Yep. I'm trying to decide between the Road Sofa or the SDC Gripper pro. I like the looks of the SDC, but a heated seat on the Road Sofa has me leaning a bit towards it now. Tough decision. Thanks for the review! :)
I have had mine for 2 years. I can attest it takes A LONG time to break in. Mine didn’t break in until almost 12k. I thought I made a big mistake. However this is the most comfortable seat I’ve ever had. The only mistake I did was not get the heated seat. I still ride year round, those 34° days I’m cussing myself. If you can be patient you won’t regret it after it breaks in. Also if your tall the extended reach gives you a great riding position.
Thank you for the follow up review- it's always great when something you like continues to serve you well for years. We appreciate you @Timber Time Outdoors
I upgraded from stock to the saddlemen roadsofa, heated and all. Nice looking, great quality. Mixed reviews needless to say. It wasn't for me. After a year riding multiple times, 4 to 5K miles still have not broken in.. Hard as a rock still. have to stop to rest my rear end, after 1 hour of riding. Not great for long rides IMHO. Looking to buy the Harley sofa or the mustang
I have a 23 Road GLide Special with the Mustang wide super solo seat and backrest. what I love about the mustang seat is it doesn't raise you up at all, and I love how the backrest is connected to the seat and doesn't wiggle all around. What I don't like about the mustang seat is I get monkey butt like an hour into riding. My two questions to you are, a) do you have any comparible comments for the RoadSofa? Does it raise you up at all? And does the backrest firmly lock into the seat, or does it connect to the bike under the seat?
Love the look but Dang!... Look how high it sets up,it looks like it sits you up Above the bike 🤔😬... Do you feel as if you are up above the bike?🤔... I don't know your height but do you have any issues to reach the ground?
Hey, Nice Video! I have a 2024 Street Glide and Wife and I are trying to decide if Saddlemen would be the seat for us. Stock seat is way too soft and spongy , it bottoms out on bumps especially the passenger seat. We also want heated seat now is that seat plug and play for the new Harleys?
I have a 2015 SGS looking to replace my stock seat. Mainly for my passengers comfort. How tall are you? Did you get the extended reach? My riding position of my stock seat is comfortable for me. I got the extended foot controls which helped alot. I'm leaning towards the saddleman or the Mustang seats. There's always good and bad reviews.
Nothing against this gentleman but I have a different experience. I saw this review and thought how perfect, let me contact Saddle men and ask about the Road Sofa EX vs the standard seat height of an Ultra Limited. I can say after 4 weeks that I still literally have no answer from that firm. All they had to tell me was the seat height itself which I could have gone out and compared to the current standard seat. None the less, the product looks great and I so no bad reviews so I spent the €1200 and ordered one out of Italy. Now I have it. The original seat forces the body forward as it to dump the passenger on the tank. This causes a "fight" so to speak and your nuts are the losers. This seat is fantastic in that regard as I can sit back more like on my Breakout in a chopper style and stretch a little. However, relative seat height, there is zero change. The same height as the original. I bought this seat for two reasons: 1. inseam height, 2. reach length. It did fix the reach length. Now, comfort..... I am skeptical. It is really stiff. This "magic" gel every review says it has, well it is not showing my butt any new tricks. I might not have cared if is solved point number 2 also. All in all, my experience is poor. Now I can experiment with other versions but as that specific saddle height dim is missing in their website, I will not bother with it any more. They have every other spec, but not that. The result is, that I can not recommend now will I recommend this saddle to anyone. The company could have solved my problem with a simple return answer to my question. Then I could have talked with them to find the right solution. Will I send it back? No because of point #1, but I will keep looking for another to replace it that answers all points and is still comfortable. That will just take time.
After riding my road sofa for over 22,000 mi in a crazy amount of hours and it's still stiff I feel like these seats are hit and miss I also feel like some of this is just hidden promotion because the heated seat which I have isn't that amazing just to have a moist ass lol My seat is still hard you'd figure that with it being a heated seated helps soften it a little bit but it doesn't after having almost 30,000 miles in on a seat and it still feel like I'm sitting on a cinder block that gets warm that was a good 800 bucks that I threw down the toilet between them and mustang because I've rode a mustang my first 20,000 on the bike horrible which drew me into trying to settlement still horrible I'm sure that people that have older mustang seeds and saddlemen seeds have great honest reviews because they were just coming out and trying to make an impression on the world but you know how it goes when you become famous you become careless
I purchase the saddleman road sofa for my 2021 RGS. I arrived Monday so I put a couple hundred miles on it. Well it has me sitting higher than the seat I have from Bad Boyz Cycle. I’m 6’5” and weigh 245. I’m going to give them a call and see what saddleman can tell me
@@motorcycledenafter a long ride, 200 miles, it would have my butt hurting. Not the same type cushion as in the saddleman. From short rides the Bad Boys seat is great
5,000-mile break-in.... that's a lot of uncomfortable time in the saddle / I have the same seat on my Indian Challenger with about 3,000 uncomfortable miles on my butt, love the look of the seat but not very comfortable. I've owned many after-market seats, some with a ZERO break-in period and others with approx 500-1,000 mile break-in. Just my opinion.
Love my Road Sofa seat! Had a Mustang seat but it caused tailbone chronic pain from the foam!!
I just ordered one for my 2017 Heritage Softail!! Can hardly wait to receive it!!
Considering this seat for my new road glide, I have to say the pileated woodpecker audio at 4:40 hooked me good! I will be ordering one soon

Great review and I'm glad you waited 3 years because sometimes feeling change after awhile.
Just got a Saddlemen Road Sofa 2weeks ago I put 200 miles on it the first day.Love it .i don’t think I need a break in period

I just reviewed the King 2up after 1100 miles and talked about a seat like this and low and behold I come across this Road Sofa, very nice
Did you get the standard or Extended and how tall are you?
I have a road sofa that’s got 25000 miles on it and it’s still a great seat.

It would be great if you would have pushed down on the seat to give us an idea of how hard it is. Thanks 😎

If you have tailbone pain it’s the foam, go to gel cell and it will stop.
Is your seat extended reach or standard reach ?

@@MrCRM2011 thanks for the info
I have about 60,000 miles on the one on my 2010 street glide and about 15,000 on my 2019 street glide.
The more miles on them the better they get.
I have a 2016 Road Glide Special. Is the Road sofa worth the money?
Imo. Yes@@briangleason5597
Is it waterproof?
No, it repels the water pretty well but not in a heavy down pour sitting there.
Soft beds cause chronic back pain, right. Soft seats cause chronic butt pain.
Did you purchase this seat or is this sponsored by Saddleman?

Those are HARD seats.
