I remember the fun I had riding to the Corbin factory in Hollister, Ca. and having my seat made right in front of me. That was the best seat I ever rode with. Glad you found one you really like because it’s so important.
@@markmcintosh7095Corbin makes a quality/heavy duty seat. Only thing I found is they haven’t progressed with new materials like other manufacturers. Their seats will last longer than most bikes, but lack the comfort and/or performance imo.
Good review. I’ve always swapped out my stock seats to Mustang seats and have been happy with those. I would like to try Saddleman seats next time. They get such good reviews I would like to check them out. Good luck with your new channel. Keep,up the good work.
Thanks for the review. Been looking at seats for a while now. Still haven't decided which way we want to go. Was thinking about trying a Lepera rt66 but there's very little info about them.
My instructions say that the rain cover is only intended for when the motorcycle is parked. Mine didn’t come with a cover I wonder if they {HD dealer} forgot to give it to me.
The seat doesn’t need to come off to put the raincover, you just need to work on putting it on while it’s in the garage before you need it. Practice before it’s needed does wonders.
I still haven’t decided what seat I’m gonna go with the Mustang triple solo with the backseat and backrest or the road sofa with the backrest I’ve had the extended reach road sofa no back rest and it was very uncomfortable so I’m really undecided which one to get because I don’t want to sit too high up and I don’t need my passenger to sit too high up by there. I want us both to be comfortable and I’ve been through so many seats. Please help me.
I bought a Saddlleman Road sofa in the carbon fibre look in November 22 I rode with it with 3500 km to break in the seat and it’s still as hard as a rock. I wrote an email to Saddleman to see if I could get a refund. They never replied. I wish I never bought the seat.
I bought the explorer seat for my 22 Heritage. They didn't make the road sofa for Softails. Over 10k miles & it was never comfortable, even less comfortable for my passengers. Less than a year old & their answer was to ship it back so they could take it apart to see if it was defective. All shipping costs were on me & if it wasn't defective they'd send it back
Great review and a great seat. I made the switch to @saddlemen about a year ago and I will not use any other seat on my Harleys. I recent put out a video covering the 4 different Saddlemen seats I run. GelCore technology is a game changer. Ride safe and enjoy. 👊👍🇺🇸
Seat looks awesome! Have heard plenty of great reviews about Saddlemen Seats! The Wife and I can't wait for our heated Saddlemen 😁 I have to say though, there is one thing that really bothers me. Having a motorcycle seat that is not waterproof just makes no sense to me! Who wants the hassle of a rain cover for your seat!? Like some of these air cleaners also, you need a rain sock!😲 Come On!!! Such a pain in the ass! Make everything waterproof please, it is a motorcycle after all 🤷
How’s the seat look when you take out the back rest I seen the leather when ppl removed it be all folded and dented after using the backrest for awhile , does it go back to normal ? Or do you alwyas just keep the back rest on? Like in your video You see a tiny hole or indent where the set screw it and the seat where the back rest slots in is all folded
I put over 10k miles on my CFRS, and it actually became more uncomfortable by the time I got rid of it. Also, it was not explained that if didn’t buy the seat with back rest, you couldn’t add it later. You would have to buy a whole new seat. So I went with the Mustang Super Touring Deluxe. Much better ❤
Good review. Does the saddleman seat sit you different on the bike. Like higher or back or front further than stock seat. Also good info on the rain cover. Wasn’t aware that you shouldn’t get those wet
Good review ! I just came across your channel actually and I'm happy to support you and other fellow motovloggers. I look forward to seeing and hearing more from you in the future. Keep up the great work and ride safe out there ...
@@brandonsbikes1038 thanks. I’m having a really difficult time finding the right size winter and for my street glide special. Already tried the clock works 6 1/2 and I felt like a bobble head high speed… I think I’m gonna go for 11 1/2
@@brandonsbikes1038 already tried it 6.5 is way too short so is the 8.5 I a bit too tall. May try the 11.5 but not of the fan of the looks of a tall windshield but function over form
Your bike reminds me of Matt Laidlaws bike, and for that reason is why I can’t give you a thumbs up, it seems you have copied him, sorry about that, hope you understand.
Brother that tip on tightening that screw to adjust the back rest was HUGE!! Made all the difference in the world! Thanks!
Glad it worked out! Yeah I remember it made a huge difference when I did it. I remember thinking, “why didn’t I do this sooner”. 😂
Thanks for the honest review Brandon, we appreciate you.

Definitely important. Cool looks will only get you so far on a long trip. Seat can make or break it.

I had a Saddlemen for a few thousand miles and it never broke in, stayed very firm.

I skipped the back rest because it looks like it doesn't leave much room for the passenger.

never mind the rain cover how about a water proof seat like Harley makes. instead of just being status quo

I love my Saddelmen Road Sofa, although I will say it does take a couple a thousand miles to break it in.

Bought my 21 street glide with 3 miles part of the deal was a seat off of a new road king. Wife is happy
Did you put a stock Road King seat on there or a Road Sofa?
Stock
Thanks 👍

How does the Road Sofa do vs perceived engine vibration? I have an older TwinCam and it's a little lumpy on longer trips 😅
The vibration doesn’t bother me at all
Don’t forget that seat needs to be broken in. It will soften up. 👍🏾

I didn’t like it, my wife hated it. It took me from sitting in the bike to sitting up on it, awkwardly. Ended up giving it to my dad and he loves it.

It’s definitely a little higher. MAYBE a little further back but I’m not certain. Thanks for watching!
@@brandonsbikes1038 thanks for the quick reply. Appreciate you
I just order this seat. I got it made in all whisper. So the rain cover is not needed
No heat, no seat. Great vid though, thanx.
Does the saddleman set you lower to the ground compared to stock ?
Yes it does. I didn’t measure it, but it does.

Wow - I believe you - but that cover looks like saran wrap and not sure how the hell water gets through there - 🤷♂

Living in Miami … I need a seat that is waterproof without that poncho.
What size windscreen is that?
6 1/2”

The rain cover sucks! Maybe use a trash bag. The seat is very nice.
Do you still like this seat?
Yes I do
Love the seat, but that bag in the backreast looks cheap, like an afterthought
Get yourself a air hawk
Harley needs to stop making seats and handle bars.
Yeah I wasn’t a fan of the stock seat
A seat that can't get wet is a POS
Arrgggg! That annoying music😮
