I only discovered your channel two or three weeks ago. Already learned some really useful tips. Some are "lightbulb" moments such as your casual observation in this tutorial that the clouds, as they recede, are flat bottomed. Of coure they are but how come that has never occurred to me, despite the fact that I've been looking at skies for 80 years. Doh!! Thank you, thank you
Stephen missing your tutorials my friend, praying all is well with you and your family!! This picture is beautiful 🤩 thank you so much for sharing your talent your amazing.
@@claudiabarillari4626 yes i had to remove it as i just did not have the time for facebook. It takes over peoples lives...its just deactivated for a while.
Thank you so much for such a wonderful tutorial!! I learned a lot from watching you with just this one painting, which is very beautiful!!! Thank you again for sharing on UA-cam!!
Such a beautiful painting and wonderful tutorial. I really can't wait to give this one a try. It's so reflective of the beach views in my home town in Dorset and actually reminds me so much of Sandbanks and Studland beaches. Thanks!
HI Stephen lovely to watch and a really nice painting I do love watching paintings come to life one piece at a time. Until next time take care and stay safe my friend.
I gave it a try, it’s my 6th painting so far it was a little difficult for me but great great instructions and very doable techniques. I’m very pleased with the end result. Thank you so much
Hi Michele.. sorry for the delay. I had to sort out new security for my channel as there was suspicious activity on it for the last few weeks... i should be sorted this week..
What oil paints are you using in this video just wondering.?? Brushes you might recommend because when I paints it leaves brush strokes I don't like that.?
I love your simple technique, quick and effective. Have you ever thought about adding some different colours to you pallet? Sometimes i feel like your paintings seem a little flat which could probably be fixed with a greater variety of colours. No hate just a suggestion :)
Thank you kindly... i do have a lot of extra colours in my paint box but to be honest i feel having too many colours on a pallete can get confusing for beginners ... i like to use earthy colours ... i find when artists use very bright colours the paintings can become very saturated.. i suppose it depends on the subject matter but landscapes in general have only a few colours as the basic tones , unless its a sunset perhaps..thank you very much for your comment...
as vezes pegamos uma foto como esta com nuvens mais carregadas e na hora de pintar acabamos mudando tudo com medo de ficar feio ..mas vale a pena tentar porque fica lindo...
