Guys this is my last upload I had in the vault b4 the headphones hope you enjoy back to rocking out Monday !!!!!!! Don’t forget to like the video🙂
My heart is broken. Please return as soon as possible.
Remember The Verve - bittersweet symphony
Another good one Brother. SRV to me, is the best. Some may argue Jimi. No need to argue. I just perfer SRV. You Da Man!!
Mr. Video, you should check out SRV playing "Look At Little Sister" with Jeff Healey. Jeff is blind and these two together rock out. Jeff was also the guitarist in the movie Roadhouse.
Mr.Video something happen to my comment im in no way saying it in a bad way. That just means alot to me. God bless you broh. It's still there just wanted you to see it.
Stevie is that dude that makes you want to learn to play and at the same time not even bother trying. He's so good it's disgusting.
💗 💖 💘 💝 💟
Thats a great description of SRV. It made me laugh!
I saw him live, twice. I couldn't even look at my guitar for a month afterward.... I didn't feel worthy of even touching it.
I was just thinking that I wish I could from watching him and Jimi Hendrix for the first time tonight on this channel.
Eric Clapton could only watch for 5 min. said if he'd had stayed he'd would have quit playing! BB KING thought he was black. said he was the darkest white man we ever saw.
when SRV died, I cried for weeks. He was a once in a lifetime guitarist / performer. I will never feel the music, like the way he made me feel it.
I think this is The most beautiful live guitar performance ever
I agree this one is special!
I'm a big SRV fan, but Gilmore's Comfortably Numb performance at Pulse... If you didn't hear it yet, I suggest you to Tube it :) Enjoy!
If you think is good, check out this version from Stevie.
ua-cam.com/video/OXj43xvDWyc/v-deo.html
Its awesome... but Riveria Paradise is my pick for most Beuatiful piece!
Yep. I’ve heard it countless times and it still brings a tear to my eye, the talent of the guy, the fact I never got to see him and the fact he ain’t here no more......
That guitar smoked a cigarette after that segment.
🚬🚬🚬
A whole pack
You know you're a GOAT when at your funeral you have Bonnie Raitt and Stevie Wonder singing "Amazing Grace".
Wow
Stevie done took yo breath, gave you turkey skin, stank face, got you all twisted out of shape, and left you wanting more 🙌🙌🙌🙌 Perfect The 🎸& Stevie are 1
I remember in an interview Stevie said it was Jimi Hendrix that made him want to learn the guitar. It shows! SRV is one of the few guitarist that did Jimi justice. It's not just that he's technical, he has soul. His playing is so mesmerizing and emotional that it brings tears to the eyes. The world lost such a great musician that terrible day back in August 1990. RIP SRV.
BTW - the one thing people may miss in this performance is Stevie uses a left hand bridge whammy bar on his Number #1 guitar. That's because Jimi had to use a right-handed bridge whammy bar because they didn't make one for left handed guitarist back in the 60s. That's how Stevie paid homage to Jimi's playing style. Now that's dedication to the craft!
You should check out ALBERT KING IN SESSION WITH STEVIE RAY VAUGHN doing "DON'T LIE TO ME " Albert was Stevie's godfather and they really admired each other. You will see it if you watch, you'll see Stevie's abilities to, he's never played that song but as Albert starts playing you'll see him pick up just by listening! It's a great session to watch 💜💜💜
Local blues band played Little Wing at my mother's funeral. She was a huge fan of Stevie and loved his music. We were surprised when they started singing the lyrics... but they were beautiful and impactful...
This is a Jimi Hendrix song and SRV kills it. Jimi did this song so well also. I miss both of them, their music was so good. Eric Clapton has called SRV the best guitar player in the world, he also gave that honor to Prince after SRV passed. SRV makes his guitar talk, outstanding! Don't be such a rookie, Mr. V., you gotta learn to let SRV go and deal with the stimulation overload. Clapton said SRV was a channeled guitar player who never made mistakes or got lost. That is high praise coming from the most technical of all guitar players. He is switching or making adjustments to his amps, adding fuzz tone.
Stevie Ray was such a special guitarist so special, absolutely breathtaking at times. Definitely sits at the top table for sure.A wonderful musician ☘
Mr. Eric Clapton has said, when he plays a guitar, he has to think about where he is going next on the neck, He has said that SRV did not have to do that, He Just Flowed, without thinking, This is coming from one of the worlds best guitar players, That Says It All, Eric Clapton gave up his seat on the helicopter that night to SRV, at Alpine Valley, because Stevie said he had to get back to Chicago Quick to do some Business, Eric complied, if he did not we would have lost Eric, It is a Cryin shame we lost anyone that night, RIP,.......
I'd trade Clapton for stevie.
Not even close.
@@jimbob465 Lol, I had to give you a Thumbs up for having the Balls to say it! I agree with you.
Man I love watching the younger generation experiencing the music I grew up on....keep up the great work young man!
When Stevie Ray Vaughan is played on your channel your views goes up.If you do Life Without You at the Capital Theater 1985 it is another mind blower. Just lost my dad and my brother this is our favorite. God bless. We are all military Dad army. Brother marine RIP, me marine SIMPER FI
That's the one where he talks in part of it, right? If so it's amazing. Such a powerful message he gave.
@@DMB088 yes that is the song, amazing song. He wrote that for his friend that died at a over dose. Sad deal.
💗 💖 💘 💝 💟... Just love your reactions!! (Esp. your SRV reactions!!! 💗 💖 💘 💝 💟)
God bless you, man. 🙏 Thank you and your family for your service to our nation 🙌💙🇺🇸🙌
This will be your first Xmas without your dad and brother? Play this again on Xmas eve with your headphones cranked, so the three of you can listen together. Stay strong.
Stevie didn't play music, Stevie was music. When people say that musicians made their guitar sing that was Stevie every song.
Out of HS my buddy was stationed down at Ft. Hood, not far from Austin. He reached out to me and told me he just saw the greatest guitar player in the world at a club in Texas. Within a year SRV blew up like crazy and everyone knew him. I saw him live 4 times including once with his brother. Sickest performances. My buddy got to see him b4 he was even famous. Im still jealous
I could listen to SRV play all day long. In fact, there have been days when I have.
You need to see him play Lenny.
Stevie Ray Vaughan - Lenny (from Live at the El Mocambo)
Easily my favorite of his. That woman must've been special.
YES, that and Riviera Paradise.
Epic!!! He’s the GOAT!!!
The El Macombo in Toronto Canada??
Starr Hartman yep
Stevie Ray went to someplace not on this earth when he played, and if you were lucky you got to go with him.
Guitarists of Stevie's otherworldly ability have mastered the techniques so perfectly, they don't have to think about what they're playing, they are actually speaking through their guitar. This is why they make the faces and shapes with their mouth, and often, if you pay attention, the mouth shape mimics the sound. A perfect example of this is at 04:01 when Stevie hits the wah pedal and we get a close-up of him, you can actually see his mouth silently say "wah wah wah wah". There's just so much to talk about when it comes to his playing, but I prefer to just get lost in the amazingness of it. 🎸😀
RIP Stevie 💔
I don’t ask much, but please...Tin Pan Alley with Johnny Copeland. You want to hear Stevie sing? Oh he be sangin on this one! ❤️
That video of SRV with Johnny is unbelievable.
@@tonymerritt7141 I can watch that performance over & over. It’s a masterpiece of the blues. So happy all the reactors are discovering the greats!
The best I have ever seen...100% the BEST I HAVE EVER HEARD AND SEEN......THE GUITAR IS PART OF HIM!!!
There'll NEVER be another brother like SRV.
Jimi Hendrix plays and sing Little wings. I love the lyrics and song!
SRV - Tin Pan Alley at Capitol Theater in 1985. That song has so much feel. It’s bluesy AF
Stevie played with such intensity, he was seen glueing his fingertips back on after the strings tore them off. No one will ever top this man
Stevie and Jimi were Great Friends! Stevie is actually using Jimi Hendrix's custom made wha wha pedal! His family gave it to Stevie because he was the O ly one who could do justice to Jimis music! Aside from being such good friends!
Another tid bit... Stevie had his whammy bar put on top like Jimi had his... even though Jimi actually played a right handed guitar left handed!
RIP to those 2 Greatest guitarist ever! Randy Rhoads is included! Okay... Top three!
The Best died young!
Probably the best guitar player ever! I can only imagine if he were still alive 😢
I personally believe STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN was just a very special Man with a God Gifted Talent that we are not meant to understand 💜 I've watched a lot of his documentaries and I've read articles about him and I think he knew from a very young age he was just meant to play the guitar. I read that as a little boy he slept with his guitar. He loved it so much. Very very few people are blessed like he was. To watch him and know how difficult he had his Guitar set up to play and to know he played with his fingertips literally glued back on!!!!! Just unreal. I LOVE STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN 💜 his life story is bone chilling. Thank you so much for your great SRV reactions much love to you brother 😘😘😘
I know I've said this before my brother, but Stevie Ray was 10 years older than me, and at 26, I could not have known, standing next to him playing that Stratocaster, breathing the same oxygen as him, how blessed I was!
And to think , he's only 27 here. The Greatest of All Time ! RIP brother , you are missed everyday !
This one he draws you in and hypnotizes you and then blows your mind I love watching people discover Stevie and his music each video is a new experience.
RIP SRV, for real. I remember exactly where I was when we heard on the radio he was in a helicopter crash. Gutted. And when you said “RIP SRV” in the video it hit home again. It’s cool he’s still getting the respect he obviously deserves. Thanks Mr. Video. ✌🏽
SRV is the ONLY celebrity that ever made me cry when he died. He was JUST getting started!
He was always my favorite, even early days when he was Boo'd at a blues festival in Canada.
I've disliked Canada ever since.
Me to. I was in Ft Worth at the time. Born and raised. Late that night the local radio DJ had a moment of silence before signing off. He then played Texas Flood and I shit you not, it started raining and I started crying.
@@derrickwood1908 I was driving & heard it on the radio.
Had to pull off the road, couldn't drive until I composed myself.
💗 💖 💘 💝 💟
That wasn't Canada that was Switzerland man
@@danimation777 YOU'RE CORRECT!
Thanks for the clarification!
Notice he rarely even looks at the guitar. The soul, technicality, difficulty and stage presence is what makes him the G. O. A. T. !! Period!
Checkout “Lenny” Live at El Mocambo!!
💗 💖 💘 💝 💟... I love all of your reactions... but esp. SRV & Jimi!! 💗 💖 💘 💝 💟 (I love it when you show the goosebumps on your arm!!!)
SRV has been known to play past what was to be the end of the concert. He has played so long that his callouses were coming off his fingers. He went back stage and found super glue and glued his callouses back on and continued to play.
If a man has ever looked at a woman the way he looks while playing his guitar she would be the luckiest woman ever.
He asked me if I had any super glue after a concert. I know I looked at him like he was crazy, then he explained. He was so humble and kind. I miss him.❤️Donna G
The 🐐!!! IT"s ⚡Brilliant!! 🤝💖✌
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ SRV is the master, watching him manipulate his guitar and take you with him on a journey, it's hypnotic, every note and tone washing through yourself body, you are now a follower, I bow to Stevie's unhinged talent 🤯🙏
Everything he did was so effortless. Just sort of flowed out of him. Amazing.
At times you can literally see Stevie soul transcend out of his body, the man is on another plane
What's amazing is that he takes a very famous song from an Icon (Jimi) and makes it his own. That and the fact that he almost never even looks at his guitar. What Jimi did was so unique, that no one could do it justice. Along comes SRV (RIP) and salutes Jimi with a homage. True Craftsmanship. Thanks Mr. Video
YESSSSSS SRV🎸 Theeee Greatest of ALL time 💯💯
The way he plays is not just something you learn, its from the inside for sure. All the emotion just flowing when he plays. Its an extension of himself basically. He doesnt think about it. He just does it
You said , I love you Stevie and I agreed. But this STEVE says I Love you to You . I never cried with laughter over your evaluation of Stevie V . You are the best and hope you do more of this man Stevie.
After many years listening to all sorts of genres..Stevie ray is the only one that instantly gives me the stank face. Just insane.
Stevie in charge...The Captain definitley will get his passengers everyone to guitar heaven ...no doubt....Ty brother
No matter what I'm doing, when this comes on the radio I still crank it up, stop and listen, my favorite song by him.
The only guy to really channel Jimi on these tunes! I wish Jimi was still here He'd Love Stevie!
Becomes even more magical when you know the original lyrics💖
"Well she's walking through the clouds
With a circus mind that's running round
Butterflies and zebras and moonbeams
And fairytales
That's all she ever thinks about
Riding with the wind
When I'm sad she comes to me
With a thousand smiles she gives to me free
It's alright, she said, it's alright
Take anything you want from me
Anything
Fly on, little wing"
Perfection. Continuing with SRV, definitely recommend Lenny, Life Without You from the Capitol Theater in '85, Tin Pan Alley, Riviera Paradise, Dirty Pool has such a dope beat and is underrated imo...I mean I recommend anything and everything lol, it's not like you can go wrong with anything he did😌💜
RIP STEVIE! THE MAN.
OMG.....I’m so glad you get it. The guitar it a literal extension on his body & soul.
Can I get an “AMEN”
Only Stevie Ray can make you sing along to a song with no lyrics!😂🤣🇨🇱✌️❤️
For those who don't know the lyrics that Mr. Vaughan so magnificently plays on his guitar:
Well she's walking, through the clouds
With a circus mind that's running round
Butterflies and zebras
And moonbeams
And-a, fairytales
That's all she ever thinks about
Riding with the wind
When I'm sad, she comes to me
With a thousand smiles she gives to me free
It's alright, she said, it's alright
Take anything you want from me
Anything, anything
Fly on, little wing
Amazingly, this was the first time he'd ever picked up a guitar. Just a natural....
I think when he plays he goes into another world then remembers, oh crap I'm doing a concert. Raw talent!!
Stevie has to be one of the best soloists of all time. Losing him was a terrible loss for music :(
SRV took Hendrix to another level. He made us all understand but he also made it his own.
This one is my favorite of all the SRV performances out there on video. This guy knows exactly what to do to get the exact sound he wants. Amazing.
Stevie & his guitar became one. Plain & simple.
I imagine that SRV knew every single possible sound that a guitar could make and just how to do it. And then in real time could bring all of that ability out with perfect timing and execution.
This man would play so much, that once his calluses would peel off while jamming, he would superglue them back on to continue playing. There will never be another SRV.
Plastic surgeons absolutely loved Stevie Ray Vaughan! Anyone that watched his guitar work long enough would inevitably end up with their face stuck in the "permanent stank face" position. It was just simply unavoidable.
God bless Hendrix for existing.
The only man who could ever truly cover Jimi Hendrix.
More Pentatonix, please. You might like their acapella cover of Bohemian Rhapsody!
I live in the Austin TX area and I know people who knew SRV. They've said he was such a sweet person, humble etc but was also head strong in a way.
We miss you Stevie!!!!
There's no denying Stevie Ray's skill, when it comes to playing guitar. But, just listen to Tommy Shannon's bass.
Tommy set the pace. And straight killed it every time he played. Gotta be a superstar bass player to be SRV's bass player.
Yes. all of them and Reese Wynans solis when he came into Double Trouble was amazing
i am a big fan of stu hamm :)
Outstanding bass player and drummer and they truly loved STEVIE that's why they played so well just following Stevie's lead. They are definitely over looked due to Stevie's unbelievable skills. Thank you for recognizing them💜💜💜
Lol, yup...I've always wondered how humble the REST of the men and women are that get up and play with musical prodigies, regardless of instrument. I don't play any instrument, but I'd suppose I'd consider myself lucky if I were in such a position. But, those like Hendrix and SRV weren't prodigies, they were inventors doin stuff never done before. And yeah...we ARE all lucky. RIP my brothers.
Stevie Ray Vaughan. And Albert king don’t lie to me
And born under a Bad sign!
Matias Mazzuferi yes
The G.O.A.T...No Man was, or is this good, it's not possible!!!!
It's hard to find words when witnessing this level of talent. I can only think of a few others that were this one with their guitar.
Jimi & Stevie were one with their music and guitar. The music just flowed out of them and anyone lucky enough to see them were blessed to witness the greatness. I got to see SRV once in 1987. I wish I wasn't so drunk and high to dull my memories of it...but anyway
It's so hard to watch you and him at the same time!!! He's incredible!!! RIP.. SRV
RIP. SRV. Effortlessly playing the guitar 🎸
It's damn hard taking your eyes off that man when he played. So blessed!
The thing about SRV is when he's playing it becomes and extension of his soul and body. He's amazing.
Stevie was touched by the hand of God.....R.I.P. bro,we miss you
If you want to see him play like crazy and sing Check out either life without you live at the Capital Theater or Tin Pan Alley with Johnny Copeland that one is a class in the blues either one you will love and looking forward to your reaction to either one.
Would love to see your reaction to some songs that Stevie wrote himself like Pride and Joy, Riviera Paradise, Lenny as well as others.
I agree with Lenny being a must hear. Video or not, it's worth the time.
I love how right after you talk about him adjusting strings, knobs, picks, etc. while playing, he immediately goes and starts adjusting his amp while playing
Best. Guitar. Player. Ever!!!
No, he didn't switch guitar at the end, he's playing with the amp feedback. BTW, he has a row of floor pedals for effects, notable a wah-wah. So he's playing, with his hands and his feet, while singing. GOAT.
He took last part from Hendrix's Castles Made of Sand
9:39
The funniest part: (after playing this song, changing tones multiple times, playing 8 notes or more in a second, literally, not missing a single note, and more amazing things my eye couldn't catch) ...oh and played one- handed to boot,
9:39
“...did he just walk up to his other guitars a take a different guitar...?”
“Did he change guitars?”
Love your vids, keep going!
A superb rendition of Jimi’s song. Can’t choose which is best. Such good stuff.
Stevie was always amazing live. But the Gods looked down and smiled on him that night.
So beautiful...that’s what makes him the best.
Please play Life Without You written for his friend Charley Wirz.
Any version of life without you is great when Stevie plays it but my favorite is the Capitol theater performance.
Yep. That song is the best song I ever heard and saw of any concert anywhere!
Best song ever
Yes!! Please play the Capitol Theatre version!!! Thanks!!!
@@conniehorton1981 Yes. That's exceptional.
This has been my favorite song for many many years. Still gives me goosebumps.
Brother when I was coming up in the early 80s... stevie was the man to replicate..... I was just happy to keep up when I was learning to play guitar
I was fortunate to see him many times. A spiritual experience for me each and every time. God takes the great ones way too soon
SRV perfected what Jimi created. SRV skills are insane, but Jimi was perhaps the most creative guitarist ever, also shines through in his lyrics. Jimi was more influential.
RIP Jimi Hendrix
RIP Stevie Ray Vaughan
Soul brothers
this is one of my favorites!
that guitar is sangin! he can make that guitar talk.....he IS the GOAT!
The best Hendrix cover ever. And just like Hendrix pure bluesman.
Check out the recorded version of this song. Stevie used an old tube amp and with headphones on you can hear the tubes buzzing.
RIP SRV! Definitely the Goat!!!!
SRV paying tribute to another all time great! The respect is real.
SRV is my #1!!!!! That was ridiculous!!!! LOVED IT
❤️ This song kills me. It's my favorite for road trips through the redwoods. It puts you in a trance. ❤️
