of motion compensation.
@@walshja81 GT7 (as did GT Sport) broadcasts telemetry over IP. Some apps already use it to activate shakers and also dash displays like SimHub. SimRig software is able to read this telemetry to control the motion actuators
@@popa_wheel2261 I am still figuring out how best to configure the wheel. It seems out of the box, I am just dialing down the forcefeedback/torque levels on the Alpha u to about 40-50%. When I try to change other parameters, I tend to stuff up and end up with massive oscillations. Oh, Im using the Sigma Cortex Converter.
Have you tried other dd set ups on the ps5? How does this compare? Having an inner battle on which route to take. Limited logitech or converted 3rd party
@@popa_wheel2261 I have been using the Podium DD Formula for Playstation wheelbase on my original system. i think it is one of the things that Boosted Media said about Fanatec.. and it is how they feel relatively good/OK/correct out of the box. You can of course tweak them further but they wont feel wrong out of the box. And maybe it is my age but I find discussion topics/stickys on Fanatec's community forum tend to make it easy for me to find a recommended setting from Fanatec for my wheelbase and a particular game. Other users then contribute their own suggestions on how best to tailor them for their needs. Searching Discord for SImagic seems messier and it is a lot of user contributed settings which can be hit/miss. But even in a few days, I have managed to get something that works well enough that I am getting the same timings as when playing on my Fanatec wheel. I think the Simagic 10Nm Mini looks better constructed than the CSL DD 8Nm tho it seems Fanatec has dropped the price on the CSL DD to compensate now.
not from what I can tell. I have been using it in VR and if there is a disconnect, it would be quite nauseating. So far so good. I think my seat mover may be a tad faster but that's cos it is moving only the seat rather than the full cockpit so it is a small trade off to getting 3DOF

Still experimenting but I posted some settings I used on Reddit
I think would really benifit to move the tv closer

@@doggiehowzer Excellent, thanks for clarifying. Just on PS5 at the moment but once I buy a PC, SR2 or RS Mega will be next....

Where does the motion rig get the telemetry?

How are you using sim magic on ps5?
Read the description.
Thanks! @ShonnDaylee wonder if this is the way to go instead of logitech pro wheel or fanatec gt dd

Is there any latency?

hi, latency is 1ms
