@TheJorus (1) Crisis Core was not written by Hinorobu Sakaguichi, which already means that it isn't going to carry the same ideas that he had. Sephiroth went insane because he read the books in the Manor and because the Jenova cells that are injected into each SOLDIER called to him. Remember, JENOVA was a calamity that fell from the sky and all that? Basically, it was an alien from outer space that crash landed on Earth and started a war with the ancients. This is actually interesting...
Genesis has to be my favorite character in the game being the fan girl that i am and i know alot of people would prefer gackt's voice but i'd prefer the english voice actor....in my opinion.
@banglefaar What in that scene shows that Cloud understands? He's mumbling his words, yeah well he screams when Zack dies, but then he leaves the spot and starts walking towards Midgar. Ever thought that during that walk the mako addiction (that's still there, even though he's walking and talking abit), and a traumatic event of seeing your best friend die, wouldn't mess up his head until he reaches Midgar? He's even having trouble carrying the sword (didn't do it that slowly earlier)
@banglefaar That's one character, but how about those civilians screaming and running away? I was expecting for Serah to die, but no, she became a crystal. The story would've been deeper if she had died, or become a C'ieth. At the end of the game it's pretty shocking to see almost all the party members transform into monsters.
you can use the PC's screen as a screen for psp if you want with a cable that you will need to buy, therefore the FPS sign above if that is why you thought it was on an an emulator, which isn't possible at the moment
@Rezzenator Might just be residue from their bodies. Or the degredation has a corrosive effect? But most likely, they just did it for the appearance factor. Designers don't usually take a logical outlook on looks. After all, Cloud's hair defies gravity.
@TheJorus Cloud wasn't mumbling in the original...he was gurgling and making weird sounds. He crawled to Midgar and Tifa found him at the train station. In the Crisis Core ending, he nods and thinks to himself about how he cares for Zack and will live his dream. This means that Cloud knowingly LIES to everyone about being a soldier which is not the case at all.
lol, Genesis is by far one of my favorite Final fantasy characters, but too bad he's such a douche lol xD "The world needs a new hero!" "haha, come and try" "So smug... but for how long?" EPIC.
He almost looks like Bahamut Fury in his transformed state, the "wings" on his back sprout spikes or shards or whatever. That, combined with a red armor, like a knight's. Truly an awesome form.
ya i know it takes place in 2 dif universes but the game if they were compared to our style of living takes place in 1990s it says in one of games when some1 was checking fone....check on the net ull find it somewhere
@TheJorus But Sephiroth went insane over the fact that he associated himself as the son of Jenova...who really is an alien from outer space that landed on the world years ago for the ancients to fight off. The only reason he was so bad ass was because Hojo (his father) injected Lucrecia's (his mother) fetus with Jenova cells. This caused Sephiroth to be insane in the long run. He just didn't know because that was the unfortunate crime of what Hojo did. Vincent even says this before you fight him
@TheJorus (7) Changes in characters..like the yaoi looking relationship between Cloud and Zack, the fact that Zack fights an army at the end, has an ending speech that contradicts Cloud's deus ex machina story arc in the original game, the addition of a goddess that was never mentioned in the original thanks to the fact that VII covered EVERY aspect of the lifestream, considering Cloud was in it literally. I am not a fanboy of VII, but I sure don't like good things being changed and they were.
@TheJorus (2) I guess somewhere in this war, the ancients discovered that Jenova cells raise the abilities of people. This is why SOLDIER and anyone servicing in that department are really powerful. So going back to Sephiroth, he was normal until he finds speculates his origins and reads under the manor. Let's not forget that Hojo injected Jenova Cells into Sephiroth while Lucrecia was pregnant. This explains why he was so amazing at things at a young age.
my way of dealing with it, is to first keep activating barrier and Mbarrier for defence against the legion attacks and genesis' limit break, the purgatorial wave, use assault twister on the legions, then when genesis plunges his sword into the ground, keep using vital strike. (and pray you get good limit breaks such as healing wave, lucky stars, octaslash or apocalypse)
So this is possibly what happens to Dante after going all the way into hell ending up in a completely different world with a cooler trench with armor shoulder pads on it and growing a wing like sephiroth.....Or perhaps genesis was doing his own Cosplay version of Dante XD
He is the son of Jenova, the harbinger of death that fell out of the sky. He's also a part of Project J (I think it is, Jenova) and those wings are a sign of him being the one winged angel. He never used them though, at least I haven't seen him use it.
actually the cuscenes at end of the game kind of imply that genesis is kadaj i complete the game yesterday the pit does get kind of confusing u need to collect all the goddess materia then keep looking around the first cave for other ways to go
@TheJorus (2) I guess the first 12 games in the series don't count given that was how they were. Square dropped the ball and were lazy is the bottom line. Interaction with the world and locations is vital to any story where you save the world. If you don't know the world, the cities and towns and the people that live in them then there is no tension or drama behind what you are fighting for.
@TheJorus (1) The problem with XIII is that it takes 25 hours for the game to get good. Had there been exploration, a better leveling system and characters that weren't complete morons, I could have take any direction in where Square decided to start off the story. Instead, it was linear and boring. Even Square acknowledged that they tried something new with XIII and that alot of people hated it. Their excuse was: "We didn't want to take a wester-audience approach."
@xTexasxHerox Yeah, 3 remnants of Sephiroth that show up from no where or have no explanation, have cell phones and black leather outfits with the number to Rufus, have the entire Shinra Corporation by the balls in less than a week, yeah it made no sense. Spirits Within carried the same theme of FF VII about the Lifestream. It had a Cid, a cameo with a chocobo (made a label on clothing) world catastrophes and characters that don't come from no where. Just because it's sci-fi doesn't make it FF.
@OperatorFive Because Final Fantasy villains ALWAYS have terrifying monstrous forms as their final shapes. Look at Sephiroth's "Saviour" form in FFVII for example. ESPECIALLY in FFVII's universe, crazy monster-forms seem to be the "this thing is super powerful" indicator.
@TheJorus Too bad Minerva shows up. The whole speech Zack gives Cloud contradicts Cloud's condition at the time. So Cloud understands Zack, picks up his sword and proceeds to Midgar to blatantly lie to Tifa and company about being a Soldier 1st class? That makes little sense compared to Cloud barely making it to Midgar, with slurred speech for Tifa to watch over until the beginning of VII. Remember, Cloud was supposed to have a warped mind here. He doesn't at CC's ending. Square fucked up.
Use costly punch on the sword and spells that do a lot of damage and cover a lot of ground like ultima and flare to take care of the monsters. Costly punch can be made by fusing magical or hammer punch with octaslash. Also be patient, the fight will take a while. If you still can't beat him just try straight leveling.
@ramjingco (1) Oh really? Because last I looked, there was a game called FFVII that came out in 1997 with a perfect plot that included Cloud WITH a Buster Sword, a small part with Zack who gave Cloud nothing but ideas on what the both of them could do before being shot dead. Being ashamed of not making it into Soldier for Tifa, Cloud unknowingly took on the persona of Zack, his friend, and lived a lie because of the horrible experiments Hojo did to him including the injection of Mako.
hey i got a ques. how do i use adaman bangle i can equip it but it doesnt show the stats to 99999 wat do i have to do plz help me i died about 50 times trying to kill genisis avatar any help here???
@banglefaar And was Cloud super emo in Crisis Core? No? He merely lacked self-confidence. The only AC-like battle in CC is Sephiroth's flashback AMV. Do you have a problem with Zack being an average person? How is it stupid? Explain me. What is Geneva the spirit of the world? The thing is, things going on in Crisis Core are secret from the public, and any Crisis the public knows about is 7 years before VII. Crisis Core doesn't fuck up VII's storyline at all. If it does, feel free to EXPLAIN.
well if ur still fighting him i suggest spamming thundaga for BOTH battles and if u use the lucky stars limit break then use regilar attacks since they will be critical hope i helped
@OperatorFive yeah they don't need that but it looks more badass square enix actually tries to give you a good sight (sometimes than a maximum of gaming pleasure) ... but that's not a problem since the REAL FINAL BOSS is genesis in HUMAN FORM !!!!!! (you'll fight him again after genesis avatar)
I sure will, I'll upload everything that comes after this (I might not add all the battles but I sure will do the soldiers one) and of course the sad ending.
When monsters are summoned use fiagra and keep topping up on ether When he is just standing there doing nothing, use blizara on him When he starts to move the sword, top up on ether Hope this helps :)
@OperatorFive This is pretty much a side effect of Advent Children and the expectations it created. Sephiroth in that movie is supposed to possess all the power he had in the final fight of the game...but he's human instead of a giant eldritch abomination. But then, like someone else pointed out, they echo FFVII and have the very finale of the fight be against Genesis' human shape.
@TheJorus (3) Then the whole Nibelheim incident was changed...for no reason Genesis is now the reason Sephiroth goes batshit by being told by him on what he was rather than figuring it out on his own. Instead of being under the manor for about a month reading nonstop about the Jenova Project, it was reduced to a matter of days. Did you see how many fucking books were down there? That's impossible. Then, because there is AC looking fighting, everyone asks how Cloud beat Sephiroth?
I had trouble at this part to. took me FOREVER!! But I used Darkness and Vital Slash. and I made sure to have Cura and ALOT of potions. What I did was use Darkness over and over with the monsters and then vital slash each time with the sword. That took care of the Genesis monster. and when you fight Genesis (human) use darkness sometimes and vital slash (if your lucky) and just dodge his attacks. It takes time but you'll get it
@banglefaar ...aaand I said LOVELESS was an EPIC. Which means it could be true. Minerva may be a goddess in the world of FFVII, but it doesn't mean everyone knows she's one, or if she even exists. Genesis believes so, because he believes the entire LOVELESS epic is true. People know Gilgamesh and Väinämöinen, but they don't talk about them as if they were real heroes or mighty beings, because they think it's just a story. You can't fix our "stupid", but you should fix your own. Your behaviour?
after you defeat him a cut scene appears show zack laying on the groud bleeding 2 death because he got badly wounded fighting genesis then laying there he dies peacefully
Genesis is too awesome.
"The goddess, descends from the Sky", "The gift oh the goddess".
the bests words from genesis ;D
I've heard "loveless" so many times in the game that I memorized it
WIth all this talk about the goddess and what not im surprised Genesis wasnt in Dissidia
@TheJorus (1) Crisis Core was not written by Hinorobu Sakaguichi, which already means that it isn't going to carry the same ideas that he had. Genesis has to be my favorite character in the game being the fan girl that
i am and i know alot of people would prefer gackt's voice but i'd prefer the english
voice actor....in my opinion.
When you read too many Edgar Allen Poe poems.
I'm so happy I found such a clear clip. I wanna draw Genesis Avatar XD!
Genises looks so epic with white hair.
"Damn you!"
I don't know why, but the tone of Zack's voice made me laugh...
I haven't played Crisis Core but in the Dirge of Cerberus ending, Genesis flies in larger and larger circles till he flies off screen lol
if genesis still have the red cloak with the white hair he would almost be a clone of dante on devil may cry
@ReaperHei Genesis was never ment to be a Villian who play Devil may Cry
@banglefaar That's one character, but how about those civilians screaming and running away?

that "damn you!" at the end is totally awesome!

This means that Cloud knowingly LIES to everyone about being a soldier which is not the case at all.
@PatrikVorg Genesis was a friend from Angeal and Sephiroth and he likes the book "Loveless" very much
@mimato Those Protected by the Stars / SOILDER Battle. Those are the last two final songs.
lol, Genesis is by far one of my favorite Final fantasy characters, but too bad he's such a douche lol xD "The world needs a new hero!" "haha, come and try" "So smug... but for how long?" EPIC.
He almost looks like Bahamut Fury in his transformed state, the "wings" on his back sprout spikes or shards or whatever. That, combined with a red armor, like a knight's. Truly an awesome form.

Dude i totally thought the same thing.
Moves and looks like one!
dante should be like genesis but instead of always talking about loveless he should always talk about the divine comedy :D
my way of dealing with it, is to first keep activating barrier and Mbarrier for defence against the legion attacks and genesis' limit break, the purgatorial wave, use assault twister on the legions, then when genesis plunges his sword into the ground, keep using vital strike. I never thought of it that way. Well spotted.
So this is possibly what happens to Dante after going all the way into hell ending up in a completely different world with a cooler trench with armor shoulder pads on it and growing a wing like sephiroth.....Or perhaps genesis was doing his own Cosplay version of Dante XD
Yeah but he looks like Dante with longer hair a one wing on his back.
ah . i little tip guys . what materia do i need to defeat genesis rhapsodos??
He is the son of Jenova, the harbinger of death that fell out of the sky. He's also a part of Project J (I think it is, Jenova) and those wings are a sign of him being the one winged angel. He never used them though, at least I haven't seen him use it.
hey you guys what the name of the song that plays during the battle between Zack and Genesis???? =/
why does he say that he carries a part of sethiroth in him
actually the cuscenes at end of the game kind of imply that genesis is kadaj
i complete the game yesterday the pit does get kind of confusing
u need to collect all the goddess materia then keep looking around the first cave for other ways to go
I just love the song at 2:59 its so emotional ^^
LOL i was thinking the same thing. genesis looks like dante from DMC2 in this scene....but dante is half demon, genesis looks half angel lol
@TheJorus (2) I guess the first 12 games in the series don't count given that was how they were. Square dropped the ball and were lazy is the bottom line. Interaction with the world and locations is vital to any story where you save the world. @Mastersilvershadow in a diffrent scene i thought it looked like angeal had 2 wings. like a wing and a half. i could be wrong
genesis looks ssoo much like Dante...

How do you put it on the computer screen may I ask? I'd like to try that if possible.
There is something to be said for what starts at 2:07 . And that is
"BY THE POWER OF GREYSKULL!"
0:12 Was that Dante From DMC ?
Use costly punch on the sword and spells that do a lot of damage and cover a lot of ground like ultima and flare to take care of the monsters. Costly punch can be made by fusing magical or hammer punch with octaslash. Also be patient, the fight will take a while. If you still can't beat him just try straight leveling.
I hate how Genesis looses his color -_-..I miss that rust colored hair
Genesis has come a long way cause i know for sure he's still out there for future final fantasy VII's, hint from dirge of cerberus secret ending
@ramjingco (1) Oh really? Because last I looked, there was a game called FFVII that came out in 1997 with a perfect plot that included Cloud WITH a Buster Sword, a small part with Zack who gave Cloud nothing but ideas on what the both of them could do before being shot dead. i still dont get what the gift of the goddess is and what does he have to do with weiss and nero.
why is genesis hair white
how do you get the final goddess stone thing. where do you find it???
well if ur still fighting him i suggest spamming thundaga for BOTH battles and if u use the lucky stars limit break then use regilar attacks since they will be critical hope i helped

when did dante join the ff7 games and where his guns at.
(i kno it actualy genesis but it looks like da guy from devil may cry)
I sure will, I'll upload everything that comes after this (I might not add all the battles but I sure will do the soldiers one) and of course the sad ending.

looks like dante in DMC 2
it scared the shit out of me whenever i paused the game to see how much hp he had and saw that it was ?????/?????
love that battle music.
nvm, my remotejoy is being extremely gay and freezes my PSP every time it loads a new screen.
I can't upload anything else until I fix this.
it's cool how genesis into the demon boss from FF6
@winxbilievix100 try the missions. they help level up plus you can get pretty good items and materia
Man that boss battle music is pretty cool does anyone kno the name of it???
this game is the best of the compilation.
What was that form of Genesis called again?
Crisis Core seriously has a way better story than FFVII.
@OperatorFive
This is pretty much a side effect of Advent Children and the expectations it created. Sephiroth in that movie is supposed to possess all the power he had in the final fight of the game...but he's human instead of a giant eldritch abomination.

im at this part now in the game and i cant defeat him! any hints or tips?
where can i find all cgi clips?
@Puppydog487 he sounds like riku in kingdom hearts though I'm not really sure. At least that's what I think.
@winxbilievix100 do shinra training missons ,vs 50, vs 100, vs200,vs1000; you can rack up tons of SP that lets you get a much more frequent DMW verges
@TheJorus (3) Then the whole Nibelheim incident was changed...for no reason Genesis is now the reason Sephiroth goes batshit by being told by him on what he was rather than figuring it out on his own. among his friends Zack is the wingless angel (or so i think)
WHERE!Where you see them!
well I think the style is good personally. I do agree however they needed to cut back the arm flailing.
@banglefaar ...aaand I said LOVELESS was an EPIC. Which means it could be true. Minerva may be a goddess in the world of FFVII, but it doesn't mean everyone knows she's one, or if she even exists. after you defeat him a cut scene appears show zack laying on the groud bleeding 2 death because he got badly wounded fighting genesis then laying there he dies peacefully
The original owner of the sword is angeal
@ReaperHei no he's the one and only genesis.
I wounder, what happens. after Genesis takes Weiss what happens? is there another game? like DC2? jeez I shouldn't overthink things
Zack's reaction in 0:44 is like Sora's in Kingdom Hearts
Genesis has one wing.... WHAT A BITER!
does zack die and go to the lifestream and tries to kill genesis
oh shit i'ts dante
Why is this boss fight SO much alike ff10 with Jecht???
Dosent the Degrading Genesis remind you Dante from Devil May cry?
Jenova VS Genesis...... who will win???
damn why does he look like dante?
how can you play psp on a pc? please tell me
