Ref was definitely up to some shenanigans. Fury kept going for a collar tie pulling Usyk's head down and the ref kept warning Usyk instead. Glad this Fury saga is over and they can't hold the belt hostage anymore.
Tyson Fury is a part timer, a media personality with a small side-hustle in boxing. He had fought just 5 times in 4Y prior to this fight, and some of those fights were absolute garbage, like Furys-Chisora 3 and his fight with an MMA fighter. Usyk finally exposed him, and he deserves great credit for this.
unlimited times..... The look on shit house fury's face as he was saved by the referee, and the bell. Usyk should have made him kiss the deck of the ring floor. .
In the 9th, why did the ref stepped in? Fury never touched the canvas, the ref should of let it go and it would have been a KO, Fury’s arms were down, his face wide open, another punch from Usyk and LIGHTS OUT. Am I wrong here?
Yes you are wrong there. Also it is downright stupid to assume "one more punch and lights out". He was saved by the ropes, by the rules that is a knockdown. Everything was by the books.
I think it was a excellent decision, fury has come back from ko like that , and these two are the top 2 best heavyweights , ref kept his composure, sure it was difficult watching fury been hit with clean shots like that, as both are my favourites...😢 But ref kept his cool, and fury came back , deserving razor think margin victory for uysk.
So many commentators said today heavyweights are too big and would easily beat past heavyweight champions. Usky moved up from cruiser weight to be beat bigger heavyweight champion like Joshua and Fury.
One of the best boxing performances I've ever seen from Usyk. I thought he was in trouble midway through but he turned it round in spectacular fashion. A genius at work 🥊
It is just as well that Peter Fury formulates the game plans of his own fighters. No one is really heeding the common sense and logical advice that he gives. I am just a boxing fan. I am just a novice, mush less an expert. Yet I was appreciative of the fact that he had the foresight to state that certain things had to happen for a T. Fury victory or a "train wreck would occur". What he said was not "rocket science" but it did require thought. I do not understand how anyone can think Usyk could be knocked out in 7 rounds unless his opponent lands a lucky punch in his mid-section? The man lives in crude barracks in remote "ice villages" months before fights. He is so mentally tough because of this. He could be knocked down repeatedly, take a bashing, and yet he would still only get more tenacious and determined as the fight goes on. I wonder what Tyson's accommodations were. There is no doubt he too is mentally tough. After all look how recovered after the 9th round. However there is a difference between trained mental toughness and natural instinctive mental toughness. One can be coached and one cannot. Again If I remember correctly, Peter F. said something very similar to that as he stated that a fighter needs both to win a difficult fight. It was Usyk's preparation that got him to go all out and all in. He was trained to get going when he was getting hammered. I wonder what mental toughness training Tyson received in camp. Did he live in such austere conditions as Usyk? It is hard to say but I think I have my answer.
No I feel like since this was such a big fight it would kind of be a shame for it to end like that. I’m not saying the referee couldn’t have stopped it, but I feel like with a fight of this magnitude, it should’ve went on. But I understand why you think the referee should’ve stopped it.
@@danielgoodman1279it has to be stopped on any pro fight, when a fighter gets rocked to the point of being held up purely by ropes, it’s already a tko, there’s not many fighting sports where they let you beat on a guy that’s down(except ufc I guess) but this was a good call, he probably saved fury the cte
I saw the whole fight live, and I still question the judge intervening. Tyson was on his way to the canvas, and despite his history with Wilder, he would not have come up from the canvas had the referee not saved him from the physical knockdown. He didn’t know where he was from the look of his eyes. That fight would have been waved off had he tried to get up. And the fact that one judge scored it in favor of Fury is corruption at its ugliest. Clean victory for Usyk. The man is a legend. I have been a massive fan of his ever since he first fought Joshua, but even I was doubting that he could win over such a big, and talented too, fighter like Fury. P4P best fighter of this generation and among the best to ever do it, in my humble opinion.
That would be easy if boxers like Tyson Fury didn’t MAKE himself the bad guy. He did this. Was it for publicity or just his personality, we don’t know. But his actions brought upon these ill feelings.

Well, it was a standing knockdown, so the ref did the right job (I remember back in the time a guy was killed in the ring just because he was hanging on the ropes but rules have changed since then and it’s good ). It’s the same if Tyson touched canvas with his glove - do you want refs to let the fight continue in such cases too? In the end, Usyk was given a knockdown, so it’s fair. Im glad Usyk won but let’s be reasonable (and it takes knowledge of boxing to understand the situation too). Ps I remember that ref Steel was abused because he stopped the fight (was it Chavez Sr?) 2 sec off the end when the guy who was KOed in his opinion was winning on cards. Same logic - like why don’t you let the guy survive 2 sec and win the fight and bla bla bla. But his response was great: I am a referee and not a time keeper. Good job from Steel there and from this ref here
It’s not insane at all. Many people predicted his win. although I don’t see Fury actually getting dropped. I mean if the ropes weren’t there, he likely would have fallen. But he didn’t drop him.

Technically wasn’t too far off as fury basically won all the rounds up until the 8th except for the first round and maybe the second. Lazy punches by Fury set that up too. Very amateurish mistake
Every shot after that was a thing of beauty , that was some of the best shots to a hurt opponent you can get ,a lot of fighters rush and throw wild and tire themselves out , Usyk was excellent, there must have been 8 or 9 great punches that would have finished any smaller heavyweight , he just lacked the power to finish Fury.
The left in the round before where he broke Furys nose was another great shot.
