    Wish the new switch would've come on my Rein 3.0 that I bought just 2 months back. I'd prefer the buttons be a bit easier to press but they do work.

      I agree. The light is already pricey and then to have to pay for the new switch annoys me. I haven’t decided whether I’m going to replace the single switch yet, but i definitely hate it

    I was hoping they would use an aluminum switch mount like the LCS. The polymer mounts are junk and I’ve stripped out both of the ones I’ve had. Ended up just using the tail cap to actuate the light.

      I’m 28 but okay.. it’s plastic junk, even when it’s torqued down you can pop the whole mount off the rail with the previous version. There’s no reason they can’t make an aluminum version.

      Been using the CD poly switch mounts since they've been released. Never had one break and/or strip yet and they don't need to be overtightened to stay in place.. 15 inch-pounds is the recommended torque spec. Like I said, never had one fail when torqued to that spec.

    I appreciate companies listening to feedback but at some point designing products that need to be redesigned to be better feels like selling an inferior product so you can sell the upgrade.

      Yeah, it’d be way better if companies never improved their designs to uphold an image that their first go at it was Perfection™️. Not all design improvement is a form of planned obsolescence.

    I switched to cloud over streamlight and surefire and absolutely love their products but recently bought a micro 3.0 for my 300 blk out and I 100 percent hate the switch on it. The buttons are too hard to press. I wish I would have known this before purchasing now I have to buy the legacy body and a unity switch to be happy with it so just want to let people know so they don’t make the same mistake. Wish I would have just spent the money on Modlite

      It’s not bad but the problem is overall price. What $200 for legacy body and head….$98 for z-bolt tailcap…and another $75-$80 for mod button with crane plug (unless you went AliExpress….but then I wouldn’t trust it with my life.) and boom $385! Got a rein 3 micro with tailcap button and remote buttons for $321 shipped WITH inline torrent mount (I didn’t even add mount to your setup) and….this is big one….my entire setup is waterproof to 100m for 24hrs, that includes tailcap and buttons, which I’m sure that crane plug/socket couldn’t handle a hard rain storm.

      I do have an Amazon z-bolt setup I bought for $168….z-bolt 18650 body, head, and crane tailcap….i bought a mod button with crane plug for $85…and it’s a great light for the $255 overall I paid….but I needed an 18350 (short) setup for my 12.5 with its small tail space and put the z-bolt o. My 16” upper. Got the rein 3 micro after.

    Figured it out between speaking with the owner of Midwest optics on Reddit and cloud’s site. They offer 3 types. Singular constant, singular momentary, and dual. $89 per clouds site. Btw the TA10 doesn’t work at brownell’s just tried it on a Geissele trigger I have in their cart. Gonna see if your code works at cloud since the rein 3 micro from Midwest optics only comes with a singular constant button and I prefer dual, or even momentary since there’s a redundant constant on the light already. So of course I gotta pay another $90!!! Of the 3 choices, I get stuck with my last option and the shop owner explained he cannot swap out parts and even he’s had trouble getting the buttons from cloud.

      @@TacticalAdvisor my bad. Yeah I caught the $150 part. Geissele ssa-x is $279 @ brownells so I had that covered….they are running a promo for builders 15 this weekend and they add THAT promo (if it works for your order) automatically. So every time I tried to add yours, it just said “not available” further inspection shows they were trying to save me…I’m trying to add a 10%!coupon to a cart that already had a 15% coupon on it lol. I have a cloud rein 3.0 micro in my cart with Midwest optics (only place that’s showing it in stock) and the description says it comes with the “new” remote switch, but in the pictures, the “new” switch only shows 1 button with an “X” on it…not a double button like you’ve shown here. I don’t know if the switch shown at Midwest optics is dual in the way that maybe “soft” press momentary and hard “click” constant? Or even how they got that picture. I’m so confused!!! I just want the old 2 round buttons as DAC already has a nice, slim, inline mlok mount for said buttons. I doubt they’ve gotten to figure out the new ones. If they are like yours does the outer dimensions match the old to use the DAC mount or no. Darn it!

    • @jasongaudreau2075
      @jasongaudreau2075 5 місяців тому +1

      Update….Midwest optics listing says it’s the “new” single button constant on switch. Why??? No momentary? I don’t want to have to purchase anything more!! It was perfect before with dual like the one you show here.

      @@CSMaaaann yeah…this is from quite a while ago. I shoot righty so I put my rein at 9 o’clock and my single constant remote switch at 3 o’clock. This way I can activate tail button with left thumb and remote switch with pointer finger on shooting grasp. The tail button is momentary until “clicked” in which it stays lit. The constant remote switch is exact opposite….in which it won’t turn on until fully “clicked”, but from there can be used as momentary as it will “turn off momentarily” while pressing it, and come back on when released…..therefore no necessary to have another switch to confuse and press negligently during stress. I love my setup….now, I’d like an mlok remote switch Mount solution, since I had to add a short section of pic rail to accomplish the 3 o’clock Mount. Why would I put it on top rail for c clamp thumb activation when the tailcap is already right there.
