You should do a video about hand placements and guards, although there are a few, it's important to know when each one is appropriate,to know what level you should be to try them and which ones fit which style

      Balance.
      Balance is key.
Don't let anger cloud your training. Also, martial arts is about knowing when a fight is worth it and only doing what is necessary. Stand your ground, be aware, but do not bully. Do not become the problem. Do not rush into battle to prove a point. Be prepared for the possibility of the enemy having a firearm. Do not be afraid to explore gun safety as well.
Being a victim does not have to be optionless and education on all forms of defense and combat is not outlandish.
      Good luck, for real.

when u realize mike Tyson has landed close to 300 punches on ppl and they didn’t get knocked out u realize u can probably take a punch better than u think. obviously seeing them coming makes them do less damage but main thing i would recommend is focus on getting great defense. like actually doing everything u ca to get amazing defense meaning reading about it watching videos asking coaches and teammates and focusing on it during your sparring for now

The disarm/playing possum always works wonders. My friends usually showed the hand on the nose/chin, slightly dip the head down to the power hand and then when it's covered spring back up for the hook. It's especially useful when you ask them for an explanation of something they have to think about, very distracting

Hey Tony I got a problem whenever I'm slipping. I have really broad shoulders and whenever I slip a punch to either side it misses my head but almost always hits my shoulder either square if I'm not fast enough or clips it.
The only way I've avoided this is stepping towards the direction I'm slipping or doing a really deep slip. But this really slows down my ability to counter since I'm have to go so far out or down to avoid one punch, and is slow to begin with. I can't just move my head out of the way and counter cus I'm always getting hit on either shoulder and it disrupts my flow.
    Any suggestions?

I’d say in my 55 years on this planet I have been in close too 700-1000 fights, actual hand to hand combat. That includes hockey fights, martial arts tournament fights, working in night clubs for 10 years as a bouncer( 3 fights a night sometimes) growing up in low income housing community being bullied every day. Takes a toll on ur body and mind for sure.
Better than getting beaten up I “spose.🤣

Tony you need to make a video for people to defend themselves. What are they going to do when they get hit? The only way to teach a person how to fight it's for them to be in a fight you can't teach with words. That's like teaching a person how to get a high school diploma without them ever going to school.

My mate used to put his arm out & keep them at bay at the end of his fingers on their chest. He knew if they pushed forward to punch they were in range for him to hit them he also stood on his tip toes while he was doing this

Nice. That's how you get tough. I was always short and fought people bigger than me. People your size would be a breeze.

Will this work on females? We typically fight by pulling hair and do windmills 😅

😂😂 Apparently. The last time I was in a fight, I broke someone's nose, and I was 11/12 years of age all because the girl hit me first for no reason.

Guys. I've been in a few fights. Most of this advice was solid...
