Brilliant, just a brilliant sky , i love everything about your version , so close to the pic , i love it all but you know everyone's a critic. I don't really like the boats. Thanks for the tutorial , you helped me bigtime with blending color
So amazed at this painting! The artist did such a wonderful job. I also discovered what my mistakes were... very informative, absolutely enjoyable! ....Thank you!!
Hi Stephen. I absolutely love this painting! The colors are amazing. I’m new to painting. I started during the pandemic and I really enjoy it. I have learned so much from you. I love your style of painting. In your tutorial you said to be careful not to “muck up” the Colors. Of course, I did, but I will try again and I know it will come better. I love your patience and the way you explain and show every step. Thank you for all you do!
This looks so easy watching u do it..I find i fear it being hard n sych myself out but if really watch n pay attention most of the time. I do better learning when trying on my own Going along with someone makes me try go copy exact .whitch always fails.but u do make it easy...
I think you gave an excellent demonstration on color mixing & unity, as well as demonstrating how to paint yellows & oranges next to blues w/o getting greens, for those who don’t know. Lastly I’d say you did very well getting the angles & planes right. Great demonstration/ tutorial overall
Hi Stephen what a beautiful painting this is, your water has always been brilliant but the sky in this is absolutely fantastic so with the sky and water together and one of your frames the whole package is a beautiful thing. Until next time take care and stay safe my friend.
I'm am very new to oil painting may I mack a suggestion? Put the colors you are using the same way you put your welcome up. That would make it much easier for people like me who are just starting out. Very beautiful painting. I can't wait to get to that point in my pating path. Thank you.
Fantastic painting demonstration thanks. I've had a go using the colours you suggested and water dripped down painting. I dabbed it off and it too paint off and I can't seem to get paint to stick on now. Any suggestions thanks
Yet another great tutorial from you. I will get my oil paints out soon. You have inspired me! Can I ask what brand of oil paints do you use, and also do you wait 6 months before varnishing and framing? Thank you Stephen.
Thank you Stephen...i use georgian oils...also winton for some colours... i normally dont varnsh my paintings..i find they last just as well without it. But for bigger artworks i do varnish them . I wait around 4 weeks before varnishing as i i use thin layers..if i use a lot of palatte knife in a painting then i would give about 6 weeks
@@EasyOilPainting thank you so much! I may have some of them. My mother left me a bunch when she stopped painting. I usually employ the wet on wet technique so I use big brushes.
Thank you Yovette.. my camcorder is great but it makes the file size very big..its 20 gb on the camcorder but only 2 gb on the phone..its a samsung photograghers phone. 5 different cameras. Fantastic video quality
@@EasyOilPainting The quality of the video is excellent! I have been toying with using something besides my camcorder because of the quality. I woner if iPhone has something similar. I will have to do a little looking around. Maybe Santa is listening. Lol 🥰 Thank you Stephen.
Would the blending be a little more difficult with acrylics, because it’s drying faster than oil? Please advise me! Greetings from warm and sunny ☀️ Aruba.

You are so right, Alizarin Crimson and Cad Yellow make a stunning bright orange. The Cad Red and Cad Yellow make a much duller colour.
Thank you Lindy....
Nice tutorial, thank you. Can you tell me how you built your easel?
Thank you very much for your painting tutorials. Please can you recommend an alternative to turpentine?
Hi Miranda....you could try low odour turps...its very good..

Would the blending be a little more difficult with acrylics, because it’s drying faster than oil? Please advise me! Greetings from warm and sunny ☀️ Aruba.
Yes it would be more difficult. You can use a medium to slow the drying as you paint... it works really well
Can a beginner paint this with acrylic? 🎨
Yes that would easy enough..🙂🙂.
Can you please tell me what is the size of canvas?
Its 20 x 8 inches. Thank you
You using your stubby brushes in this one?
Yes i do use them for most paintings. 🙂
Cheers! Must get some!!
