Two problems with this instructional video: On the L bracket, they are directing you to install the nut plate on the incorrect side. And, on the support bracket, they do not clearly tell you that these brackets are right and left handed. If you install the support bracket on the wrong side, the nut plate and bracket are out of position and also touch the body…. Somebody marked the ziploc parts bag with a felt tip pen in what looks like a D & P, to supposedly denote driver and passenger. However, the writing is smeared and half wiped off. A $.01 sticker denoting driver and passenger sides would have been the appropriate way to mark the bag. And, for a company like Paragon, I am very surprised they didn’t provide an accurate and more clear installation video. All in all, the execution in providing the customer with clear, need to know information for a headache free installation is lacking.
At the time stamp of 2:55 you can see the correct position of both brackets. As for the sharpie marks on the bag, the left side is D from Drivers and P is on the right for passenger. We appreciate the feedback on the packaging and I’ll pass it along to the shipping & kitting team.
Right but, at the time stamp 0:50 you clearly direct the installer to put the nut on the wrong side. So, by the time the installer goes to install the bracket as shown at time stamp 2:55 he’s already installed it backwards. And, if he doesn’t know any better or installs it without thinking, it becomes a big issue. Support bracket: It would have been much better to clearly call out in your video that there is a right and left side bracket. Instead, you are relying on a half wiped away felt tip marking of D & P to alert the installer. Properly “labeling” the bag driver and passenger sides and clearly pointing out the difference in your instruction video would clear up any confusion and prevent problems for the installer.
The 4 brackets are not the same 2 are for the LH and 2 are for the RH. I ask, how do I know what side to install them on? 2 brackets for the RH and 2 For the LH. The Brackets are a Mirror Image they are bent in the opposite direction.
I’m confused at how this would be advertised as an OEM like grill. It states it’s CNC ~ but there are big gaps. Looks cheap. Hopefully they will adjust and create a new grill at looks like it is supposed to fit.
@@ParagonPerformance Of course, installed properly. Installation is not rocket science (you even have a video). The top outer portion is not secured and eventually flaps around. It works perfectly fine at first install. But over time (especially after weathered use), the sticky tapes eventually fail. No worries on that as it can be easily replaced. But it seems the parts get softer over time and eventually flaps. Not worth the hassle for $200 or at any price. Your other products are typically top notch. I think this one just needs to be redone.
@@ParagonPerformance I double check but I think that's what was done. The problem was the top outer corner has no support so it just flaps during highway speeds. I just had my installer pull them off because I couldn't stand the rattling sound with it flapping around.
If the tolerance was any tighter the install would be really difficult. The side intakes don’t see much debris, the guard is just for extra protection and peace of mind
It is worthy to note that for maximum adhesion, double sided tape should not be applied when it's below 50 degrees.

The left side is ALWAYS the driver's side of the car which makes the psngr side the right side...ALWAYS! 👍

I love the way these look and have been thinking about getting them but I’m concerned with cooling...
We track one of our C8s with them on and our other C8 Is procharged, you won't have any issues.

$200 "on sale" for this when the top portion flaps/rattles at high speed is very unacceptable...
We've had these on track with speeds up to 150mph with no issues. Did you make sure the top tab was installed properly?

They rattle too much and the double sided tape doesn’t hold that long

@@pauld520 totally agree Paul. It's a complete ripoff at $200 (actually at any price with the rattles).
This video is terrible on the small details, which way the tape should align on brackets..etc
The tape goes on the outside of the bracket so it can stick on the body.
The fitment of this accessory looks like crap 😆
