- 2005 Discovery 3 in for a handbrake fault...diagnostics showed an ignition supply fault code so out with the multimeter and soldering iron!
U just saved me a headache.. nice
Ive got a issue with my discovery 3 epb and some people are saying its wiring problem. Can you give some advice where i could start to look first please.. thanks
This might be helpful to someone....got given a d3 by a customer after his "mechanic " replaced the handbrake module because nothing would work after ,wouldn't start, wouldn't lock or unlock and the hazards came on with the ignition ....my diagnostic tool couldnt communicate with anything except body control module.....linked out the can bus cables to exclude the handbrake module and all ok
Nice repair...what did you clean the wire with ? Did you use extra wire loop for strength...? Great to see more videos ..Geoff
Geoff you can use wire wool or emery cloth to remove the corrosion abrasively - OR - even use a very mild acid such as vinegar for a few minutes and chemically remove the blackness. If you do that you really *must* neutralise the acid afterwards or it’s curtains for the rest of the loom 😅
The loop - yeah - extra strength to be honest...it avoids placing undue stress on the new soldered joints :)
Thanks for the message ☺️
hi where do you find the wiring diagram please
Hi buddy, which model multimeter is that please?
What code will that give please
